Some guy brought some smoked sturgeon into work one time and I wasn't impressed so I would throw them back too. Can you imagine how polluted a hundred pounds fish would be anyways?
@@masonringelstetter5514 they used to be different lengths each year and you could keep one in certain areas of the Wisconsin River. One year was 60.inches and I don't remember what the other year was. I have caught legal ones in the river before and just threw them back in. I have no idea what the regulations are anymore since I wouldn't keep one even if it was legal tasted too nasty too keep.
Every time I fish there I get crowded by Asians. Last time I was there I was waded out musky fishing and had 4 show up and go on each side of me like 4ft away when I was the only 1 there.
We had fun that day. Thanks for the hooks !. Hope to see you soon

I wish I was out there with you. Nice video really crazy night two poles two fish crazy
Nice! I love going there but only when there isn't too many people.
I'd like to see you do a video showing your basic setup and rig for cats
Nice fish man! Can you legally target Sturgeon for catch and release outside of September?
No. But they bite on a lot of things so everyone catches them as a by product.
@@ancientfishing good to know!
@WildLife_Perspective I think in Wisconsin, Lake Superior is the only year round sturgeon water.
@@ancientfishing how many year round rivers are there for most if not all species?
@WildLife_Perspective quite a few. There’s a list on the DNR site.

Too many people out there that why I'm glad I can fish at my parents land but not as big of fish there as at the dam.
