Rat Distortion Plugins! Which One Is The King Of The Pack??

- Due to JHS bringing out another amazing pedal the Pack Rat Distortion pedal, which is basically 9 versions of the famous Proco Rat, I thought I'd look into my own plugins and go through some different Rat distortion plugins are see how they are, sort of half shootout, half demo of 4 plugins. Hopefully you guys get something cool out of it.

love how fuzzy and almost big muff-like the pro drive is. But I have the R47 and its pretty accurate to my rat pedal

Dropped Db. So The top 5 strings are half a step down and the low string is 3 steps down from standard (dropped D half a step down)

I think the TSE R47 is the most accurate in modeling the low slew rate of the LM308 opamp (that glitchy fuzzy mess when you dime the gain).
The Nembrini Black and Guitar Rig's Cat sound good but very modern. Maybe they're modeled after more recent versions of the pedal?
A couple of months ago, Plugin Alliance was giving away some coupons and I got the Brainworx bx_blackdist2 (Rat) for free and it sounds great as well.
Thanks. I agree, the black sounds to me like an interpretation of the rat in a more modern context like what 'would it sound like if someone designed a rat for metal' and less like an actual rat. Wish I'd known that deal as brainworx have some great emulation. There is definately a slew of other emulations out there too.
It's actually extremely close to be honest. Like enough I wouldn't bother hunting down an original if I was just playing at home. Honestly I am just waiting for some hardware that can do NAM captures for playing out, but using this I have no need for either. Even playing against the NAM captures this thing sounds equally as good. I will totally be buying the creator a few beers on for this one. Excited to try his other pedals as well!

Plugin alliance rat is tye most accurate, free 15 day demo kid
No way, the TSA r47 is the closest by far. It almost 1:1 except the volume is just a tad off of the real one. It has a little more gain in it, so just dial down the volume about 15% and they are almost identical.
