What I'm curious is how the hell does it know which room it is in when you move it around. I thought in the past it could look for "landmarks" to reposition itself, and if necessary it could even go to a corner.
Actually, when you pick it up and put it back to a random position, it'll start to turn itself around twice. During this period, it shoots out an extensive amount of lasers and it ALWAYS knows EXACTLY where it is. And if not precise enough, it'll roughly know where it is until it hits a wall. That's where it has it's EXACT position at last, so it'll recalibrate that way as well. The software on this thing is genuinely impressive and you get ~1 firmware update per month. It's like the tesla cars of the vacuum bot industry - like autopilot!
I've had an S7 for about two months now. I think it is the best thing ever. If you have the standard charging dock, don't put it directly on hardwood or the damp mop will soak the floor over time. I put some contact paper on the floor under my dock and that seemed to help.

Bought S7 when it hit the market in special offer, so the price was realy good. Week ago I've purchased the auto empty dock station, so now it's all complete and even better than before. Great device and time saver!
The biggest feature of the cleaning station is, that it is the first one that doesn't need a bag. But tbh I think the station is nearly useless. The water tank last maybe 2-3 times max in my apartment and if i have to refill water and change the mop, i can do the one step to empty the dust compartment, too.
Arun, what is your opinion on Apple’s decision to allow the public to repair their own devices using parts that they supply? I’d love to hear your thought on this!
The only problem I have with this is you're UK based but it's near on impossible to get it here or if you do it's stupidly marked up in comparison to the US market. If you're looking for a comparable one get the Eufy x8. Doesn't have the bin unfortunately but all else is the same and far cheaper.
I have the s6 which uses LiDAR. I love it, but the s7 came out 2 month after I got the s6. So I was a little salty about not having the latest and greatest. The s6 I’d give a 7/10 overall. It sometimes gets stuck which sucks because 9 times out of 10, if it would’ve just backed up, it could have unstuck itself. But other than that, it’s been pretty good. The features I like better on the s7 would be the mopping feature. The s6 just drags a damp cloth, which is ok for regular maintenance, but I still have to mop manually. I also like the higher intelligence of it to unstick itself. I like the concept of the self emptying when docked, but that is what I have read the most complaints about. Apparently you need to by bags from RoboRock, or it doesn’t work, and apparently they are expensive which only adds to the overall cost of ownership of the s7. I think I will wait for the next generation to come out to see if it’s worth upgrading.
I know this comment is 6 months old, but I'd like to clarify that you don't need to buy the bags. You can either use it with the bags shown in the video, or just as a dust container that you can empty yourself. The second option is comparable to something like the Dyson cordless vacuums
I have long thought about getting one of these cleaning robots, but i always end up finding a reason to skip them. First of all i'd have to get two for each story of the house. Then i'd have to remember to leave all doors open when it's about to clean. It probably wouldn't be able to clean the most important places: it can't get under the dining table and chairs to clean up breadcrumbs, and it wouldn't be able to clean the kids's rooms when they leave toys all over the floor. Also, i don't think it does a more thorough cleaning than i do with a big 1400W vacuum cleaner and a mop.
Having owned multiple ones in a vig house with kids, what it does is make it so you only need to pick up that vacuum once every 3 months, so it's great either way even if it's not completely perfect. We just carry it down and let it do its rounds once a week on the downstairs floor, you don't need two of them. Ours run every weekday when we are at work, and because of how often it runs it always gets through the entire house, if the doors happen to not be open it will just get them the next day, it's not something you ever think about. Personally recommend you get one as it has saved many many hours for us.

I think we are all robots
@pïññed By Mrwhôsethboss you ain't fooling me
Viewers to Arun :- How many times you want to Rick Roll us?
Arun :- YES.
I'm sold. You're a good salesperson Arun 😄
That is so epic. Now it would just be nice if I had the 1000€ to buy this thing lmao
I really like how you put those memes xD, like this one at 8:11
The only problem I have with this is you're UK based but it's near on impossible to get it here or if you do it's stupidly marked up in comparison to the US market. If you're looking for a comparable one get the Eufy x8. Doesn't have the bin unfortunately but all else is the same and far cheaper.
Try looking for a xiami equipped with a lidar and mop. There are other brands with similar features.
The future is coming alot quicker than I expected
I am not surprised that he owns a Rick Astley cardboard cutout 😂
this is changing my life thanks so much!!!!!!
Disclaimer: This channel is highly addictive 🙏❤️
Yep
Ok
Arun petting the robot is so wholesome ❤️
