    There is something to be said about loyalty. The reason any particular farm has great success is due to loyalty. They value the equipment, properly maintain it and, in return the equipment takes care of them. Sure, all brands have put out less than desirable equipment. In the end its about pride of ownership. This video proves it. Great job showing us this full on AGCO farm.

    That has got to be the quietest combine I've ever heard running. Thought for a minute there it was electric powered. Cab seemed quiet as well which is a plus in my book. It's nice to see something other than green or red in the field. I've always liked the Gleaner combines and thought they offered a better value for the money spent. JMHO.

    The Gleaners really are a simple machine. I like the hillside capability without having to go to the complex self leveling shoe. Lighter weight makes a lot of sense too. Simpler is always better.

    Great video! I would like to offer a correction. AGCO moved the White tractor from Coldwater, Ohio to Independence, Missouri about a year before the 6000 series went into production. The 6175 would have been built right along side Gleaner combines of the time.

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  4 роки тому +1

      WHITE-New Idea built the original Work Horse tractors 125-195 and the Deutz-Allis 9100 series in Cold Water. In 1991 AGCO bought White tractors from White-New Idea and moved the Work Horse/9100 tractors to the Gleaner plant in Independence, MO. White-New Idea continued to build hay tools and corn planters in Coldwater. White-New Idea implements were their own company. In 1993 AGCO acquired White-New Idea and the Coldwater factory. The new AGCO-White 6100 and AGCO-Allis 9600 tractors moved from Missouri to Ohio after AGCO bought Coldwater. In 1999 AGCO closed Coldwater and high horse power tractor production moved to France in 2000. .

    • @ThatOliverGuyChris
      @ThatOliverGuyChris 4 роки тому +1

      I respectfully disagree with that. I went to the dealer product introductions in 92 and 93, and part of the 93 show was a factory tour at Independence. They were making 6000 series tractors at that time. I have pictures from the product intro meeting, but they wouldn't let me take the camera in the factory. For further proof, I looked up Agco's website from 1997 on the internet archive site, and in April of 1997 they show Agco White tractors being built in Independence, Missouri. I'll post a link in another comment, because UA-cam will probably mark it as spam. The history as I know it, the 6000 series production stayed in Independence until they were replaced by 8000 series that used Massey Ferguson drive train with a Cummins engine, built in the Beauvais, France. Smaller Whites were either built in Coventry, England or in Italy by SLH. When Agco bought the McConnell tractor and put the AGCO Star tractors on the market, they built those in the Coldwater, Ohio facility until it was closed.
