My wife and I live in Alabama. Where I grew up. My wife is from Long Island. A nice Italian family. My sister and brother in law live in wantaugh. Been up there a few times and road that train into NYC. Very nice up there and lots of nice people. Great pizza lol. Thanks for the video. Keep up the great work and stay safe.
Reminds me of home. I'm from N. Bellmore. I remember my God mother riding her bike from Hempstead, just to go fishing at Twin Lakes in Wantah...and she was damn near 80 then!!!😅🤣😂

I have a suggestion, please do the Bethpage Bikeway. The start of it is at Massapequa Lake which is not that much further east from where you were.
It goes all the way to the northshore but paved only up to Jericho Tpke in Syosset

This gave me flashbacks of when I rode a bike from Levittown to Merrick to visit my grandparents. I got out of NY in 75. I estimate that since then I have saved $405k in taxes. Probably more since the house I lived in was double the size of what I grew up in.
I grew up here and it's pronounced "Wantaw." I remember when the railroad was elevated. We spent all summer at Jones Beach. Used to catch the bus at the train station, paid a quarter and they dropped us off at the main bathhouse. Funny thing is that even though I wasn't sure of the neighborhoods, I always knew which direction he was headed. I went to the elementary school on Beech Street north of the train station.

You seem to have kept a really nice riding pace throughout the entire course of this video!! I love the fact that you were Blowing by people otherwise as Breathtaking as the scenery was it might've gotten Boring!! I gotta say Nice work while both filming & cycling in this 1. Your Central Park Cycling video was pretty good as well even though it wasn't anywhere near as fast paced & during that 1 you did appear to get totally smoked by a group of guys that seemed as though they might've even been professional cyclists training for Tour De France or Hell of The West with Kevin Costner. LMAO check out the movie so you can get a laugh & at the same time enjoy a true classic movie on cycling. Seriously though Nice Work Kid.

You're becoming quite a celebrity AK! 😂. Back in my younger days, I cycled an average of 1000 miles a year, and the only way I could make a video of my journeys, was to strap a VHS camcorder to the rack behind the saddle, and film where I'd been 🤣

Before the bike path was made, there was a path you could even ride a horse down.

I sometimes do when I'm riding my bicycle. I'll put the power bank in a shirt pocket.
