Make SURE MAKE SURE MAKE SUREEE whether your Subaru uses blue or green coolant. VERY IMP.!!! Blue coolant has extra additives that help protect aluminum radiator and engine with higher aluminum content better!!! I’ve heard Subaru’s are real finicky with which coolant you use, so if you can try to stick w/ OEM coolant
Thanks man! I usually use some soap and water at first to get all the grease and dust off. Then I use Ultimate Black Trim restorer to get all the hoses looking black. I also use it on all the plastic.
Oh man the inside is hard to get. Mine only had it on the outside and I was able to sand it down starting with like 600-800 grit and went all the way up to 3000 grit. After that use a headlight polish to buff if and get the haze out. I would also recommend ceramic coating it. If it's on the inside you'll have to take the lens off by heating it up in the oven. Once you get it off clean the inside and get some more sealant to seal it back up. Or you can buy replacement lenses on ebay. I believe they carry them for the 04-05 subies now. Just a couple options. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for the support man. Always love hearing feedback.
Is this mod really worth it though? It seems almost every forum comment about this mod either says its pointless, or worst case even that it CAN cause harm to the engine because subaru knew cyl 4 was the weak link, thats why they put the knock sensor right next to cyl 4. So, by lowering the temp at that cylinder, and thus reducing the chances of it knocking first before all the other cylinders, your tuner and/or the ECU algorithm will now automatically be feeding too much timing into the engine thinking knock isn't happening since the weak link cylinder 4 isn't seeing it, as it could now be that the passenger side head is knocking first and there is no knock sensor over there...
I have talked with Dom and had him tune my STI multiple times. I would say yes the mod is definitely worth it. I probably would not install it if it made no difference or help out in anyway, but it does so I would install this if you have it.
Great job on this video, well produced, clear instruction, and a beautiful alpine white Subie!
Great video man, I watched ur IAG V3 AOS, and very informative. You are putting out better videos than most on here. Keep it up, Thanks man.
Thank you! Always try to be as informative as possible in videos. Thanks for the support!
Great video man! This helped alot for my 03 Bugeye, I agree that taking the intercooler off is the best and easiest option. Keep it up!

Your hoses to the heater are not connected backwards? The lower direction is to be the heater and the upper one is to the water pump
Great vid! How do you keep your headlight so clean and mint? Mine is oxidized from the inside. Any tips?

What front lip are you running?
I have a 2002 bugeye with 21,000 miles. Engine never been touched. Would it still be advisable to install this?
Yes I would still advise to install it. It would never hurt it and in fact it would prolong your bugeye. Hope this helps!
@@fastlifestyle7249 thanks for the advise bro!

I would assume I could get away w/ using brake cleaner instead of acetone. Right?
correct
thanks appreciate it
All the coolant that goes in there. Where does it end up? Does it flow some place?
It goes from the heater core into cylinder 4. So you're basically adding another coolant line to cylinder 4 so it stays cooler.
