So in this video I said that I cheaped out on the Rotopax mount and that I should have spent the extra $15 and got the real thing. As it turns out, there was nothing wrong with the mount. I was just too stupid to figure out how it works. All is good now and the mount is working perfectly. #idiot
😢I'm sorry you're having to suffer through the Extreme heat. But we're glad your back. The tire carrier is so excellent (again) and the mod to it with the traction boards and gallon jug makes it even better. It's truly amazing how much more functional, not to mention better looking, you've made the Commander since you've owned it. It's become the Jeep that Jeep should have made in the first place.
Thank you. As you know, a lot of thought and effort go into these builds and I can't remember a build that I have changed my mind on more than this one. So far, it's working out, but we are far from the final product. I'm really looking forward to the next couple of mods. They should really set the Jeep off. Thanks for always watching and supporting the channel.
That's the plan! I'm going to make some bigger changes soon. I'm shooting for a big overlanding/offroad event coming up in the beginning of next year. I want to make sure that the rig is 100% ready. Thanks for watching.
Love your work! We got some Bunker traction boards too, stacked four of them together, replacing two Maxtrax boards we previously had (and at half the price). We haven't tested them yet.
Your back! I'm still far behind you, but working on mine. Yours is the absolute best👌! One question: What did u do with the rear camera? Stay 😎 cool!!!
I relocated it to the mount above the license plate. It had to be completely rerouted from the hatch to the tire swing out and then I had to modify the bracket. It turned out awesome. Originally I thought I would mount it on the top of the roof rack for a bird's eye view, but after testing it, it was a terrible picture. Where it is now is the best option. I tested a bunch of places. Thanks for watching!
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers, thank you for your speedy reply! I’ve been having a difficult time finding something nice that would fit my Commander! I will mention your channel, if given the opportunity! 😉
Man I thought the video was gonna show how you've been pulling Jeeps and 4Runners out of mud holes or something gnarly like that! Just kidding dude, it's been balls hot here in CA too so I know not wanting to do anything. The add on came out looking sick but I still think you need some death metal XDD badges on there!
I know it's been hot everywhere, but we are lucky enough to have the humidity too. 🥵 The Commander will be on the rescue soon! More coming to this build soon! Thanks for always watching, JC.
@@ExtremeDailyDrivers yeah I had an xB and watched all your videos then. Sold it to a friend then built this W140 show car and now want to trade it for a beach rig for me and the family. I like the size of the Commander but heard the transfer case is a weak link. Is there an upgrade for that?
The transfer case is the LAST thing you have to worry about with the Commander. Lol. Engine heat is the weak link for the XK, especially in the Hemi. I can't stress enough to not buy the Hemi. The engine bay is too small for the Hemi and it results in poor cooling, which causes the engines to overheat and drop a valve. It's a problem for the 4.7 too, but not nearly as bad. I'll be doing some mods in the near future to help cool down the engine bay. If you can keep the engine bay cool, you can avoid a lot of issues the XK is known for. It's a great rig and if you test drove one, I think you would buy it. It's like a big xB.

I have a question what year is your commander and what is it the sport or overland??❤❤
It's a 2006 Limited.
Love your Commander, man! Keep up the good work!
Thank you. 🙏 Lots more coming.
Looking Good!!! The Commander is looking like an Outlander now!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It's getting there! Lots more to come. Thanks for watching.

Just got hooked on the Commander videos. Nice to see someone local, but yes it has been brutally hot/humid this year. Hope to see you out and about!!
Welcome aboard! Glad you are enjoying the videos! Hope to see you on the road!
Your commander is so awesome.
🙏 Thanks dude.
He's back! Hell yeah it's been hot 🥵
Dude, it's been brutal. Thanks for watching!
Love the commander, looks awesome with that tire carrier! Now lets see you take it where you might need those recovery boards!

I love the Bunker boards. They stack so thin. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.

well you always figure it out!!
Thanks!
Great vehicle! What rims and tires do you have and where did you get them? Thank you!
Thanks! They are Method wheels and Toyo AT3 tires. I got them from Tire Rack.

@@ExtremeDailyDrivers, do you have an episode where you upgrade your tires?
@@Awakenings7 Yes. Check out Commander Gets A Lift. Also, going to 33s in a couple of weeks. Videos coming.
Thank you!!

Is the molle panel on the sidehack steong enough to support a Hi Lift jack?
I doubt it.
Disculpa no se si me pudieras ayudar referente a mi Jeep commander no me prenden luces ni tacómetro ni nada del tablero ni estereo sera algun módulo?
First...in who knows how long!

Take the doors off!!😂 who cares if it’s a unibody

Maaaan if you ever want to trade this thing for a bagged Mercedes W140 on 3 piece wheels let me know 👀👀👀
I’m located in Jacksonville btw
Thanks for the offer, but I'm sticking this thing through to the end. Thanks for watching.
