Best tip is the last tip. Always remain a student of the game and learn. Sometimes i go out there and don’t even fish. I just watch other people and learn from them. Thats how I gained all my knowledge and continue to build on that knowledge.
These tips are huge. I consider myself to be an above average freshwater fishermen but only get to fish salt once a year or every other. And honestly the surf frustrates the hell out of me . Can't wait to try some of these tips next time I hit the sand !
Very nice. A lot of great tips. I'm a firm believer when people share their knowledge it is a great way to grow your channel. And I truly thank you for that.

Cdfu Much RESPECTED how you keep it simple and only state facts based on your experience/success 💯 Simple bottom rigs and lure fishing the water Columns always get the job done... also so tempted to pull the trigger on a conventional outfit due to the casting distance but the level wind has me second guessing it... reeling the line back on evenly while fighting a fish seems like a lot of work, reminds me of driving a manual car.lol I'm sure with plenty of practice it'll become 2nd nature .... apologies for the long ass paragraph, I got the Raps... 1 too many 🍻 doing research on your vids CDFU
one thing I've used that I learned from you in your older videos is the use of surgical tubing attached to the reel as a brake. I used to burn tf out of my thumb trying to stop a strong cast and that piece of tubing really makes it more comfortable.
Tell me about it. I fished 6-8/0 hooks and threw as far as I could in Texas. And when we went to north carolina, they were using 2-3/0 hooks and tossing into the surf. Had I known this before the last day on vacay when some guy asked if I was shark fishing, and I said.... nope. Redfishing. He asked if I had small hooks, I said no. He gave me 2 puppy drum rigs and some crab fishbites for 10 bucks and told me to throw into the surf. My wife got a red, me 0... wish you would've put this out 2 weeks ago lol. Great knowledge brother
bouns tip.... take a notebook and/or your phone and record conditions temp (air/water), time of day, rig type, water depth, location, air pressure, surface water condition, species, bait, etc if you cant measure it you cant manage it.
Great tip. My grandfather always made notes on his wall calendar related to weather conditions and results from hunting and fishing. His freezer was always full of fish and game.
I appreciate the tips. They helped a lot. I was wondering what you recommend for an all around surf fishing combo. I’m looking for a a new rod and reel.
Great tips, much appreciated. I'm a new subscriber so I'm not 100% if you've done it before but a video about different leaders and rigs would be awesome.
A tip from an old guy about bait. Try cutting the meat off chicken drumsticks at size desired, get a coffee can put the chicken in then put two cans of sardines in mix it up prior to putting it in the fridge overnight sitting 24 hours before fishing. Tag a piece of mullet or shrimp. Works great! Tight lines boys!

Where did you get your leader book. Black? I’m like you all about black lol I’ve had better luck with reds when the sun goes down too. I’m not a morning person lol
Cripes, all the reels I see mentioned are crazy expensive. Yes, I have the money but I doubt I'll have time to go surf fishing more than half a dozen times a year. I'll look for a rod and reel under $100.

Good tips, lots of people on social media don’t like to share their knowledge like they don’t want you to catch their fish.

loved the vid been watching for a while always a great vid! quick question, do you think 40lb mono to too light for bull reds or smaller sharks?
40lb mono is way too heavy for bullreds as a main line. When I used to use mono as main line, I went with 17 or 20lb mono for bull reds.
i use mono. i use 17lb mainline and just tie it to an 80lb shock leader. then my bite leader is 100-150lb
