I grew up driving a 2-105 White and a MM 670 and MM 1355. Always liked Whites. Wish they still made them.
A G-1355 is way up on my wish list to film. Very cool tractor.
So nice to see a newer Cummins powered White, in the nineties they were strong competition to the other colours including Deere.
Love it ,we used to run White back in the day .
Very cool.
BTP thanks for the stunning explanation of those tractor houses become one, the emblem or decal shows it fantastic, I knew they had something in common wrt mergers etc but you explanation nailed it. Thanks so much for showing also one of each of the previous models, it did it for me
That was some fine info on all the colors!
Love your videos. Nice info and history on the tractors and machinery. Love seeing these Americans tractors working aswell
I grew up driving white tractors. 2-70 2-105 2-135. Nice to see old memory’s
Thanks. They still run today still work as hard as ever great tractors.
Nice WFE tractors. Did you see Toy Tractor Times just produces a 1/64 scale 2-105?
bigtractorpower
No. I would love to see or purchase one
Go to www.outbacktoystore.com they have the 2-105 toys in stock.
More White/ Oliver videos please!
I am always on the hunt to film them. They are are harder to find.
I'll ask a customer of mine. He has a huge collection and still farms with them
That's a nice white.
The Workhorse is a nice series.
Nice White!
Nice to see before computers took over the control.
👍👍👍
Beautiful tractor, love the drone footage also BTP.
Thank you for watching. The drone was a great way to follow the tractor.
Great video Jason! Love the WFE silver!
Great aerial shots. Love your channel, keep up the good work 👍
Thank you for watching.
As a European, the older 3 and the White brand are unknown to me. Thanks to YT i fell jn love with MM. Very interesting information you told about the merger in to the White brand. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching. The White Farm Equipment story is an interesting one. In the 1950’s through the 70’s White Motors was the largest producer semi trucks in North America. They diversified in the 60’s buying three farm equipment brands and Euclid construction equipment. I am glad you like the Minneapolis-Moline. Here is a video I made on a Minne-Mo 4wd m.ua-cam.com/video/iscP8FUSvSE/v-deo.html
@@bigtractorpower thank you for the information. Both White Motors and Euclid are unknown to me. Just chased some Euclid vids here on YT. Some impressive, serious machinery that is.
Thanks again. Cheers, from a Dutchman living in India.
@@bigtractorpower Euclid! Who would have thought. I wondered what happened with that manufacture over the years but never looked into it. Thanks to you I discover the most fascinating details.
2xKTfc short answer: Terex
I grew up on these and one of my farming buddies that have a bunch of these is an awesome mechanic and knows how to turn these things up to the max without hurting or damaging anything and driving a normal and then one that's been set up is so awesome big difference but these are awesome tractors and thanks a bunch for the videos on these it didn't seem like it's been three months ago you posted this it's a Workhorse have a great summer my friend👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👊👊😊😊
WFE and Oliver tractors are machines I am always looking to film. I have an Oliver 1850 video on the way. The Work Horses are stand out in the silver line. Thank you for watching.
@@bigtractorpower I can't wait to see that it's going to be epic I know we had a couple Oliver 66 s Oliver 88 2 77 1600 1855 1900 and the big silver four-wheel drive and a few more those were the ones I got to drive all the time growing up as a kid much love and respect to you brother🖒🖒🖒👊👊👊👊
Cool Video!
Thanks for watching Mike.
As everyone knows - I grew up on a Cockshutt, and always will love the line....
I had no idea...so, apparently, "everyone" doesn't know...
I would like to get to film more Cockshutts like the 570, 1950-T, 2150 and 1855.
I never heard of Cockshutt till I saw my first one on Classic Tractor Fever or Minneapolis Moline for that matter. I've lived in the Missouri Bootheel most of my life.
That corn planter looks like something from 1960's. Small in rows but theres small farms. Still miss the Oliver & Minneapolis Moline colors schemes. Be well 👍
In the 60’s a 12 row was huge. 8 row planters were big time. 12 row planters really became more common by the mid 70’s when folding tool bars became available. Before that the big planters were transported on a flat deck trailer from field to field.
That setup tho😍👌
👍
Great video
Thank you for watching.
Nice i love your channel . Keep up the good work .👍
Thank you for watching.
Nice looking equipment and farm thanks for great video
Thank you for watching.
Thx for sharing 🔝👍
Thank you for watching. I like filming all the big modern machines but it is always nice to find classics like this 145 to feature.
Always nice videos
Thank you for watching.
I still remember when everyone knew who made the sraightest rows, no wides and narrows-this guy seems to be in that category
I was thinking the same thing until I noticed a GPS receiver on the cab.
Good video, but I did miss you riding in the tractor. I just looked up the engine. It uses a 5.9L inline Cummins. I'd imagine it's the same engine as in the Dodge pickups & a bunch of school buses.
Wonderful video
Thank you for watching.
Cool video Jason! Who’s farm was this?
We have a 145. It will be for sale next year. Fresh paint and interior.
Just went and saw your tractor, very nice !
Very cool.
I'd bet it'll sell fairly quickly.
i have 2 agco white 8610 tractors and 9812 white planter, the dt series is the same as the10 series just differant color and number.they both use 8.3 cummines and funk 18 sp powershift trans which are awsome.
Very cool. I have always wanted an 8000 Series. The 8510 to 8810 is big on my wish list to film.
That field could very well be getting snow on it this week. Was that really filmed recently?
This was filmed in 2015. I have a big archive of unused footage.
I didn't know these were agco and I never noticed the plow decal included the four colors, very nice touch. I have operated the very similar 140. Did they use the 5.9 in the two larger models?
@@nellsonstout7001 thx. Actually I'm not sure if there was two or three above.
Derrick Zenner there was
Interesting on White 145 and planter. I just watch J and L Videos of 6100 that came after 145 what a big difference and price $20,000 more 5 years later. If you compare 145 to Magnum 7100 series, price at $69,000 in 93 with 8.3lt Cummins n less horsepower then 145. It would be interesting ask owner of 145 why he brought 145, was it features or price or AGCO dealership? Great vid👍
I find most often with WFE owners they were a loyal Oliver or Moline customer and just kept going. A farm I visit started as Moline event to WFE and is now Challenger. They have stuck with the products as they evolved.
Did he plant the head land first.
So a tractor simply "straddles" the row marker from the pass before? Always wondered how that worked. If there's more to it than just that, please add your imput.
It’s as simple as that. I will have a video talking about how it works soon.
The extra wheel that folds out, does he somehow line up on it for proper spacing?
That is a marker arm. It draws a line for the tractor to follow back so each pass and all the rows line up.
The Field Bosses began with the 4-150 in 1973
That is always a topic of debate. The 4-150 may have been introduced at farm shows in the fall of ‘73 but it would have been a model ‘74 year tractor.
First production White 4-150 SN 246-001 produced March 6, 1974. Per White design and refinement Form 432-696.
What’s suggested price for this planter?
I do not know. I saw on Machinery Pete a used 2014 model is listed for $50,000.
The CDC engine, is that the same engine as in the Case IH Magnum??
The magnum has the 8.3litre.Cummins in it.
And glad I got the 8.3 than the little 5.9 pickup truck engine
Kmeic farms?
Is this footage from 2018? I don't think there is much fieldwork going on in the upper corn belt region as of yet for 2019. It's been very cold and wet....
Gerard Heck: And they are probably getting snowed on today. I think he mentioned in a previous comment that this was filmed in 2015. Still it was a very good video of a very nice tractor and planter.
@@ChiefAUSOh thanks for the info. I missed that comment somehow....yeah, good video of the White 145 and planter. At this very moment it is "thunder snowing here".
This was filmed in 2015. It was something I wanted to share for a while. People seem more inclined to watch Planter videos in the spring season than other times of the year. I have a big archive of videos filmed but not used yet.
@@bigtractorpower That does make sense. I for one am glad to see good footage, old or new - the equipment matters, not the date number we put under it.
Whites always seemed to be unbalanced as in nose lite. That's ok with only rear traction but this particular tractor was front assist.
WFE Field Boss tractors were based on Oliver designs. The 130 to 150 hp machines were on the Oliver 2050/2150 and the 180 on the 2255. I have not noticed them to be light compared to other tractors.
Funny you say that they are light Jason. Oliver made a big deal back in the day that they are heaver do to their cast frame. No other tractor line had a cast frame that cradled the engine. The other brands used engine block as the frame. The Olivers also had a cast grill that add 300 to 500 pounds depending on the model. The seat was also set directly over the rear axel for a clear view of the rear hitch. Other brands set forward of axel and had a fuel tanks blocking the view of the hitch. JD put the fuel tank on the noise to add weight to the nose to help with front nose being light. White/Oliver FWA models do have more of a rear rake to them than a two wheel drive does. I was told that it was design that way to give better clearance for cultivating. We never cultivated any thing so I can't say if it did or not. LOL @@bigtractorpower
Don't see this much any more
I like finding classic machines.
