Dear Martina, buon natale and thank you for such a special episode - it made a wonderful gift for me to „open“ and watch Christmas Day! It was such a pleasure to listen and watch you sharing your childhood treasures. You and your sister were so talented 😮!! I am so impressed. I once tried to make a clay horse as a school child and it looked more like a pregnant cow …. Not very pretty at all. Your love of polar bears started early! And your sisters lamb and horse with their own jumpers, so sweet!! I cannot wait to see how your beautiful mitts turn out, I love the self striping yarn with the mohair, it blends the colors so beautifully - I am sure they will be very special. Enjoy your family and your holiday! Love to the puppies ❤!
Oh thank dear Rebecca, your shares are always so thoughtful and beautiful for me to read❣I feel so grateful to have you here. Yes, me and my sister were quite good at crafting and the teachers were probably very helpful and patient so those objects turned out beautiful 🤎❣ I send you a wish to have a year full of all the joy and love your heart desires 🤎
You’re inspiring! Thank you. The Nutiden yarn color is Lukra - so beautiful. I used that color held single to make Fields of Gold by Hundred Acre Wool. Another beautiful pattern for Nutiden is Harvest Blouse. Again, love your podcast ❤

Merry Christmas Martina & Micke! Martina it was so good to see you and see all your knitted things! Your mother's sweater is beautiful, and I do think you could recreate it and make a beautiful version as well. I see where you get your creative wild side! :) It made me so happy this morning to be knitting on some fingerless gloves and to see your podcast come up! Miss you & our sharing. Let's get in touch again after the new year! Here's to a fruitful and joy filled 2023!
So funny, I just finished the two by two and did it one by one.. 😅 the sweater colors for the feathered friends mal is stunning, the colors work so beautifully together! I can't believe you carved that polar bear.. You and your sister are so artistic!! Isn't it wonderful to have so many handmade things with memories? I love finding things my Grandma or my Mom or my Aunt hand made, they are so special. 😍
Aww how precious all your things are beautiful especially all the things you both made as children I love the doll would totally make several of those for my kids ❤
I wrote my first message as soon as you started, so I have more comments now! I have wanted to make those horses for a while now!! I believe the pattern is called the Montessori horse? I saw it on Pinterest, my grandchildren love horses! Your sister did a great job, love the sweater. How incredible that you made that polar bear, at such an early age too. Funny...how things come back around in our lives. I love your memories and handmade items, you have lived such a blessed life Martina, no wonder you are so full of joy! Lastly, I love it when I hear about specialized schools that center on certain giftings, I wish the US did that more. Such a great way for children to learn. The yarns you made your hat, fingerless mitts, and sweater from were amazing!!!!! Have a beautiful visit with your sister and mum. Love you ~
oooohh, we had that gnome book too!! the cover was different and it was in Dutch (I'm from Belgium). But oh, this is so nostalgic to see! Me and my siblings, we loved that book! We don't have it anymore unfortunately
The 'Gnomes' book was originally Dutch. Rien Poortvliet was a well-known illustrator here in the Netherlands. He made also beautiful books on horses, farm animals and wildlife.

Happy Holidays Martina!!!🪴 What a nice podcast with all your handmade crafts!!! They are amazing! Waldorf school must have been a great experience! Can you talk about how their approach is different from conventional schools? I 'd be grateful! By the way, your dogs are out of this world!!!
Happy holidays to you🤍❣If I remember it, I'll talk about it. The Waldorf schools are generally a lot more "artistic", meaning there are many workshops and laboratories such as textile, woodworking, painting, dancing, etc. The whole philosophy is long to explain but they believe that children are not numbers and the grading system is very different from conventional schools. I think I was very luck to attend to Waldorf schools but it can be a bit difficult to go to normal school such as high school after that, it was kinda of a shock for me😅
Martina, I would love to wish you and your family a very merry Xmas and new happy new year's, this was a beautiful podcast, you never disappoint, look forward to many more , bye sweet lady
Buon Natale to you, your family & your polar bears ❄️🎄I love the sweater your mom knitted, it is so beautiful! If you recreate it and write up a pattern for it, let me know because I want to knit one for myself😂💗💗
