    Ive a 1995 w140 s-class
    I hope you reply to this message,
    I’m having a radio wire issue
    everything is connected correctly, like wire to wire, for some reason, my radio doesn’t come on when I turn the key to the second on position or when I turn the car on, what could be the reason for that?
    My red accessory wire / yellow power wire, turns the deck on when I connect them all together, which leaves the deck on even if I take the key out the ignition n it drains my battery if I let it sit overnight.
    every wire is coded correctly, color to color.
    I purchased a brand new (AMP) recently.
    so I hear the (AMP) turn on when I connect the (blue) wire to the (yellow) power wire, just to make sure the AMP turns on, which it does.
    I get no power from the deck system what so ever, when all the power wires are connected correctly.
    the radio (fuse) is fine. I’ve no blown fuses from the trunk at all.
    If you can reply back, that would be awesome!.

    • @MileHighDreamz
      @MileHighDreamz  5 місяців тому

      @@appleuser7114 check the fuses under the hood as well. If all is well then check the voltage to the yellow wire with the key off (radio unplugged) and see if it has power. The red one should be dead. Now turn the key on and check if the red is powered up. If it is then your head unit should power on so try a different radio or see if the original radio will power up. If either is missing power then you have a power supply issue. I’m pretty sure there is one under the hood on the drivers side

    so what is powering your amp? I have a 95 model of this car and did exactly what you just did, everything comes on except the sound?

    • @MileHighDreamz
      @MileHighDreamz  9 місяців тому

      The amount of I’m referring to is the original OEM amplifier in the trunk. It is powered by the same factory harness it is connected to in the trunk. The only thing we are changing is the signal that we send it. Double check that the signal wire (blue) is connected. If you are changing the radio because you had no sound before then maybe the issue is with your amplifier.

      Did you check to verify that the Amp power wire is connected correctly? If you have everything else set up it won't matter if this is disconnected. The head unit is sending all the signal to the Amp, but since the Amp is off it is not powering the speakers

    • @robertslawinsky295
      @robertslawinsky295 3 роки тому

      I have found on some aftermarket new radios that the amp turn on lead is faulty or weak and will short out on initial install sometimes a little carelessness and it grounds out and ceases to work all else fails try the antenna lead most new aftermarket radios come with antenna leads and amp remote leads get in there with a meter and check your voltages of the blue wire bluewire tends to be your remote lead if I'm not mistaken

    Does this work without the Bose system?

    • @MileHighDreamz
      @MileHighDreamz  3 роки тому

      I am not sure about the non-bose. I don't see why not. The bose has a separate Amp in the trunk which is usually where an issue happens in some cars. If you don't have a separate Amp then you won't have the issue with sensitive volume control. I would imagine nonbose is the same or easier. Check the plug type on the bag of your head unit to make sure you order the correct adapter.

      Yeah I had a lot of aftermarket Mercedes stuff in there for lining and a upgraded head unit that controlled the 6-disc changer I have the 6-disc changer control in my Dash and it doesn't work hence why they did all the work I just bypassed the amp and the Lines off the head unit and they work great I replaced thim with infinity hundred watt tweeters the rest of the speaker through the amp awesome job like your video

    • @MileHighDreamz
      @MileHighDreamz  3 роки тому +1

      Just make sure the impedence/loads are OK per the amp/head unit so the set up lasts.

    • @robertslawinsky295
      @robertslawinsky295 3 роки тому

      I have the RCA jacks running through the amp with the aftermarket harness I didn't clip them off but that frees up 4 additional outputs for your hard wire to speakers I just ran my tweeters to that on the front Channel the great way about doing that I don't get that ridiculously high volume to beep every time you change a setting on the radio does a little pop turn the radio on or shift between different things but I can live with that we ground somewhere anyways thank you for all the input quite helpful
