I'm not a dog groomer, but I somehow got into watching these dog trimming videos, and this is one of the better ones I've watched. This is so relaxing for me! Thank you for the video!!
Love this video! I often can’t watch many of your wonderful videos, because they are too lengthy for me. This video, though, was the perfect length. I learned so much. Thank you, Amy! Please make more of these shorter videos that concentrate on just one area (e.g., face; ears; tail).
Amy you are so awesome. I have learned so much from your videos. You rock Amy. I can't wait until you stream again. I'll be watching for you. Thanks for sharing your videos.
😆 I was trimming my dog's grinch feet. And after getting done with it. I was told you have uploaded a video on how to trim a dog's feet.! I'm like oh... I should have waited then. Lol Oh well! Thank you for uploading this. :)
This is invaluable… you only learn by doing and so much of what the new groomers are missing are all the possibilities of feet, face and tail… all the stuff we learned on the job by the gracious ones that went before us… we need to pay all this foreward♥️‼️☮️🕉🥰😍🐾🐾🌟❣️
Thanks so much for all the great knowledge 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I’m wondering, do you have a video on how to create the pillar legs? Would love to know how to create the look!
Hi Amy this is great Hope you had a good weekend . Im having some trouble with the belly of my Golden I think Im scared a little. Can you tell me where I can find it on your you tube . Have a wonderful day
I do pretty good most paws, except for Shih Tzu. Something about their paws makes it look spread out and I can’t get the front paws to look good at all. Would love to see a video of shih tzu paws done 😊
Thank you so much to share this VDO. It looks so easy to watch you trim the dog with the blade. I'm a little nervous to try. I'm afraid that I might cut his skin. Are there any tip or thing to be aware to use the blade #10 to trim my labradoodle's feet? Thanks again for the VDO.
OMG thank you sooo much! I’ve been trying to give my dog a puppy cut, but I messed up on her feet last time lol. I basically buzz cut her legs. Her fur is coming back soooo, take two!!
Hello where did you get the dogs that stay still? Mine won't for 5 days I cut a little at a time.So now she looks half & half lol Lucille thanks for sharing
dog training on the grooming table is a must to groom dogs professionally. I have videos on my channel teaching how to train and safely secure the dog on the table. That is what the dogs need in order to feel confident during grooming sessions.
would love to see you do these on dogs that really need a haircut three to four months worth of growth... not dogs that needs just a smidge taking off...
The idea of running a pet grooming service business is to not let dogs go months without a groom. I only groom dogs that stay on a 6-8 wk schedule. Sorry, you typically will not see neglected dogs on my channel. That is not how I run my business.
I will use the curved scissors to make the flared paws. You just have to tell me one thing. Which scissor do you use in the back of the leg. I bought Hakimota Japanese thinners.. and will buy curved and straight 7 in. Until I learn how to use thinners I don't want tonspend 400.
@@lindafriedman4148I can use any shear on the back of the leg. It’s not the shear that makes the groom, it’s knowledge and skill. Not acquired in one grooming session .
What do you recommend with a dog that won't sit still? I have a maltese that hates the slicker brush and any comb I use on him. He's constantly moving away from me. He's 16 months old.
Great video! I'm currently wanting to learn to do the Asian fusion type cut on my shih tzu. I usually keep her a bit shorter than their cuts so I have time to research. If you haven't done a video on that yet maybe you could someday?
Now I must research this type of groom. I will say I'm a more natural longer hair on my Morkie Multipoo and Shih Tzu Gal but with that being said I am definitely looking at different options.
If you want a private consultation that can be arranged. My email address is in the description of every video and you can reach out to me and arrange that. Or you can watch my videos and pick out the “cookies.”
That's what I'm working on doing ... I don't want to keep on asking you so much. My eyes are bad. I can't stay on phone watching you tube for hours. Thank you. I started email. Will bathe her tomorrow and take pictures. I groomed my yorkie for 14 years who did professional modeling. I did a great job. Shih tzu is problem for me. Once I get answers tools and what to do I'll be fine.
Is the natural foot pretty similar to a cat paw type foot (see golden retrievers) ? This is the main type of foot trim I was taught to do, but I find it ugly on a lot of clients because it exposes the nail. The natural foot seems like maybe it doesn't expose the nail as much? It also seems a bit easier to do
I found it. I have no idea how to do her tail which curls up and is in the way. I ordered igroom squalene products fir her cottony full coat. It's just too dry . CC precious drops stinks
@@lindafriedman4148 grooming is work and requires you to gain skill. This is a learning process and cannot be achieved in one single grooming session. I hope you understand that.
I'm finding out as a pet owner that shih tzu is definitely harder than my yorkie that was done perfect by me. I won't be asking any more questions. It's stressing me

Amy has quite a few Shih Tzu videos on her channel.
What a beautiful job! I wish my groomer would be as neat as you. My poor Cocker is all choppy 😢

people have dogs thats come in who have been abandoned, its just not realistic to only have it shown

Can't find the flared bell paws for shih tzu small. Looking can't find

Fab video thank you. Any suggestions where I can get some CURVED blending scissors??
Do you ever do any grooming shows?
Yes, I attend them, but have not been invited to teach at any seminars yet.

If Yoon doesn't have a Kensy flash war ensemble could you use for the pads?

That's it finally. Beveled foot. Name all tools to buy remember she's a tiny shih tzu not standard

Which blending shear
I can use any blending shear, depends on you level of expertise and coat type.

Can you tell me what kind of brush you are using on the feet? Is that red end silicone?

I didnt see a POODLE BRACELET???
