This was a refreshing video for the channel. Having Douwe explain his lines then Jonny filming was so insightful. So good to see Jonny supporting the upcoming talent and exposing his icon skate park.

What a legend, I always try to make lines that hit every obstacle that I'm capable of but to do that level of tricks AND hit so many features is just insane

Epic stuff Jonny. Lines are what it's all about. At the start of street skating in the 80's it was all about individual tricks in the street and I encouraged my subjects to put them together in lines- I had already perfected the P.O.V. follow/in front of/beside angles and once the skaters linked up the tricks back to back history was made. Thanks for keeping it alive 📚

As a beginner I can see that you really need to commit in skating. 20 years ago I was scared...of falling propably.
Now I am able to understand and feel that once you do not commit you will pay the price.

BTW, godverdomme is definitely a curse word, it's comparable to goddamnit. It's definitely not the worst Dutch curse word there is, but I guess you had a good sense of what was going on 😉
15:53 he said "godverdomme" which is very similar in use to the English goddammit,
technically it's "god verdom me" (god damn me), but slurred into one word,
just like god damn it -> goddammit in English.
we just use "me" rather than "it" for the slurred one-word version, otherwise it's practically the same in its use as an expression for unpleasant surprise or something going to shit :D

ich habe mich gerade erinnert, wie ich eine traumline first try and perfect gestanden habe, war ein ziemlicher Platz irgwo oberhalb Zürich, started mit fs shovid bs nosgrind, turn body, to fakie bs heel (I hate that one, but that was a perfect one) than ns bs heel , like going around, sw boardslide an einer baustellen plastik wand.. und einen riesen noolie bs tail, weil dort gab es noch eine hohe mauer, kam ich zuerst nicht drauf. dann wieder zum curb mit bs tail abgeschlossen. ich wünschte jemand hätte gefilmt ,, 3minuten - 6 tricks perfect in a line first t. was special.
Jonny is fun, "I don't want to attempt the same trick over and over until i got it on lock. NO, I rather do 1000 attempts of a new invented trick for doing that a perfect one!"
Bruce Lee has a good statement: "He would rather fear a man who has three fight tricks perfect dialed , instead of one got 1000 tricks, learned once in the past." I guess yu folks dig!?
