The spawn is starting, but the water temp is still a little cold. Flats look good and there are plenty of carp feeding and getting ready to spawn. I always start over by South Fork on the East side of Lime Point and work my way around towards Hanging Flat. I was just out there on Monday, but it was so windy I gave up, but there were a lot of fish in the area. Kissack Bay was also looking pretty good.
@@RoadandReel good morning! I’m on Isabella right now hunting those carp! I’m currently on nort) west side of Lime point closser to Kissack, How do I get on the east side of Lime point? Can I drive right up? Looks like private properties along that side. Huge thanks!
@@RoadandReel thanks again for the great info. It made all the difference. After getting skunked in the AM, got 9 in the net afternoon. Was told by another angler, the spawn was in full effect in that cove last Thursday but has since stopped. Still a lot of carp but they are more dispersed and back to being spooky again. Cheers!
@@CALCANEUS3535 I'm glad it helped! I hear the lower Kern is really coming on, so I hope to hit that area pretty hard in the next couple of weeks. Always chasing the bite!
Nice Vid man, Do you have any specific spots you can recommend in the lower kern? Ive been all over the place with the river and struggle to find spots, I usually just end up going to lake ming.
You may be ok. This week is going to cool down quite a bit and that should slow the flows, but it warms back up on Thursday. The flows will be lowest right before the Fairview dam, but you can also try a little higher up from there. You can always try Brush Creek as well. If all else fails, McNally's is open and makes an excellent burger! Good luck!

@@CALCANEUS3535 you can get back on the road and continue East. I believe the road you are looking for is Patterson ln.
