It depends on many things. 1) Recording devices quality. 2) Losing data through transmission. 3) Sound output device and its capabilities. 4) The software that the is used to translate the data to sound Etc...
This game is not the best in terms of vehicle sounds, there are others that are better, in my experience, the Gran Turismo Sport is more loyal to the real life sound of the cars
Hopefully in the years to come things will inevitably get better like a domino effect. Just think what people thought was fantastic 20-30 years ago is obsolete today or obviously nowhere near as advanced as todays technology. Imagine what we'll see in another 20-30 years.

(Not the same scale of mass production as a toyota prius though) My point being that top speed is secondary to handling and acceleration.
I still think that f1 engineering is really impressive because of how much power they can fit in an engine with barely any displacement and having that much downforce to still beat most of them in a straight line for 1 mile

Would have been great to get at least one run from F1 perspective to see what actually happened... from a standing start up to 300 kph, it's mostly about power-to-weight ratio and getting the power down, then it's just a race for top speed and aerodynamics when the F1 car hits a wall after half of the track and some of the hypercars can go 50 kph faster for the last bit of the race.
This video just shows how much of a dominator the f1 car is against supercars, and it managed to do all of that in a turbocharged v6, with too much downforce for a drag race

Drag becomes a problem at very high speeds, depending on the drag coefficient of every car it's usually above 250-300 kph. Even with minimal wing the F1 car would still not be the best at 0- 120 kph, after that it would catch up a bit, but it would be over in a quarter mile race by then. Anything that has similar power to weight ratio as an F1 car but also has ways of delivering that on the tarmac on launch, either through bigger tyres, 4-wheel drive, clever launch controls etc will destroy an F1 car in a drag race.

F1 cars have a lot better power to weight ratio, these cars just have higher top speeds, than F1 cars.
The aerodynamic drag and gearing are what limit the F1 car here.
F1 cars are built for cornering and will obliterate any vehicle on a track. Straight line not so much.
The one to one isn't one to one once there's a driver. It's just marketing. Still fast though

F1 in the 80s was really wild; a dinky 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder engine with some turbo and rocket fuel made 1500HP
and fuel economy in f1 is mind blowing.

That Ford Hoonicorn is a good challenge for my maxed-out Nissan Silvia K from Forza 4. It too can clear a mile in less than 20 seconds.
