This is actually scary to watch. A bunch of adults laughing and making fun of teenagers for expressing themselves? Half of them looked exactly like every teen today! It sickens me that this was allowed and that parents put their own children up to this. This seriously reminded me of a horror film and it frightens me so much that people thought this was an okay way to act

Dude for real! Like a goddamn witch-hunt or lynching. The teens are like being drawn and quartered by these grown ass people. Also being blasted on television like that is so unhealthy.

I agree with you 1000000%. All these people are disgusting. I cant actually belive there are parents who dislike their child enough to publicly humiliate them like this. These parents shouldnt try to be getting their kids to dress the way they want. I f it was really revealing then maybe I would understand but even then these things should be discussed as a family not just putting you chil on some damn show to let strangers critisize and judge them. Honestly if I had parents like that I would be disgusted. All the people except the kids on this show disgust me.

To these days my parents and a lot of other parents in my country don't allow their children to look even like teens in 80's because "You will look like old people! Dress like teens in your age!" And I'm from Europe, catholic (I could even say pro-catholic) country. Parents of my friend ripped of her old vintage dress which she bought in second hand. I will probably dress like I want when I will move out :/ (sr for grammar)

How old are you lmao I was dressing like this in the early 90s thru highschool too and if you were alive and grown enough to understand and still remember the world then, you won't ever get it and shouldn't speak on it. The only thing you people should be saying is wow we've come so far. We did stuff like this when NO ONE had ever seen it before EVER first EVER this is nothing vs the trans or whatever you can think of today that would offend old people, the trans accepted today and even hated today wouldn't believe what it was like for the trans community in the 80s and before. The 90s opened the world up to alt culture and these people are seeing it for the first time. This is HISTORY SHOW SOME RESPECT SMH instead of hating these people, MOST OF THEM ARE PRO EVERYTHING TODAY BECAUSE OF THIS!!!!! THE BIKER DAD WAS BORN IN 1930!!!!!! It was a different time! True, and I don't condone that. However these mothers are just psychopaths. To be worried about your daughter joining a gang is normal. However publicly bullying her on a TV show is a load of horse shit. If you have a problem with your kid have a serious sit down with her and address it. Don't publically humiliate her in front of a live audience. All that will do is get her more upset, and continue with what she was doing in the first place.

My brother was lost to street violence in 98’ and just about a month before, my mom signed up for one of these types of shows, with (in her eyes) no other option (being a single mom of 3 boys and having already tried everything in the book). Gangs are absolutely serious, and insanely dangerous. My younger brother and I had to be extremely careful about how we acted and what we said growing up, because one wrong move and we’re dragged into a situation similar to the one our big brother was in. I was raised by an active addict so I go to a group meeting for adult kids of dysfunctional families... and one of the people who goes literally is there bc their parents went on a show like this and the topic was “having a kid (meaning the person I know) ruined our sex life” (yes really)... this person got so bullied about it... not only would no ones parents let their kid hang out w them, bc obviously all the other parents thought they were freaks... but even like legit any friend they made before their parents went on the show didn’t want to be associated w them anymore, bc who wants to be friends with the person who’s known as being from the freak family... or friends w the kid who’s parents “don’t have sex anymore” bc of their existence? So this kid legit never had a friend bc of their parents decision to go on one half hour long show when they were like 9. I met her when she was around 23-25 and she was having SERIOUS struggles still bc obviously if you never trusted anyone or had a friend til 18 you wouldn’t just move out of your parents house and suddenly be normal. Life is so hard for her because of one selfish decision to go on a tv show like this.
Anyway I thought it was interesting to see how something like this really destroyed someone and they weren’t even on the show...

      @speeeee35 5 років тому +26

Custer Custer The girl in the g@ng was bullied least. Are you joking? One of the kids- a literal 15 year old kid- was called “white tr@sh” (UA-cam is being super weird about replies that have “trigger words” cause it thinks I’m being mean to you) by an adult man bc she had shaved hair and black clothes.... if you’re triggered by the word “bu//ying” like I am, then let’s just call it cruel...
Character building: You deserve better than a life where you’re giving people an excuse to make fun of you just because you think they will anyway. You’re better than that. And anyone who makes fun of you is just as insecure as you, don’t let them use you to make themselves feel better. You deserve to feel good too.
Cruel: Change your clothes. You look like white tr@sh.
This girl probably got called that for the next four years Of Hs.... bc of a grown man.

+Eleanor Partridge this is a change in generations. I was around that age then, this is just how it was. This is why people my age get so annoyed at the 'anti bullying' stuff we see today. We learned to cope so can this generation. It is part of growing up, and becoming comfortable with who you are. Bullying is wrong but If you can't find a way to deal with it, you will likely conform into behaving and looking like everyone else even though you don't feel like everyone else. Thats why we delt with it and as a result we learned to mature, and grow, and genuinely not care what was thought of us. all these kids have jobs, are responding maturely and are living responsibly.
this is why it was allowed on tv,, this is why the outrage of being judged or shamed for any reason needs to stop.
Shaming is wrong, but Not growing up and just being yourself and learning to cope with mean people is worse.

This was a THING in the 90s, all people volunteered, and the teens loved to show off their fashions even if they didn't smile and pretended to hate it. Crazy fashion (much crazier than this) was a thing in the 90s and many parents didn't like it. Not a big shock. My sister used to be a freak. When the minimum wage was $4.25 she'd regularly spend a couple hundred dollars on day trips to NYC to buy custom-made Marilyn Manson-esque goth clothing. Obviously my parents weren't thrilled. Instead of saving $ for life after HS, she was blowing it all on clothes.

Of course they are upset. The younger girls are rebellious and want to do what they want, and not respect their parents. When you turn 18, do what you want. Until then you have to obey the rules of the house. Plus, I wouldn't condone any young girl under 18 to dress like a sex worker. It brings the wrong kind of attention.

These adults are bullying these kids because they couldn’t be themselves at a young age .

Sunnie broke my heart, she was so happy and confident and when she came out, she seemed so sad and lost.

The fact these ADULT women and men are talking about young girls sexually (and lets not forget those revealing shots of the “provocative girls”) is absolutely disgusting. This show is so gross and I hope these beautiful women found some solace. I’m so glad they were able to stand up for themselves, but god this was awful.

It made me tear up when I saw that they dyed their hair and cut it..they put so much effort into it just for people to strip it all away, Sunnie looked so angry and disappointed afterwards, I felt so bad. This is bullying.

I genuinely think they all looked great.
