For those wondering, you do not need a 4090 for these visuals. I have a 3070 and can run these shaders and DH2 just fine. By using c2me together with the indium pre-alpha fro DH2, you can also get a longer render distance which smooths out the boundry between the DH2 mesh and the actual MC chunks. The mod Chunky is also useful to pregenerate large areas of chunks which are then visible through DH2. This also works on servers, but note that the client running DH2 does not know how the server world looks outside the server render distance, but will remember every place you have explored. Still a game changer and looking forward to how DH2 will develop in the future.
I have around the same specs as the person in the video and I barely get 60fps when I first start a new world. Chunks take forever to load and my fps gradually goes lower and lower as im playing to the point I'm playing it at 10fps. My ram gradually increases aswell to the point my 32gb ram is completely full. When I use the chunky mod, it always stops working due to an error such as "error - could not load chunk (12, -55)". It makes absolutely no sense how there's people out there with worse specs than me getting twice the frames. Even in a normal mod pack my chunks take forever to load and my ram keeps increasing to the point i get 20-30fps and if i leave it long enough it goes down to 5-10fps.
theres probably something wrong with your pc or mods used, because you only need to dedicate like 8gb of ram to run this mod. also minecraft shouldn't go past its dedicated ram unless you dedicated all of it. So theres definitely something wrong with the mods or pc, the only thing that should limit your fps is cpu not ram for this mod
@sufyann your settings or runtime arguments are jank probably. I'm on a 3060 TI w/ an I7-12700 and drop to an absolute lowest of 40 fps whilst having chunky render 1500 blocks out from spawn and then climbs back up to around 80-100 w/ Bliss Shaders (granted, I've got 64 gb of ram and allowed Minecraft to use up to 48gb)

Minecraft render distance and Distants Horizons render distance is not the same thing. You can keep Minecraft render distance at like 8 and Distants Horizon will still render farther away. You can also choose in the DH settings how many chunks it should load. So yes, it should load, i think 64 chunks when u first install it.

The older fan base still wouldn't bother to mod.
