Something about the insects welcoming his body back to where it came. The butterflies resting on him and fluttering over his body, was really something beautiful.
This whole documentary was just beautiful, gripping and amazing. I couldn’t stop watching and would have watched hours on hours more. Even days later I’m still thinking about it. Thank you to the whole team for gifting this to us.

There's a lesson in there. He lived in fear in an environment that doesn't allow fear, fear killed him. I get thats not what happened, but its poetic lol.
Just as sad was Jackson's death. The Alpha, the one who isn't supposed to show weakness holds the hand of his fellow tribe mate, accepting the care and not dying alone, but dying in the arms of someone who looked past the position and at the person he was
it’s not crazy. other mammals and animal’s understand what death is for a fellow member and reacts to it. humans are not the only species to feel and know what death is lol there’s nothing crazy about it

I would adore if we had a second season, no matter how long we need to wait. This was honestly so interesting because like may others, I did not realize just how similar chimps are to humans. I saw so many similarities it was both beautiful and scary at the same time.

And it's obvious to me that they felt grief and a sense of mourning for their fallen comrade. They at least showed a sense of "this sucks" when the group was investigating the crime scene.
I watched episode 1 tonight and i really hope they get the other group back. Pork pie shouldn’t have left the group 😭 i really hope for the rest of the season Gus finds a way to make friends and be apart of the group. This show is amazing and really easy to be invested into it

As sad as it is, they’re not allowed. It’s the golden rule when filming wildlife, don’t interfere/change events no matter how big or small the situation. I understand what you mean regarding the film crew with the chimps and that they may have caused stress or other factors to change but believe it or not, them being there filming did little to nothing to their lives. There’s been many documentaries over the years about the Ngogo chimps and so they are more than used to cameras by now, plus, the rangers would regularly check on them with or without the cameras and so they are used to people. I would certainly be interested to see if they do react to the cameras or not, but I’m sure they don’t mind. If they did, I’m sure they’ll have zero difficulty telling the crew to do one lol. Edit: If you watched the entire vid to the end, they say he was used to humans and walked very slowly.

Actually a pretty good question. Chimps are so strong it's hard to believe they can be killed by being pounded on even if by other chimps.
