    I just got a 2012 gsxr with the blue frame and I compleately agree. I moved up from a cbr 500 and I was surprised at how easy it was to ride. But I think that’s the danger aspect of it, how easy it is to flick around and get up to 100 in 2nd gear makes you feel invincible. It’s not a dangerous bike but it’s easy to get in a dangerous situation. But buying this bike completely satisfies me. I don’t plan on buying a 1000, anytime soon atleast.

      You'll definitely get that itch to at least try a liter bike for an extended period of time. I know I do, But I also know I am not ready. Just picked up a used 2009 gsxr 600 myself. The seating position is very different from what I'm used to on my ex street triple 765.

    I've ridden bigger bikes than 600cc but I've had my k5 600 for nearly two years and I love it, it's exactly what I'm after for a sports bike, light manoeuvrable responsive and capable of over 150 mph recorded

      I rode my 15 r1 better in corners then I ride my gsxr 600 preference. I think people under estimate how important it is for you the rider to be stoked about what you’re riding. From there it don’t matter

  • @ih8momjokes1

    In fact, if it released a newer and more euro5 emission compliant GSXR, it would be far worse in power, more rider aids (usually we need those for bump in power???), higher price tag, but nicer looking. I think Suzuki is doing us a huge favour.

    I tried the rc390 as a first rider and it’s 365 pounds for me the weight on a 600 and the rc390 was no difference honestly it was a 50 pound difference. And not only that I was more comfortable on the Suzuki then the positioning on the rc390 . The Suzuki Gsxr 750 or 600 I was way more comfortable and felt way more safe just on the handling. But I’m also a 220 pound man so I went with the Gsxr 750 and been doing fine with the drills you teach bro to be honest and took mfs course and passed before I getting on any bike at all . But I would love to do some courses with you bro I’m in so cal

    I think the best beginner bike is a supermoto. The DR450 is probably the best first bike possible, or an XR175 or whatever model Honda or Kawasaki is making these days. Being able to ride off-road and on road, riding it like a dirt bike, then like a naked, that’s the way to go. Learning to ride aggressively on dirt is much easier and will instantly transfer to street riding. Falling on a dirt bike is nothing compared to dropping a street bike. Learning wheelies on dirt is much easier and safer. I started with dirt bikes. Had a RM80, 100, 125 and a CR250 before I ever got my first street bike. And while there are a few things to learn going to a street from a dirt bike, like turning and front brake usage, once you’re good on dirt bikes, you’ll already be a good, fast and aggressive street bike rider.

    • @mikv8
      @mikv8 10 місяців тому +1

      All GSX-R 600 and 750 are pretty good starting from 2006. 2006 to 2008 is one gen, 2008 to 2010 is newer but almost the same, and 2011+ is the same as 2023 model. I'd get the 2011 and newer. It has better brembo brakes, about 20 lbs lighter and a whole bunch of parts and aftermarket stuff since the bike hasn't changed in 12 years. There are some problems with the voltage regulator, more on earlier models but the latest are still vulnerable, also gear indicator and dash can get some water inside after car wash, but otherwise these bikes are bullet proof and solid. From all the sportbikes (CBR, ZX, R, GSX-R) I like Suzuki the most for it's simplicity and comfort.

    Hello,
    I might be able to buy either a cbr 600 or gsxr 600.
    This will be my first bike...
    I'm kind of confused between the two. I'm not looking for top speed, as I have mentioned I'm an amateur and both of them are way too fast for a guy like me, I'm leaning more towards durability and maintence...
    Any suggestions ? I would like to hear your opinion.

      Defeats the purpose of riding when we add abs, traction control, road settings and everything else that takes away from interaction with the bike. I'm of an age where bikes never had any of that BS we expect from cars.
      Bikes should be an engine breaks and gears obviously the body parts. What happens when computers go down and we need them to fix vehicles of all types.
      Russian cars such as the lada had it spot on.
      Only what's needed for the car to work. We need that in vehicles now. None of this self driving cars and computerised bikes
