You had me at trusty. My Mariposa 40 has always been a bit small for me so I just ordered this puppy for the volume and the stretchy back panel. and the whole blue/gray thing. Thanks for the review!
So what led you away from the Mariposa 60? I see you using other packs in recent videos. What are some of your main criticisms of this pack after extended use?
How tall is the big pocket on the one side? It's really annoying they don't list this info on their site.. if anyone has the pack and can tell me in inches how tall that pocket is on the one side, I appreciate it very much;)
Thanks, amazing review. Quick question, so if the the sit pad gets all sweaty, what about the stuff inside? If I am not using dry bags to sort my stuff out inside the pack, do you think it would get sweaty as well?
We used to take the REI Flexlite, have since switched to the Helinox Chair Zero. Andy used to use the Ohm (he had no complaints), but switched to a GG gorilla.
Now that I know that you have tested both, how do you think the Mariposa compares to the LiteAF pack? I have my own LiteAF pack that I love, but now I will do some winter camping and sometimes through more technical terrain, so I am thinking about getting the mariposa for this purpose, but maybe it will not be that great approvement in load capacity? Is there more space in the mariposa? could you see it being used as a winter pack?
I have similar dimensions as you. I’m 6’4” with a 33” waist and 35” at the hip line and after watching your review am thinking about the small hip belt. Do you now think in your case that the small hip belt would have fit better?
the sweaty back may not be an issue, for you....but basically, it is a deal killer, for me.....figure it out, osprey and even zpaks has dealt with this.....to remain competitive, it is a necessary concern, for this pack....
Solid review! Been torn between GG or Hyperlite Gear but after seeing this might have to get the Mariposa👍🏽

ooh... ran into your older video... today's sound quality has greatly improved

I have no trouble with sweaty back with this pack. Guess that's a personal thing. Just used mine for the first time, six days, 70 miles, great pack.
Thanks! Great review. I'm about to buy a Mariposa.

would be very interested in your long term thoughts on this pack
What chair do you take with you? Nice review,.. deciding between the GG and two of the ULA packs. Thanks

flashman V can’t go wrong with ULA ohm when you are looking at 2 lb packs.

Are you still using it? If not, what made you move away from it?
Thx

Great review!
does the sit pad get saturated on both sides from sweat, so that 1. you can't sit on it and 2. it gets stuff inside of the pack wet?
I remember that loud anoying cat haha!
He is still very loud. Not as loud as those birds though!
The inside volume is 37L and the outside pockets add up to 23L. Nice vid. I wish this bag was waterproof otherwise its great.
Yep that's one of the things that drew us more towards the Zpacks packs.
Ordered one and got it by regular mail in 2 days! Can't wait to get out with it. Just wish it was made in Cuban Fiber!
Swap out that back pad for the mesh one from G.G.!
Could you supply a link? I cannot find the mesh. Thank you!
Does anyone have a comparison between the Mariposa 60 vs the Granite Gear Blaze 60?
