I have both, but my CD-60 is all mahogany, with a solid mahogany top. BBT has the solid spruce top. Both nice, but Taylor wins

I have a big baby which I bought last year In 2022. She’s perfect. Least expensive Taylor on the market and it really performs if YOU know how to preform. I use my fingers to pick so for me it sounds way crisper and louder than if I were to use a pick. Also I don’t feel like I got completely screwed over by the price and I’m still able to play all the NOTES a 5,000$ Taylor would 😂

so... this is a harsh comparison. there is a much more comparable fender - the solid spruce top version - and I would've compared those. Of course a laminate top isn't gonna have the warmth of a solid top. that being said, the fender didn't sound horrible, just not as warm and vibrant.
