I lost it when it got to the walking on the grass part. I couldn't walk on grass for years after I got out. In fact, I even held that standard to my kids. They were always baffled when I told them to stay off the grass when we were Trick or Treating. I finally released my phobia when I bought my first house.
Out for 11 now but I still remember ETS +1: a Tuesday. Woke up at 0430 because brain said so. Went back to sleep anyway until 0700. Got up, walked down to the corner in civvy sweats to get a paper. Came home, made coffee, toast, steak & eggs, and took 2 full hours to eat breakfast while reading the paper. Felt like I was doing something wrong the whole time.

I still wake up at 0600 every morning, never put my hands in my pocket, hell I even walk with my hands in fist like im marching. My personal favorite part about getting out os being accused of stolen valor by boots who will never deploy, yet rock operators hats while on leave. I'm in the double dogits in only 5 years.
