At this time, Bills owner Ralph Wilson was threatening to move the team to Seattle if a new stadium wasn't built to replace aging War Memorial Stadium. Ultimately Erie County/NY State helped finance the stadium in Orchard Park (Rich Stadium named after food company Rich Foods) which opened in 1973.
The 1972 trade of Haven Moses to Denver was a vital one for Denver. He brought immediate big play legitimacy to that offense. Without Moses, Denver doesn't go to Super Bowl XII. Just that simple.
You have a lot of old AFL Bills videos here. Thank you!! I love seeing film from the old AFL games, especially those played in the Rockpile. I have been looking for video of the 1964, 65 & 66 AFL Championship games. I cannot find them. Any ideas?
The 66 Championship played in 67 was lost forever as it was taped over. Yep true story but you can get about 2 minutes of the game on UA-cam - you just cant see it. It was a pre game interview with Kemp an then the Bills lone TD called by Curt Gowdy.
3-10-1 in 1970 and then they win one game in 1971. The Buffalo Bills have to be the least successful franchise in NFL history. Absolutely pathetic. Even today...no playoff's in 16 years? Really?
Old time Fooseball played at the old time War Memorial!
4:35 Don't mess with Joe Kapp.
2:22 I see OJ...and a Baba Booey to you all!
Butch Byrd was one of the hardest hitting DB that ever played the game that clothesline hit which was legal back then I still remember that hit

#42, George Butch Bryd, my Cousin!
8:04 Al Cowlings
Poor Dennis Shaw would get a concussion every week.
Remember Al Cowlings. O.J.'s Boy.
I'm watching these waiting for all the OJ comments, there's some I haven't heard before
OJ and AC, what a combo...
wiedep The days before OJ was killing people and running from the cops and before AC was OJ's limo driver.
Should have been "Broncos"
I'm AC dammit.
OJ remembers to pick up the bloody glove before he takes off for the end zone: 2:52
LOL
Did he have a white van then?
@@marcschneider4845 Is the Bronco considered a van? Probably not. Should have put him in a Police Van.
Buffalo stayed classy with the San Diego State passing combo of Dennis Shaw to Haven Moses.
At 3:17, OJ and AC. Hilarious!
That's where OJ handed over the keys to the Bronco, Damnit.

Losing Ahmad Rashad in 1975 and trading Bob Chandler in 1980 helped out all the other teams except Buffalo
The 1970 season was still Limburger cheese: 3-10-1 They started out so-so at 3-4, but then it was business as usual: 0-6-1
Injuries.......and a horrible coach..........and a cheap owner
you got that right it was the coach cause Lou Saban took that same team pretty much and made them better
Kinda like 2018.
Except for Shaw the year was one long "stink & drink"!
Amazingly 71 was worse in a one win season!

Since this one was 1970 this one isn't AFL.

Snow fences what a look
Remember the New York loses that year against Buffalo....
do you have part 2?
Why was the film cut off like that?
look at all those would be NFL Penalties that the Bills D caused in TODAY'S Era
Nfl films try to make terrible teams look good
Rockpile field not muddy?
what's the name of the song beginning at 1:27 mark?
Pop March
All they had to do was score a touchdown.
The Juice
Boston Patriots looked pretty bad.

There were those 4 consecutive AFC Championships, 1990-1993.
Yup.........4 good years out of ??????
No. The Jets are the most pathetic.
