I've been on quite a few Party Boats but what do they do w/ the fish harvested? I've seen some that you keep your catch & the crew cleans them for ya but I've seen others where all the fish go into one basket, they clean em' all, & then EVERYone gets to take some fish home w/ them. I kinda liked the idea of everyone getting some to take home. This boat seemed to have their sH!T together & they worked at it. IT's cool b/c you don't have to own any gear, just show up & they'll put a line in the water for you..... too cool. thanks man >> peace
@billieburke-ww2qj Yeah, just show up and fish. What they do here is that if you catch a leak fish, they will store it in that huge cooler with a tag. After the trip, you get your fish, and take it to the fish cleaning station. Other employees will filet and clean your fish.
Yeah, I've seen it all different ways. You going out 12-30 miles offshore? We went offshore out of Baltimore, Md. & in a total surprise to the Captain we got 6 large Tuna from 150lbs up to just under 300lbs. There were 10 of us who chartered & we had all of the fish cleaned & we gave them cash & fish as a tip for taking care of it. We all got a pile of Tuna but in Texas, I've been out of Sabine Pass to some off the Rigs at 12/15 miles & got into all sorts of fish but I haven't done any charters in the Gulf of Mexico, yet? thanks for the show(s) >> GB
Been on the Buccaneer several times over the years. We’ve caught some nice beeliners, AJs and all the red snapper you’d ever want to catch. Caught a few grouper over the years too. I want to do a tuna trip because it’s so much cheaper than doing it on your own boat lol. Get on a 36hr and enjoy it!
@@BeachBomberFishing April, May and August. I think they always catch a few on overnight trip’s because they’ll choke a beeliner down in a hurry. AJs are out there all the time, just short seasoned now like snapper used to be. Definitely a fun fight. As a side note, if you go on an overnight, see if you can get Okuma to hook you up with a good popping rod. Tuna on a popper is the most fun you can have with clothes on.
You picked the perfect time to go on a party boat! Everyone one that boat is gonna remember that trip! I been on 5 four hour bay trips at the dolphin docks in Port Aransas to only catch gafftops, hardheads and whiting! Great video

I grew up on that boat The Cavalier and the New Buccaneer. Even went on the old Buccaneer before it was decommissioned in the 80s. It was a wooden boat. My uncle was captain of the New Buc. And my father was first mate for many years.
@BeachBomberFishing back then, we had a keeper limit of like 15 or something on red snapper. I can remember the deck being full of fish so much so that you couldn't walk around the deck without stepping on a fish. And they were all sow snapper. Big reds.
Great video! never gone on that boat for the 2h it looks fun. when you do the 12h tuna trip make sure to get enough sleep cause you'll be fishing all night and the best time to fish is also from midnight till dawn. That is the best boat to go out with they are pretty chill. lots of people books for tuna so get the back spot and lot of people stop fishing after midnight for tuna so i would just save your energy for that time instead. Too many people too many tangling lines, not fun.
