Title aside, I enjoyed the classic version of this game looking forward to playing this version
Another Day 1 purchase for me got it coming in today!! Inin games has been killing it!!
Loved Wonder Boy Dragon Trap and Monster Boy cursed. This game, Asha, seems to get mixed reviews everywhere. Idk I still going to get to complete the Monster/Wonder set.

Ah good, now the encoding errors are fixed. This is a good review, but you should've mentioned right off the bat that you were coming to the game as someone who hadn't played the original first. This remake is remarkably faithful, just now runs in native 16:9 with 2.5D polygonal character models and arranged music replacing the 4:3 sprites on parallax layers and FM synthesis tunes. The overall takeaway of both original and remark is an overwhelming sense of charm. Wonder Boy IV was the final Wonder Boy game and an obvious inspiration for Shantae.

I hated this game, horrible, frustrating, didn't think it was charming. My advice, buy the Mega Drive original version - that game was decent.
Oh i agree, finished it, glad it was over and dealt with..
I hate the desert ice pallace so much what a shit game
