FOLKS, DONT GET CONFUSED. The days is tricky. It doesn’t mean you want to water every SEVEN DAYS, it means, EVERY SEVENTH DAY.
If you want it to go on every day for the entire year, you have to set it on 1 (ONE)
If you set it on the 3, it means your plants WILL NOT BE WATERED FOR TWO DAYS.
Thanks
Love a company that puts up videos for their products.
Thank you!
good job this video really helped while trying to get it working it is easier to do it in steps
Thank you for this video, so much easier than reading a manual!
Thanks. Very understandable.
Very thorough thnx
This worked horribly because the flow of water is restricted on the hole in the timer which is about half the size of the hose opening, I checked the hose and used the sprinklers (2 of them) without the timer and it worked as before I purchased the timer. Perhaps the "normal" flow is too strong for your timer to open and shut??? The pressure with this timer is just not adequate to use the sprinklers and get the length of the stream (which is about 50% with the timer) needed to have my sprinklers work normally. If there is another model is Home Depot or Lowes that has a normal opening. Please let me know.
Very helpful. Thank you 😊
I can here to make this easier lol
How exactly does the valve work inside of these? I know there is an electromagnet, but I fail to understand how that magnet controls anything mechanical.
I do not use this timer for sprinklers, I use it to fill my Koi pond after forgetting the water was on a few times. Works ok for that but if I put a nozzle on the end of the hose, the water stops flowing. What causes that. Seems like there isn't allowance for some restriction then let water out?
Thanks,
1:25 hold up. You never explained how to set up different watering times on the same day. I want mine set for 430am, 12pm, then 6pm. I have no idea how to do this!
I figured it out. I wanted to space it every 8 hours but you go from 6 hours straight to 12!!!! How difficult would it have been to just add some extra hours in the software, who makes these decisions?!
This video does not show how to program it for two separate times. I want/need at 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM
Is it possible to program it to set off twice a day (once in the morning & and once during sunset) ?
Yes. To do this you would go through all the steps up to 1:13 in the video. Then, under the HOW OFTEN selection, you would set this to every 12 hours. Please note you cannot set it to have a rolling second start time that would automatically change as the time of sunset changes throughout the year. It would be a fixed time exactly 12 hours after the morning start time.
I bought this model from home depot yesterday. It would not stop the water. In the off position, outside the watering time thing would never shut off.
I exchanged it for another and the next one has the same problem, except that if you press the manual button it just the water flow about half.
hello, we're sorry about this. This certainly isn't normal operation.
Please send us your contact info via one of the social media channels in the video descriptions and our support team will get in touch.
I actually have same issue, water keep going
Would this work for a coop or watering trough?
Yes, but if the trough is not pressurized results might not be that great.
Is there a way to make it water every 6 hr starting at 6 am and stopping at 6pm so it will water at 6am 12pm and 6pm but skip 12am?
Hello, this timer would not allow that. You would need one of our timers that has multiple programs. On this the best you could do is every 6 hours, but that would result in 4 times per day.
Can this work with a pvc pipe splitting to 3 spinkler heads?
This is threaded for hose fittings, but with the proper hose to pvc transition adapter, yes it will work with PVC. However, how many heads it can water at once depends on the water pressure at the faucet.
My timer won't shut off, bought it last year and never used it until now. Even in the off position, I had to shut off the water to ensure my plants weren't continuing to get drip. Bought this at home depot. What should I do? Exchange? Seems like comments below show there is an issue with replacements.
You can call the company to explain the problem, they will send you a new one. They are very good about that, good luck
It appears that there are days of the week on the bottom of the display, but is there a way to set up what day of the week it is? I would think it would be when you first set the clock, but nope. Anyone know how to set the proper day of the week? Thanks
Hello, this timer does not have a days of the week option. It does have intervals, but not days of the week. A timer we do have which shows days of the week is the 56544, which is a 2-port version: ua-cam.com/video/0j4JzQo_D2c/v-deo.html
I cannot change or advance the HOW OFTEN on my timer. Seems it just displays 1. How can I trouble shoot?
I’ve had a problem with my timer. I set it to water every 12 hours and my start time is at 6:00 am every day. But for some reason it waters every 6 hours. Why is this?
so if you set it for every 2 hours its going to waste water at least 5 times a night???
Why my low battery keep flashing with new batteries
Can't I just set this think to water for 10 hours daily? Turn on at 6AM and off and say 4PM?
4:30am, 8 hours later 12:30pm, 8 hours later 8:30pm... Was that really to much to ask for?!
Is this water proof? Just installed it but it's getting wet by a sprinkler
Technically this is water resistant. It should be fine in rain and being hit by a sprinkler but cannot be submerged in water.
Orbit Irrigation thanks! Appreciate your response
BULLSHIT !! Installed 2 front and back.. yards.. all worked EXCEPT the 12 hour intervals.. BOTH started at desired AM time,,neither came on 12 hours later...
