Well the ray tracing was made by a team of Nvidia devolopers. This guy just made small changes. Its really almost the same.

Love the video! I tried to get some similar shots in mine but the way the installer didn’t exist yet so it was difficult to switch between normal RTX and betterRTX lol.
Honestly, this has a day and night difference compared to the stock RTX. But there are still things to be improved upon such as the fact that without Parallax Occlusion Mapping like in Java shaders, the textures look flat. The ray tracing mechanics could also be worked upon to make it more realistic than just pleasing the eye like the stock BRTX was. Nevertheless, it is a tremendous improvement over the blurry and janky mess that was Bedrock RTX.
they tried to make ray tracing that look beautiful and that still have this vanilla style. This is why on rtx the sun is still square and water vanilla texture is visible. On rtx the way light rays work is realistic but not the general look
the "stockRTX " was the original rtx of nvidia,some of remake version like lumen,vanilla,kelly,luna,kingdom of wallace,LBO nature,john smith,realsource are very good
we need volumetric clouds in the rtx version and it'll be perfect

I was saving up to buy my first ever pc and going completely out overkill with it so I’m buying the best parts that you can mostly just because I wanted to play modded Minecraft and custom bo3 zombies maps and other games with modded stuff and because some of my friends are starting to build their own pc and upgrade their setup
ive tried it recently, very cool mod, but honestly the thing i was hoping for is something about the entities, the light emissions at least .. but probably its not even possible at the moment :'(
Will be possible, we don't know when, they found a way to enable emmisive for entities but it introduced so many bugs. I guess it is a trial and error game 😅
I'm actually in the process of adding this to the mod for the next update!

This is insane, but there are so many things that better rtx is missing that java has:
- 1st person dynamic shadows
- Rain puddle splash effects on water and surfaces
- Waving plants
- Volumetric clouds
- Lens flare
- Etc...

1st person dynamic shadows could be done via an addon that renders the 3rd person model in first person.
The only thing better from this one is the wavy water, not gonna lie
it completely gets rid of ambient light, changes the resolution of the shadows because they looked awful, and adds more global illumination. also fixes a ton of bugs and does other really cool things
literally the lighting looks miles better in a more realistic way and not so flat like it did before when you play with you start noticing how much they have tweak

seus ptgi just has a more realistic style (and similar to this now), but mechanically this is way better
unfortunately, this mod makes noise a lot more noticable (you can see the shimmering at around 1:05). they made things sharper, but this sharpness in turn made the noise, that was previously blurred, more apparent. it's very nice to have a different sun angle, and puddles are also quite nice, but everything else is kind of overkill for what rtx in bedrock allows. and unfortunately they might not be able to fix those problems either (so they told). also, the infamous cave leak is also there (one of the main issues with bedrock rtx)...
to my mind, it's really difficult to visit caves after the 1.18 update, since they are larger and a lot more "leakier". but I've got to admit, rtx mode in Minecraft is too damn beautiful. and this mod is still pretty great.
Can you swap the dlss dll in Minecraft bedrock, if so then you can add dlss 3.5(don't know whether it will work or not but if it does...) to Minecraft which will end up getting rid of the shimmering.
anybody else having issues with lava that doesn't glow or illuminate light while an RTX pack and non-RTX pack are applied at the same time?
Sad that MC RTX has been seemingly abandoned by the Devs due to other workloads. I hope that one day it will receive a next gen update that at least adds in ReStir.

as this pushes more graphical fidelity out of rtx i’d say it’ll probably run worse

Try to adjust the shader, or turn off the texture pack that you have installed. If it doesn't help, try changing the version or reinstalling the main)
Do players have reflection on reflective stuffs?
Water, iron block etc..
thats currently not possible in first person because your character is not render at all on bedrock you can enable it but it will be like cyberpunk that you wont have a head well here you will see a floating tool or hand because thats how the game was build

It won't reflect your character but Kelly has a resource pack that makes tinted glass a perfect mirror

Eh, looks nice, but unless they fixed the bug that makes caves randomly lit up by the sky than it won't bring me back, it completely ruins mining and exploring caves.
That's render distance sadly.
The shiny grass ruins it for me.. It looks like a flat shiny surface.. I get 'puddles' but grass isn't reflective when it's wet..

It is not the world's first one. We have Kelly's RTX, Vanilla RTX and some other ones that works worse than kelly's and vanilla rtx.
this is a mod, not a resource pack. and kellys rtx works with this
this a pack made by kellys and madlad the guy behind defined pbr is a mod that alters the way ray tracing looks on bedrock basically they added new watter a ton of improvements to the sky box hey angle the sun put puddles when rain goes on tweak the fog and remove the terrible night vision on caves this can work with any other texture pack out there is the first because is the first MOD not texture pack that tweaks the engine
Kelly doesn't actually have any graphics programming experience and was not part of BetterRTX development. This is standalone mod that replaces the existing ray tracing renderer, and is compatible with any ray tracing resource pack.

@@gkaer This is a modification to the RTX feature in Bedrock edition. No this is not coming to Java.
@@gkaer it is a fan tweak of the already existing ray tracing features of bedrock which are not present on java if they can come up with something like this it will seus ptgi and even then the performance will be atrocious in most pcs here you need a capable ray tracing gpu and the upscaler because it wouldn run that good without it and you cant use those upscalers on openGL
@@gkaer vulkan mod is pretty perspective, I can see RTX coming to java in a couple of years with it. OpenGL is the reason rtx is not supported

raytracing/shaders need to be standard in minecraft, not mods/addons.

Yea....but shaders are better....it's sad that mojang added renderdragon because players can't download shaders for bedrock
better is subjective if you want something that looks more game like then yeah shaders are better also performance wise they are better but i you want a realistic lightin model shadows and reflections that behave close to real life and you have the gpu to run it this is waaaay better
