I'm a teacher and I know all this stuff but you present it very well and don't get bogged down with fingering and inversions etc. I enjoyed your teaching method. All accurate information. I'll send my students to look at your vlogs!
It takes a good teacher to teach but it also takes a good student to learn and if that information is lost in that translation then it is not taught. You do a good job of teaching. Thank you!
You explain it so well, I know its only basic stuff but as a beginner you really feel that you have achieved some thing and it makes you feel you want to do a lot more. Thank you very much for your tutorial.
Wow. Played violin and cello 20 years ago. And had 3 piano lessons. You made this so easy to understand. I'm inspired to get a keyboard. How fun .thank you so much for inspiring me.
I just bought a keyboard a week ago. I play a little on the guitar already. Was really a bit overwhelmed by where to start. This was perfect for me. Thanks so much. Subscribed!
Loved it. Keep it up I'm 15 years old and been playing for about 2 years can't read piano music so that's what's holding me back. Glad I come across this video learned so much in one video keep it up and thank you God Almighty Bless you all
Holy hell. I am beyond excited to have found this video, it has started to answer months worth of questions for me. I'm a guitar player who started learning to play piano like it's a guitar, strictly memorizing the finger positions for different chords; but I didn't know what to do with those chords beyond mindlessly mashing all the keys for that chord at once every 4 beats. Thank you so much for this.
I did guitar for years by ears got all wrong because never learned counting. Tks this is life changing in my love for music. Btw now I just bought a cheap key board and start following your videos. Cool!
Bottom middle top middle…. That’s seriously going to help me every time I have to play something like that. It’s so simple but I just never looked at it that way! Thanks !!!!!you’re the best😀😀😀
First, I like to say thank you so much for your clear and very details explanations of music theory!! You really helps beginner piano like myself to understand rhythm and what they suppose to sounds like when I play them, you make it easy to understand and to learns them. You really have a teaching talent not everyone who play the piano can teach other or can explained as clear as you!!. Please continues sharing your music knowledges with us by breaking them down in small steps and details like what you are doing in all your videos. Because students tend to give up learning piano when music theory becomes to hard to understand...they struggles, hate learning, and eventually give up. I done my fair share of giving up piano and music theory when I have no clue what they means and no one around to helps me understand them. I'm so glad to have found your channel...THANK YOU!!!🙏🤗😊 Lan
Wow. This is the best explanation of rhythm patterns I've seen. I've been trying to put salt and pepper on my piano playing, and you threw in a curry mixture. I subbed. Merci beaucoup.

I’m an adult started playing music late. Though I can read normal music, I have difficulty counting whilst playing. How can I learn to count since I mostly rely on my foot (down up)?
You can use a metronome. If you don't have a real one, there are apps available for download then it will count for you. I have been playing piano for more than 10 years now, on and off, and i still use the metronome for practice.
Quite helpful! Thanks for your video, man. I do know the positions of the notes and more but I'm not a trained piano player so I find it very difficult to seeing the piano in front of me. But now that I've seen this video, I think I can play at least a sentence of any song.
One point, if I may: it's the bass that determines which inversion of the chord you're playing, not the right-hand shape. So, even if your RH is making E-G-C, that's not a first-inversion chord if you're playing C in the bass. But regardless of how you configure the C major chord in the RH, if the left-hand is playing an E then it would be a first-inversion chord. I know what you mean, but perhaps it might be more helpful to think of right-hand positions rather than inversions? Anyway, I enjoyed your video and thank you for it.
In your video at the 3:32 mark, what was it that you were playing? You said that it was more complicated but you did not explain what it was that you were playing as far as the key and/or interval - pattern . Also, what makes it more complicated? if you could, please explain this part to me as I am just a piano newby and that is the type of sound that I am looking to create and the sole reason why I'm even looking to learn piano.
03:36 HOw would you call the first chord . an A major 7 th ( Root doubled by left hand ) , right hands plays 7th , 3th and 5th ..is there an esy way to notate Right hand obviously an inversion , but since the root is still at base position ..;how would you call it Or would you rather say two separate chords : right hand plays a Dflat minor ( 2nd inversion ) and left hand just an A double octave. When I try to recognize chords , I always forget to take the left hand into the equation . Then the second chord is F maj 7 ( left had root )
I was looking at the keys and , if you press the same keys for Am and C(inverted), then does it automatically follow that it is true for all notes. I have a feeling it is... Bm 's keys are the same as D's (2nd inversion)... thank you for your time, I understand now, yay
This is excellent. I don’t play Piano but I have to program Piano Parts in my music. This will help me program Piano Rhythm parts in a Midi Editor. Therefore this video is useful for Piano Players and Music Programmers. I wonder if there is more rhythm Piano tutorials like this?
