very well thought out TUTORIAL.. especially the bit on getting the mike to work.. ( It took me days to sort it out using ASTRO user manual / guide etc.. I assume same would apply if I lost this Astro chat cable and used the xbox char adaptor )

Given that the model 1708 xbox one controllers have a notorious problem with the headphone jacks, this seems to be a viable option. However, these can not be considered truly bluetooth/wireless if there is still a wired connection between the controller and headset. My questions would be: Is the adapter to controller cord required to talk to people in game or is this purely for xbox live chat? Also are there other options to remove the cord from the picture all together?
I got these and they're pretty decent so for. I just wish there was a mute button on the headset controller adapter rather then moving the mic up.

Great tutorial. When the A50s are connected and playing audio, will the audio also play out of the tv/receiver? If so, does it only play in stereo (which is the setting you had selected in your xbox settings)? I'm guessing the Xbox won't output two digital surround signals at the same time. Any input?
Mine plays through the tv and the headset at the same time.

Is the adapter piece that connects from the controller to the headset necessary. Can I just use an aux cord instead ?

Respond as fast as you can please I have a few questions dose your Xbox need to be on to charge the a50 2ed question will it show red when it's still plugged in and my last question how long dose it take to charge.
Your Xbox does not need to be on to charge them. And light will go off when done charging. Never payed much attention when charging them so idk how long it takes to charge. I would say a least over an hour for them to charge maybe more.

For anyone getting the Xbox one A50. You should really take a look at the Gen1 A50 a lot cheaper then the new ones the only thing you would have to buy is the AG1 cable which is the adapter. I played 105$ for everything.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one but I've got a party chat echo on my friends end and I can not seem to figure out how to get rid of it....I just bought these from a guy online and I've updated everything but can't seem to get rid of the echo...it even echo when my Mic is off and muted...any suggestions?

I have the Astro a50 that need the stereo adapter. I can't seem to get audio from my mixamp only from the adapter and my mic always echoes for everyone in the party even when it's on mute. Do you know of any solutions to this

I can hear game chat but I can't hear any volume. when someone else talks they tell me in (message) a echo.
I meant I can't hear people talk

+Trevor Porter On the right side of the headset towards the bottom it should say voice / game. Click where it says voice and it will make party chat louder. Click on game and it will make the game louder and it will also turn down party chat. If you click game enough it should mute party chat.

I thought so too. Just got home with them and thought that the wire ur talking about was just a temp set-up wire. Not the case :( ... Fucking bullshit as it says wireless. Not sure how they are any different then a40's pre mix amp version. I just want a headset that doesn't have to be plugged into anything, but sadly Idk it one exists.
So they are completely wireless, but only if u never want to speak to anyone on Xbox lol. U need that wire to be plugged in if u want to speak in a game or party. Which still sucks as that is a big part of Y I bought it

My audio had been working from my headset but my Mike had problems so I sent it into be looked at by Astro. When they sent it back the Mike works now but my audio doesn't work. How do I attempt to fix this issue?

You can use them without chat cable. But you won't be able to talk to anyone.
