Curious, so in order to make a super decent nice UA-cam setup as a content creator one needs to invest about $1600 give or take without the camera and lense? It would be nice to include a list of a total package needed and cost for viewers and those what are interested in making/creating their own channel :)
i don't understand it, you making a 43 minute long video, and not mentioning a single time that ALL!! of your videos! are being color corrected! wtf ! why and how dare you not saying it? people are watching you and they definitely need to know that! yet you keep this a secret ? unsubscribing and dislike from 3 accounts
Wow! I can't believe I spent over 40 minutes watching this video. My brother, you have put real value in here. I'm super pomped seeing the ton of value in this one video. More grace. Blessings!
Wow! To all new UA-camrs, a reminder that you are doing your best. Don't give up now. A little more push could bring the break you so desperately need.
Dude straight up, I never comment. But Nolan’s set up is heaven for me. I am not into tech at all. But the quickness he is able to go from I want to make a video To record is the most valuable thing to me. Need that frictionless in the moment flow.
I am just getting an idea when watching this if there are anybody out there who acts like a youtube studio consultant the same as interior decorators work but for youtube, You just tell him/her your budget and they set up a youtube studio for you according to your budget.
Turning on my lights when this video was running in the background was, for sure, the best way to get my attention, haha! Honestly - this is the exact kind of video I was looking for. Glad it queued up!
I honestly want to say thank you so much. I have watched over 20 to 40 videos looking for someone to actually shows us. They're set up and what they use to record VS doing a unboxing or review of a camera while shooting or recording from another Nolan set up Would be perfect for my UA-cam channel. I have found everything I needed and very appreciative ❤
These are great for talking to the camera, very thorough. But what about artists? Best set up and/or simple phone recording set up to shoot straight down and light my time-lapse painting/drawing and adjust for set up to shoot while at an easel too? I have rigged a ring light that holds my phone, but it's difficult to adjust for different sizes of artwork and different ways we work.
20:20 hilariois I love it 🤣 I use a tension set up that is meant for a backdrop to create a DIY curtain barrier for my space it’s nice cuz you can have a curve and get squared angles covered
Really cool filming station. I have a wonky bedroom with only 1 blank wall. the rest is a full wall of closet and the other two have windows. I want to use that bedroom as my studio, but not sure how to maximize the minimal wall space I have and still get a background in my shots. I noticed you have a window in the room that lets some light in. It made me think I might be able to do the same think. Cool ideas here.
Storage and transfer of your footage: After recording, you want to start editing on your workstation. How do you streamline this? Not always can you connect your camera to the Mac/PC straight, so what do you use, just an SD card and plug it in the computer later on? In my experience working with Google Drive can be slow and will be a bottleneck in the workflow, just wondering what you guys have a best practice around this.
Definitely taking some tips out of this video as my setup is trash atm lol. I was playing with adding a couple background retro lights and that definitely helps a lot!
hi, guys. can i ask for advise here. a tutorial video will be highly appreciated. i love how nolan's video look like. so clean, sharp, and vibrant. can you help me get the same look with what i have for indoor talking head and at night time: zv-e10 (first version), a cheap 150 watt light (in a cheap soft box - no grid) that is only dimmable, no kelvin (only options are warm light and white light, and again dimmable), and viltrox AF 23mm f/1.4 lens. i have a small ulanzi led light with a knob at the back for kelvin and brightness i use as a rim light since it's not really bright enough but i'm not getting the intended rim lighting. thank you so much.
Just learning here, i am shooting more how to style videos (crafts) . I need to be farther from camera so you can see what I am doing. In addition i am moving and making something. Would love to see a video on with tips on this style rather than sitting or podcasts. Struggling with lighting and sound due to distance and movement .
Great video with practical tips, thank you. Question: How to apply your set up to live-streaming musicians like myself? My audio comes from mixer to Irig stream pro audio interface to phone or computer. The audiointerface needs to be close to the computer or iphone. I want to upgrade to a pro camera like your Sony, but I don't want latency. Also the using the iphone as a camera is another option. Any help would be appreciated.
I absolutely love the ideas in this video! P.S. there was another “UA-cam setup” video that you did. And there was a “fake window” that was made by a light and a slide (projected against a black wall pane)…and I can’t seem to find that video (to get the link for the light and slides)….if you have an idea of what I’m referring to please let me know.
I think this is a great idea, but another video where you show how to set up a studio on a budget for people new to UA-cam would be good. Some of the kit these guys now use will be out of the price range for a lot of those just starting out.
Hi!!! Love your videos and I have a question regarding recording. I want to know when you record, you save it on your computer or on your camera. Thanks again for all your great content.
great question! if you plug in your camera using a hdmi capture card you can totally use Quicktime or Streamyard to capture your video from your camera. For the BEST quality, recording video on an SD card will be the way.
This is unreal expensive for starting UA-camrs or even for almost all medium channels that have like 100k subs. Very interesting, but the main question is: do you really need all that expensive brand new gear to shoot nice videos?
Great video, I love this channel. I have a question for you. I know that you recommended ZVE10. A friend gave me his A6400 with only 150 shots on it, it's like new. Is that something I could use instead of the ZVE10?
Thank you very much for this I'm actually looking for a good setup and I always have you as my go-to so thank you so much because you don't talk too much you deliver very well and have adult ADHD so your delivery is perfect not too fast not too slow not too long just right I just wanted to give you some credit and thank you so much for this information
This is a great set up review. The j you so much. You guys are the best at this. I love these tips. I want that set up. Thank you for providing the links and for the time you have taken doing this
Thanks for the great content! I'm sure someone has got to have noted, but just in case, 37:41 is a misedit. I am really grateful for your awesome videos and great information. THANKS SO MUCH!
For videos like this, if I had a dynamic mix like a rode podcaster I need the mic in the shot. Can you talk about how you would do a dynamic mic set up like this? You and Nolan both use shotgun mics out of frame
Which setup did you like best or get the most inspiration from? Let me know in the comments!

Please Reply, DO YOU USE A MIXER FOR YOU AUDIO?
Thanks for sharing guys great content as usual. Any chance you could share the link for the big calendar in Omars segment please? Thanks in advance 🤘🏾
Light set ups. But the set ups are cost.

I am a layman in podcasting. I am still setting up. This episode was very helpful. I will always quote you "Complexity is the enemy of executiom"
I am just getting an idea when watching this if there are anybody out there who acts like a youtube studio consultant the same as interior decorators work but for youtube, You just tell him/her your budget and they set up a youtube studio for you according to your budget.
I know someone you helps setup podcast studios. He charges $11K.
Sounds like a good venture.
that was actually a part of my work in a video hardware store
Thanks!
THANK YOU!
I love this, especially when producers reveal their gear and secrets. Nice studio designs. Thank you for sharing!
Turning on my lights when this video was running in the background was, for sure, the best way to get my attention, haha! Honestly - this is the exact kind of video I was looking for. Glad it queued up!
Awesome tips! I'm currently in the process of creating a new UA-cam studio and I really like the vibe of Nolan's studio 🤩
His is super fresh!
I'm looking to use an extra room and getting ideas before I commit

Having the right setup would definitely boost your motivation and confidence on creating!
Shout out to the Think team for this massive value drop. I got so many ideas from it. Awesome!
Been trying to figure out how to best light my home office. This video was INCREDIBLY helpful. Thank you!

Woosh, yes! The Tamron 35-150mm is amazing and so versatile. I'm shooting portraits, events, concerts, video, it's worth every penny!
👊🏼
This dude at 18:55 is wearing a expensive AP Royal oak. WOW. I want one too.
How do you use the iPad as a reference monitor for the camera? Would this work with Canon 90D? Thanks!
20:20 hilariois I love it 🤣 I use a tension set up that is meant for a backdrop to create a DIY curtain barrier for my space it’s nice cuz you can have a curve and get squared angles covered
Has to be the best set up and break down video on youtube thanks!!
37:41 there is a editing error.. Great video👍 thanks foe the info.. Definitely helping me make a decision on gear

Hello Think Media Team,
Fantastic tips. It's time to create a You Tube studio set up after watching this video. Happy new year!! 👍🎉
What is that LED light panel at the background though 29:08, it din’t get introduced. 🤔

This is one of the best videos on building out a UA-cam recording setup on the internet - thanks!
This is kind of a weird idea, but I use a Newer light stand, but it can also be used as a C stand for both the camera and the light
Doesn't sound weird to me, sounds like you have a multi-purpose stand! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. This was super helpful!! I’ve been a little overwhelmed with what set up for my office
This was absolutely GOLD!! the most I’ve ever felt informed and inspired by a Channel!! Thank you!!
I already need finish this to the end, because my set up is sleep!
Think Media always dropping the tech info. Thankx guys!!!
Question! How can you make your iPad (or something else for that matter) a wireless video monitor? I’m super interested in that!
Yes! this pls!! Great question @DarthNash6 Thanks
That looks like the Monitor+ app.
I’ve been perseverating about my studio set up thank you do for this . Any tips on background lighting?
Nice behind the scenes look at what you do. Thanks for sharing. "Crispy" might be slightly overused.

Great video but would have been great if you showed your rim light DEP setup. I am going to search UA-cam for rim light setup now 😅

@@ThinkMediaTV I dig it
I wish I had the money to get all this equipment for my podcast. This is definitely motivation 🤞🏾💪🏾💯
This is a great video man. Getting ideas.
Thanks for the tips. If you are sitting so close to the camera, how come it looks like a wide angle view, is it the camera?
5 second set up?! Sign me up haha! Thanks for sharing what you actually use to get the best quality

Your studio is so cool bro I really appreciate nice setup
Very informative presentation. The question is, how do you use the iPad for an extra camera?
Very helpful. As a very beginner with limited funds for camera, would be nice to have a parallel version of this for iPhone creators.
Look at the video before this one, they did a cell phone setup last week
@@charlenek11 Thanks...will check out
Watched the whole video. Thank you for sharing !
Great vid. Do you have a link to those sweet sound blankets?
Would love to see a video on different light diffusers and how you guys use them
