Hi, Same as others, I can't find the Impulse response... exept for that, thanks for the amp sim, it changed my sound in a good way, I just want to try it with the IR but... where can we find them?

I used to use the Emissary VST but switched to using the fluff 5134 as my go to amp sim. The standalone desktop app is also great for practicing quietly.

Man, that mix at the end sounds amazing. I think it might be your best mix yet. There's so much separation between the instruments, but they still all sound massive.
I feel like we've only scratched the surface with impulse response technology. An impulse response can be an acoustic snapshot of anything. I use Waves IR1 in my studio and I have a library of impulse responses of various acoustic spaces. I can put my drums in Abbey Road main room if I so desire. Greatest thing since sliced bread. Love it.

Very true. For those wondering, you would run your impulse response of the room in a "Convolution Reverb" plugin.
You actually got me thinking about getting some IRs for that.
Thats not new, that has already been done many times before.
Dynamic IRs are also just starting to become a thing. Wonder how far that'll go and what else it'll inspire!

@@nickvalle4688 when you go to the link in the description your asked to sign up to subscribe and you’ll be sent the files. They were never sent. I got in contact with customer support but they sent me the wrong files. When I asked them to help me by sending the correct files they basically shrugged their shoulders and said that’s all we got…….. I came here to see if anyone in here had the right files. No one got back to me. I gave up on it.

I've been really impressed by all of ML Sound Labs amp sims. They're not all free, but most of them are very cheap. Their JCM800 and Plexi sims are great too.

Good to see a shout out of ml soundlab wares, really good stuff at affordable prices, pro tip for anyone going to try them for the first time make sure your gain staging is good and you set the input knob of the plugin right so the light comes on when playing, only headache i had with those sims as they dont come with a manual or any instructions. might be worth doing a vid on gain staging Glenn, some comments here sound like people are stumbling into that without understanding what there doing and it really makes all the difference with amp sims. Also was hyped when you announced the free ir because all the V30 irs out there are silent on year of the speaker captured or specify the later ones. Similar issue with greenback irs which why i repeat my request for an ir of those vintage blackbacks you found, they sounded sweet for more vintage/less modern sounds.
I have been watching Glenns videos despite not being a metal guy myself. I wish other audio production/guitar youtubers were as awesome as he is for other genres.

Thx to ur videos I discovered amped root, revalver and ml sound which helped my creativity A LOT thanks to those incredible free sounds!
Btw I discovered other free vst plug-ins for drums from ml sound and lord it took my creations to another level.
+ I used ur recording advices in terms of number of tracks playing the same riff recording several times and played with different sound levels. And the result is INSANE!

Another cool alternative to the Voxengo plugin is VTarAmps Double Tracker. Used it on a friend's practice tracks for his band just to widen the sound up.
Love these videos on free plugins, Glenn! Most of the time, I'll fantasize about gear but in this case, I got my copy. I'm super excited to see what riffs come out. Definitely a cool tone! The stereo touch is also one of my new favorites. I've used it to get guitars and vocals some space in dense mixes and I've had some cool results. Also the V30 impulse is my current go-to IR, I loaded it into my twonotes torpedo live and I've been using it on my recent Swola entries. Cheers and thank you, bud.

To load an IR in the Windows version of Amped click the little IR text next to the silver CAB switch on the front of the amp itself, it's not in a window. Next to the output dial. Took a sec to find that, cheers.

That stereo plugin really helps with my panning issues for leads and stuff sounding weird panned center or double tracked. Thank you again for the free stuff. I've literally learnt more from you in a few weeks than I did at this shitty sound engineering course years back were half the lessons were just basic piano stuff and essays on jayZ and lady gaga for some reason and only 2 classes a week actually in the studio.

I've gotten great results with the Guitar Rig 6 free plugin, Roots, Stevie T free version, and currently playing around with all the different amp models in the AMPLEX sim which is crazy for free! Using NadiR to load IR's and my favorite is usually the ML sound Labs Best IR in the world (also free!), but I can't wait to try this new IR from Glen!

Please do "How to resolve phase issues when using multiple IR's". I've tried your IR in combination with my own IR and it took me a good while to find a solution for the phase issues (just flipping the phase didn't work and I had to fiddle with delay in the NadIR VST). My guess is that people who want more unique sound will blend your IR with something else (either their own IR or something bought on the internetz) and this is the problem they might face.
These riffs from whoever the gentleman is playing, have been so good.
The nalex crunchman sounds fucking sick as well. It's one of the best amp sims I've used. It's a gain monster, a classic rock amp and a bluesy crunch amp in one go. Get a proper IR and you're solid.
I like this kind of stereo effect, this why i like to use two amp one pan right and one pan left in any modeler. It's not good for recording but very cool to practice.

Those IRs kill !! They sound amazing on my Helix with just a little blend. They sound pretty good clean as well, I have a nice Metallica clean with them.

I love what you can do nowadays with free stuff. I have plenty of paid amp sims, now i work with a complex analog signal path that sits on a small table, but i still have respect for the free stuff and it would never stand in my way to do something with free amp sims.
I am loving Amped Roots and Ignite Emissary, but I keep going back to the SimulAnalog Guitar Suite from way back in the day.

Dude! Thanks for the cab sounds. My guitar sounds way way better now. I have a charvell with emg 81x85's and that sounded great but when I would go to my legator 7 string it would just sound thin and also muddy. This really brought the entire thing back to balls town
I took your Lewitt IR and blended it with an impulse of an Eminence DV77 IR. It was the IR I was looking for. Loaded it in my Helix LT and boom.
the ninja and the ml sound lab plugins are both SICK \m/
the free IR from Glenn is also amazing for bringing to life those other questionable IRs you have in your collection when blending them. If you have difficulty understanding an IR is a digital speaker then maybe the banjo might be better suited to you than guitar, or you could be a singer :)
