My 19 year old brother lay dying of cancer in a hospital bed in 1964 and Jack Kemp came to visit him along with a local sports writer and gave my brother a team autographed football. Memories my family still has today.
The game was not televised in Buffalo..In fact not one home game in all the AFL years was ever shown locally..So in 1964 my favorite game was the game in Boston

Attended all 7 games at the old rockpile. So many memories of 1964, the Bills and The AFL.
The year I first started watching the Bills as a 6 yo - I wanted to be like Butch Byrd #42 - The hardest hitting DB to ever play the game 🐂
Butch's first pick 6!
Great close up pictures of the Bills of that era. Future broadcaster and then clean shaven Paul McGuire is featured as their punter .

The Bills made Buffalo area residents proud to be from WNY.... we had the snow, and " Da Bills"
Elbert "Golden Wheels" Dubenion. What great memories of a great team!!
One of the most underrated teams of all time.
Tiny foot note in the annals of history.
