Another cool thing about this game is that the miniatures have dynamic/action poses. Stuff like that helps you immerse yourself in the theme better. In a lot of games with miniatures the figures look like minis from the Queens Guard, they don't exactly inspire excitement.
Glad to see some interest! Be sure to check out BGG page and our Kickstarter preview page here: www.blacklistgamesllc.com/single-post/2017/05/16/Street-Masters-Kickstarter-Launches-May-23rd
I'm shocked this hasn't funded yet! C'mon guys, go back the kickstarter right now! www.kickstarter.com/projects/blacklistgames/street-masters-rise-of-the-kingdom/description
@The the creators of this game. This seems interesting but why did you copy from street fighter and other major fighting games and paste them onto your game. You took Sean and put his face onto Alex's body and gave him a tattoo, hell your version even has Alex's famous fighting stance. You took Goro from mortal combat and meshed him with Blanka, then you took Blanka again and meshed him with Akuma. You even gave your character a back symbol just like Akuma. The more I think about it, the more your characters aren't yours. You got some Broly looking guy from Dragon Ball Z. Your Mr. Apple is clearly Dan from street fighter. You made Zangief fat and took away E. Hondas face paint. You got some weird Mortal combat GI Joe looking dude in red and some sub zero ryu mix as another dude. This game would be far better if you had taken the time to come up with original characters for this game. That alone would of made this game far better. You can call it a homage if maybe you just had Mr. Apple who's trying to be Dan but your entire roster, I dont think So. Thats no longer paying homage. Thats just being lazy. Didn't you think that fighting game fans play board games to. Did you not think these fans such as me wouldn't realize what you're doing. I'm not mad but seriously, what the hell ! Even half the title of your game is taken from Street Fighter lol.
-GoRdoN- wow someone's butt hurts. I already said I'm not mad as in I dont care enough to do anything to stop them from making this game. I'm sure this game is good idk. Just seems odd of what they did. There's better ways pay homage. So are done being Mr. Apple ?

Thanks for checking our game out! Sorry you don't care for the art, but fortunately there are thousands of games coming out each year, some of which will probably suit your art preferences better than ours :)
Brady Sadler it has nothing to do with art preference. Its that your characters resemble existing and well known characters too closely. Which is why I was able to pin point who your characters were. Look, your games seems cool but fans of street fighter, mortal combat, dragon ball z, and other major titles will recognize these characters the way I did. All I'm saying is if I created characters and I saw some game use characters that very closely resembled my characters, I'd be upset. I just think it would've been better if your artist for this game came up with fresh ideas as far as the characters and their appearance go. I hope your game gets funded though, best of luck!
Freddie Duran again, that's preference. I've never met a concept artist or commercial illustrator who didn't appreciate homage. Again, I'm bummed the game isn't doing it for you, but I wouldn't lose any sleep thinking anything the Blacklist artists have done will in any way harm the creators of the characters behind the tributes.
Looks interesting, just not sure about the female characters. I'll never understand why designers can't draw / make dressed female characters, it always just brings down the class of a game for me. I guess this just copied the usual 'female fighter' look of video games though, so I understand it from that perspective, just a shame they didn't fix that ongoing issue. Thanks for the preview guys.
Im developing my own game and I will have a few female characters in it and I know allot of female characters can sometimes be very over-sexualized can you give a few examples of female characters that you liked and felt weren't as bad.
Sorry, but I'm not getting this issue here, the girls are actually wearing more than what they do in regular fighting games, and here they are wearing just as much as the guys are (except brandon, who's supposed to be bruce lee in a jumpsuit). There are no ridiculous cleaveages or anything else. Wearing sporting clothes while doing martial arts make sense.
I didn't think there was much of a problem either but I am a man and would love to here more from a women on how she would like to be portrayed in games.
+Nerfenstein aka GirlyGamer Hmm.. wouldn't almost every woman, who is so much into fighting or any kind of sports that will shape her body a very positive way, be proud of that? And perhaps willing to show a bit more of it? Be honest.
Thanks for having us on, guys! Was really fun chatting about this with you.
Yeah, we're stoked about the art coming in. The artists are fantastic, and it's really bringing the theme to life :)
