  • Is this the most terrifying BIGFOOT encounter to have ever been recorded...
    Over the centuries, North America has played host to some truly unsettling, bizarre and otherworldly tales, some of which sound too strange to be true. Tales of ghosts, cryptids and aliens are rife across the land, with the United States alone claiming sightings of some of the world's most well-known and iconic cryptids - the mothman of Point Pleasant, the wendigo, the crawlers, the Flatwoods monster and, of course, bigfoot. The latter is the subject of today's video, where we will take a deep-dive into one of the most peculiar alleged sightings of the world-famous ape man. For this story, however, we'll need to travel north. Beyond the realms of the USA's Pacific Northwest region, past even Canada - this story takes place in the remote tundra forests of Alaska, and spans across many years.

    In my opinion, no serial killer is going to roam around in zero degree weather, no campfire since it would give his position away, and live off the land. Humans can't last 30 days on Survivor with camera crews and medics and free food let alone just somehow stand around in a frozen landscape

    • @monadamus42
      @monadamus42 Рік тому +10

      Not true. A large amount of the residents report seeing the creature and its huge footprints before the town was abandoned. If you take first-hand reports into account, that can serve as proof. I believe them. This video is not very good as it didn't go into graphic detail about some of the bodies discovered. For instance, the logger mentioned was found with his head caved in. The log-splitting device found nearby had his blood all over it. It's been said in multiple other videos it took at least 4 or 5 men to lift this thing but it was found thrashed with the victim's blood on it. As if it was used as a bludgeon. Good enough proof for me

      For those who are somehow confused, the context is simple - When the video was first uploaded, the thumbnail was different. Before, there was ONLY the picture of the house, WITHOUT "Portlock" being mentioned anywhere, or any other relevant subtext for that mind. This was when my comment was uploaded. Even then, my comment would still stand - In the context of the paranormal and mystery surrounding forest environments, the house in the thumbnail is fairly noticeable to those who already knew of the story, largely because there is no other significant physical structure left behind from the once-bustling town of Portlock.

    Really interesting story about a alleged humanoid monster terrorizing a small town in Alaska. Makes you wonder if what the hunters and harvesters died from was a polar or grizzly bear attack. Although I never heard of bears living so long to terrorize a specific area in the woods. A sighting with the alleged Bigfoot peeping in a window is scary. Could be some sort of shapeshifter creature in Alaskan native legend like the Skinwalker that scared the Town’s people away.

    It was a gigantic Artic Tiger!
    The natives called it Nacknack, but the Siberian Tigers were once plentiful due to numerous wild caribou and like the Native Aluetians followed the once connected bridge between Siberia and Alaska.
    Some of these Artic tigers grew dark coats instead of white polar hair.

      I knew a Canadian Kid from College and he did what I could never do, he went to Russia via South Korea. Along the way, Brendan wrote about the natives there. The elk, the wild reindeer that these Mongolians and European Scandinavian Russians hunted as far as the Artic regions. Imagine a tiger from the Kamchatka regions as big as a polar bear ! These Tigers of Siberia are so smart, they watch human hunters go back to their cabins! They sometimes wait and watch the patterns of hunters with guns and they follow them leaving their homes, same as we humans would do as hunters. But oddly, these large apex tigers seek revenge like a woman whose been betrayed. They actually have accounts in Siberian Russia of large Kamchatka Peninsula tigers doing this! Crazy if not unbelievable!

    Starts off the video front and center on Flathead Lake. Locals here think it was just a sturgeon. But it's one of our few local legends in Montana outside of Bigfoot or the Jackalope.

    Did the US Post Office initiate an investigation as to why the townfolk abandoned their investment? Seems to be a lot to just give up without a proper explanation. There was a Sky series on this recently and it was pretty rubbish

    The extended history of this location is very interesting. Starts with the spanish forcing the natives people into labour during the 1500s i think. Some people in the village eventually prayed to a dark spirit for help and since then all sorts of weird stuff has been happening and people dyng.
    Im wondering if its not a bigfoot thats on that land but an evil entity protecting the land as originally summoned to

    Around Christmas time in the months before this video came out, I was watching some kinda Discovery special about this town, and I made a comment about “How do skeptics explain away monster sightings with an actual body count? Bigfoot crisis actors?” And my stepdad unironically said yes. Literally the most Boomer thing I’ve ever heard outta his mouth, and it’s on something least likely to ever affect him in his life.

    The serial killer that killed with blunt force trauma and tore the limbs off, is one hell of a big person. It is easier to believe it was a Sasquatch at least. As for the woman, it was probably the mate of said creature.
