- It has been a very productive week. The corn is planted. 1st and 2nd time. The soybeans are just about done as well with a few hiccups along the way. Spraying and Sidedressing are also moving along nicely.

Ivers Farms is a family-run farm since 1936 located in Southeast Illinois and Southwest Indiana.
Dennis is my kind of guy, you make a mistake, own it,no excuses just tell it like it is, I appreciate that
As a retired farmer from Texas you got to screw up once in a wile to show us there is only one perfect one. God watch over us and keep us safe🙏🏻😁🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dennis, I’ve never seen a more competent farmer. You’ve just shown us your human like the rest of us dodos who do something dumb very once in a while. I admire your attitude of keeping on through all the frustrations.
UA-cam might be the only place where an accident isn’t called an accident-it’s CONTENT! Dennis, thanks for your humility.
Everyone makes mistakes it’s great to owe up to them, most would cut it out and that is why I look forward to seeing your family and videos every week
It takes the shoulders of true man to hold the mistakes with that much grace Well done Dennis no harm lost a little time May God bless you and your family In my prayers as always 🙏
I’ve had bad days….. but you got me beat. Ain’t farming fun,,,,most days. Never boring.
Dennis your a big man for showing a mistake anyone could make !
We are always racing from one field to the other and the"this will save me time " gets us every time. I have buried tractors, buggys, mowers, and balers. The other one is a close second is when i yell over the radio to my son that will hold me up won't it and he said I don't know it was soft last year is enough moral support for me to frame out the big tractor so we get to go home and grab the biggest tractor and a loader to spend all day getting the stuck tractor out of the 5 acres I should have left alone to start with🤣
Happens to the best of us
To go fast one must slow down.. is true alot
@@iversfarms turned into a windrow to sharp and broke the pto shaft right off on the 13th bale in the last field what are the odds
Glad everyone and the planter is ok, Don't be to hard on yourself, Nobody's perfect. Now that you have the one boo boo out of the way, you can get on with the rest of your season. Thank you for sharing.
Just shows youre human just like everyone else. Love the content!!
Dennis, there isn’t a single one of us that hasn’t done something “stupid” as you put it.
Charle Mike
Yea just goin through the videos awesome job on this one y’all
Guys you are a bunch of hard working folks like the videos
Mornin, look so forward to the Sunday morning show and those big red machines Reese👍
Good to see everything was okay. Love the real farmers that don't delete mistakes ty for sharing. Glad almost all the crops in the soil.
Just got a text that he’s done with first planting
@@iversfarms What a blessing.
We all make mistakes at least you got it out and no machinery got hurt. Great video guys. Thank you for helping feed Us all.
Great video Reese and Dennis
Awesome drone footage
Boss Man, thanks for showing you are human and make mistakes also👍. It happens, no one is perfect. 👍👍👍✌️
KUDO's to you Dennis for showing it like it is. We have ALL done it and know exactly how you feel, but it is NOT all sunshine and roses when farming. Sometimes things happen and it's all part of it. If LIFE were just the edited version think how shallow we would be? For it is adversity that puts the IRON in your spirit and backbone. GOOD JOB and another EXCELLENT video from the IVERS crew!!!!!!
Look forward to this year's harvest videos 💪🇺🇲🤙
Waiting on it to upload
@@iversfarms awesome
I'm glad u guys are getting done ur dad is doing good those things happen atless nothing got broken. Reese keep doing a great job with ur video there guys here in pennsyliva. Not done planting yet
Dennis you dont make any mistakes if you dont get get out of bed in the morning thats the way it is for me.
God bless you all
Another great video. I look forward to them every week.
At least Mr Ivers was man enough to own his mistake. No stupid comments from here. Enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work and be safe!!
I found something you would appreciate today. All my grandpa’s old equipment and farm, all for sale. My uncle bought it out and passed it down to his son, and aside from a white planter he picked up in the 90’s, he used all grandpas equipment. A 79 1460 International Combine, 1972 Ford 5000, 8000, and 9000 tractors.
I was climbing all over that 1460. It is miles ahead of anything else built in the 70’s. The planter was light years ahead of anything you could get in the 90’s for that matter. I wish I could justify buying that ground. 350 acres was a mega farm in the 40’s when he started out. It’s up by Chicago, it’ll bring $25k +. Grandpa was a character. He barely spoke a word after he came home from the Pacific in WWII. I became a Marine because of him. He started talking to us grandkids a bit.
Really neat seeing an old red machine, and how relevant and useful it is to this day.
That is cool, thanks for sharing that
You all one heck of a bunch of hard working farmers on top of it all u your farm is spot less as your equipment God Bless
Dennis, nobody ever messed up doing nothing!
Use to run a 14 and 18 foot Miller disk in the 70 and early 80s
S great heavy duty off set disk.
Brings back memories.
i wish my dad and grandpa would have bought land in the 80s so i could have gone back to the family farm. I miss it
The 80s were rough times
True farming family, you can't hold your head down when you make mistakes, own them, hold your head up high and keep on getting on, love that about
About Ivers farms,!
Great video guys! Thanks for showing the good the bad and the ugly. You can decide who is which 😂😂😉
Nothing ventured, Nothing gained. Dennis, you simply took a shot at something that just didn't work out. Of the many times a successful man goes out on a limb, one must expect a few misadventures. Thank you for the videos 😊
Action shot on the disk was super cool!! Have a great week!!
You guys have some of the nicest equipment on UA-cam can't believe ur not running a dually truck on that seed tender
Dennis, Reese has you drinking the UA-cam cool - aid. You know we love for those stuck videos. Thanks for providing such great content! It looked like the one tread went subterranean. You reach a certain point in life when the drives just need to be wider. The hours you guys put in these planters, I'm amazed it doesn't happen more often.
Good job diggin Jay! Nice action shots and angles and a nice capture Of Dave's YT filming fatigue while he was in full send side dress mode.
Great job David
Thanks for all the work making these videos - I know it isn’t easy. Always look forward to them.
Reese, you need to let us know when Jays due date is LOL! That wasn't a stuck, it was an inconvenience, glad the planter came out undamaged. Stay safe.
😂
At least nothing more than Dennis’ pride was damaged. Loved the drone footage to open the video. Hope you have the last of the planting done by now. We drove thru your area yesterday and saw how far behind the crops are in both states!! Actually saw several planters running within 20 miles of the state line on I-64. They were on the Illinois side.
He got done yesterday
And was patching in some holes in Indiana today before the rain
Reese another beautiful video, what a beautiful family company. And what an area, things are different here.
Don’t feel bad Denis. There’s one one that’s perfect and he sets in heaven.
Amen
Great video. Glad planter was okay.
Glad the planter came out without any damage done to it.
You guys just keep amazing me. Honest & hard working people who keep it real.
Thanks for your comments and kind words Jama
Pops it happens to us all from time to time. Good news no damage, except pride. Good job guys.
Absolutely love the channel by far my favorite family farming channel out there.
We all make mistakes! Glad the planters wasn't damaged! Roll on!!
The bearded duck never needed air conditioning. Lol just H2o now and then. Thanks Ivers family for another great video
😂
Great video! I think you have Jay on edge from that air horn poor Jay.. Lol.. Hope you all stay well. Also love how you showed that everyone makes simple mistake don't let it get to you Boss Man D.
Reese ,those drone shots are the best part of your videos. 6k acres of soybeans planted amazing now to get idea weather conditions and get that 70 plus bushels per acre.
Great video. Happens to us all at some point. Glad no one was hurt or equipment breakdowns. .
Y'all got her looking good
good afternoon to all the ivers crew from waterloo iowa
Y'all got everything set just right too
Bonjour, superbe vidéo , Dennis comme nous disons en France il n'y a que ceux qui ne font rien qui ne se trompe pas, rien de cassé c'est le principal, bon courage à vous👍👌👏
Nice video great drone footage . Glade the planter accident didn't hurt the planter Glade the shocker hitch works good not to bad milage on that truck.Really like watching the nitrogen applacator.
Great video good to see y'all again
Good to see your almond done
Everything is going well
I didn't know they grew almond trees too. They keep it up and Iver's are gonna' "own" snack food production! And snacks ain't cheap either!
Glad the planter didn’t have any damage, we’ve all done stupid things. I think I’ve done more than most.
Another great video Reese. Love the drone footage. Boss man that stuff happens. I’ve always said if farming was easy anyone could do it that’s why there the chosen few who do do.
been there, done that, Dennis, hope all's well! Art
Another great episode guys. Stay safe and God Bless
Don’t be so hard on urself !!! It happens to the best of us too !!! Live n learn from mistakes !!!
always had case quads, tried one of deeres 8RX tractors and was very impressed, put it on the planter think it’s gonna stay there
They are nice
Enjoyed the video as always 👍🏽 getting pretty dry here in south Alabama. Then again we are always about 3 days from a drought here 😅
I bet with that heat you guys get
Don’t beat yourself up too bad. Forgive yourself as much as you can forgive others. Good place to do some culvert work to make the driveway wider to the field.
Thing about mistakes is they let us know we are human. If you’ve never made a mistake you’ve never done anything…Reese as always the footage is second to none bud…the tender is nice and I’m sure dad appreciates the remote control…y’all keep em comin and stay safe💪🏻🇺🇸💪🏻
Good video as always. I just checked Amazon you can buy a ultrasonic leak detector for very reasonable price might be handy to have
Sounds like it
Ask Chet to bring his Yankum!
Thanks for the video. Still raining in mn. Oh well😁
You guys have had it rough from what I’ve seen
Good job boys :)🚜🚜
At first looked like the planter was broken but good thing everything turned out alright 👍
I got Two gage wheel arms and a closing wheel off of mine to put on it but that’s it
WHO is working he makes mistakes, only who is Not working makes no mistake. So that was only shit happens. At the end Ivers Farms did an amazing Job. Well done guys 👍🏻🤘🏻
Now we know why the cameraman has such a strong pitching arm carrying the camera pitching all the rocks and logs two thumbs up Reece
💪
Dennis you need to have the emergency brake away cable hooked to the truck from the seed tender.
DOT will fine you if they see it not hooked up right.
I think it does
Great Vid !
Watching that dirt get desk I can smell it
Hard smell to beat
Tell Dennis it happens to the best of us we got .60 rain this morning first good rain since April in eastern MT
A much needed rain sure is a good feeling
I'll bet a new entrance will be going in there...soon!
You sir are a honorable man
Great content!! Keep it up.
Dennis you’re awesome
Great. Well done.
The main thing. NO Body hurt.
We all have one of those days.
Lol I worked for a guy that would’ve went NUCLEAR if he got stuck like that🤣🤣. He would’ve beat the shit out of it with whatever he had close, cuss and throw a fit like a baby, then spend an entire day tearing shit up trying to rescue the planter😆😬💁. Ya ya nice to see guys keep their cool when they make mistakes🤣👍👍
Yeah that dosent help a thing
No, it does not, but It sure is funny as heck to watch😆😆💁🤦🏼♂️.
I like your video
as a member of the US MILITARY i have seen stuff get stuck.. and yes even a M1A1 tank.. at ft riley ks.. but to be honest ... that planter ... IS STUCK.. lol. glad there was no damage and we all make mistakes.... you live and learn . no matter how old you can be .. lol
Sh-t does happen on the farm. One night finishing up soybeans with dad and I found a wood chuck hole with the truck. Dad showed me there was one and I asked where the exit was at. He did not know….Coming back, I felt the back of the truck go down and found it!!! So we dug that out and pulled it out with a tractor. Thank god I did not break anything on the truck rear axles. Two speed rear axles are not cheap to fix!!
Glad it was you and not me…is what I’d tell dad…I made my share ,it happens
Sure enjoy ivers video
Here in Ohio. We tend not to plant the side ditches. Lol. _ _ it happens.
Adequate moisture though
Another great video! Question. In the opening shot of spraying beans, the tracks of the tractor were running over some of the plants. Does this damage them or are they young/small enough to withstand this? Also, are the tracks better for this than wheels?
You’ll get some. When it’s small it has a better chance of surviving. Tracks are better, less pinching and compaction
That planter had been through a lot this year, glad everyone and everything is ok!!
That’s for sure
Hi Reese, I agree with your comment that America is a great country, although I will have to disagree about America being the greatest country that ever existed. Great Britain in 1920 ruled over 13500 million square miles, which reprented a quarter of the worlds land mass. I just thought you might appreciate those facts. Good luck with remainder of planting. Best Wishes Graham
Yes, the sun never set on the British empire
it could have bean worse pleased your dads ok great video reese
I'm thinking Trip would have been great help with the stick removal .
He would of tried for sure
@@iversfarms I but my boys in Skidsteers young and they are very good at operating them .
Dumb question from a NY guy. Why do the seed beans get planted after the commodity beans? Is the yield less critical?
Just when things dried up to as why they were planted almost last.
Pioneer won’t let us plant them before May first because if you plant them too early it may effect the germination
Reese, I have the same shirt
