Thank you. It took me ages to find a site that shows you how to put he cover guard on. No instructions for that in the instruction book. Manufacturers obviously think people know this info automatically. I wanted a good clipper to groom my own dog. Wahl km 2 was my choice.
This video is interesting because none of the clippers on Amazon had different blades and were similar to regular clippers. They worked fine on my dog though.
Thank You, excellent tutorial. So are going to attempt to do our Airedale. He has health issues and can't go through the rigors of grooming any more. This is very helpful.
Great information, however it probably would've been more informative if instead of only telling watchers what the number of the comb is, e.g. #2 comb, that you also inform the watcher as to what the length the comb is supposed to cut which in this case is 3/8 inch. Most people cannot relate to #2 in their minds and have no perspective what that means. If you say the comb, or yields approximately 3/8 inch length then everyone (at least here in the U.S and England) can relate to that. I now have a set of the same combs and so when you say a '#2 comb' I can relate whereas when I watched this video a couple days ago I didn't have a clue because Amazon had not yet delivered my combs yet.😀

I just started watching your videos.they have been a big help. Thank you I was wondering if you could answer a question. I have a Australian Sheppard with a crazy thick coat. What a5 type blade couuld I use to get through that coat?

I love your videos! You are awesome! I have a a question, in some videos you use a 10 blade under a snap on comb. But in some other videos in the past you suggested using a 30 blade under the snap on comb. Just wondering which is best to use and why?
I found 30 gave a better finish. However, I spoke to my supplier Christie last year about the problems I was having with Wahl snap-on combs breaking, and found out that 30 blades can make the comb too loose. She suggested a 15 blade as the best combination between finish and fit. I've gone back to a 10 and not broken any more combs...yet. 😬
Help! I have the km10 as well and I find the blade gets gummed up with fur so quickly on my doodle. I oiled probably 5 times or more in one session. I don't think that's normal. Do you know why this is happening?
There is small knots in the coat. Brush the dog out properly after bathing and drying well. Then cut. It you cant get a comb through then the guard will not go through without gumming up.
@@GoGroomer I'm still confused. My clipper has two settings -1.2 and 1.6mm (I'm sorry, I don't know how they translate into your blade #s). When I use a comb attachment, which of the two settings should I use?

Is this true? 🤔 I've not had a dog before and sources online arent helpful. Online just says things like you should never bring a maltese outside when it's very cold anyway.

Are you using it over a number 10 blade? Sometimes the teeth on the attachment combs become bent if they’re dropped and you have to gently bend them back into place. They may be hitting against the clipper blade when the blade is moving or your clipper blade is out of alignment.

Thank you for the blade/ clip guard demo!! I’ve been having a really hard time the last couple of times I I’ve groomed my standard poodles. For example- tonight paid for professional bath conditioner n blow out so I could do the rest at home. Wahl sent me new blades since last time I groomed them I had the same problem. The blade & guard worked great first round then I wanted to go a bit shorter so got a dif. Clip guard- made it half way through and then it started pulling the hair vs cutting it. It was a brand new blade- in fact I used two fresh out of the packaging new blades, cleaned out, oiled and it just wouldn’t cut anymore and felt like it was pulling it not cutting. Of course it was after hours! Resorted to finishing her off with scissors and left the other one for tomorrow- how???? I don’t know. Please help. 😢🫠🙃😟😔😣🤯🤯 Ps I am very grateful for you & your videos! I'm just now beginning to relax about the clipper; it is thanks to your detailed instruction on changing blades (my Andis blade's tongue closed and I couldn't figure out how to get it opened). Unhappily, my temperament is such that I HATE reading directions!! And I prefer to figure things out on my own. This meant that I abandoned the project for many months;-(
Amy, I have a black miniature poodle, would it be ok to groom Toby's entire body with the Kenchii clippers or are they just for the finish work like between toes and pads, etc. I've thought about purchasing a set and attempting it bcoz watching you groom for a while now, I believe I could do it and if I mess him up, that's fine too, it'll just grow back, lol 😆. Diesel is a Professional customer and you did an amazing job!!! 👏 Jay.
Yes you can but you must purchase the separate 7, 5, or 4 blade for the flash clipper. Otherwise, it’s too short:)
Where do I get other blades for my KM10 not just the 5? Thank You to anyone who has that answer.. Thank You
Where can I purchase the vacuumed attachment you have on your wall MK10? Please reply

Thank you.
You're welcome!
does anyone know how or where to get metal guards or indiv blades for an andis cta 1?
Why do my km10 blade keep getting so hot
Watch my live stream on UA-cam yesterday. You will learn more than that!
Clipper speed???? Please.
How are your hands not dryyyy, cracking and in pain with all the bare hand washing that you do?
As a groomer myself, we do get horribly dry skin with bathing so much and using soap. We get what’s called “bather’s rash”, but after a while your skin gets used to it. Myself and my team like to use O’keefs working hands balm. Life saver. What’s worse is when you get hair splinters lol.
@@ashleygrayson4844 hair splinters definitely the worst.
Precious😊
Thanks
Gracias 🎉🎉🎉

This lady repeats herself numerous times.
Ps I am very grateful for you & your videos! I’ve learned a lot from you and enjoy doing a pretty great job on my pups even though I’m not a pro.
