This almost brings tears to my eyes, seeing Allan alive in his own place with Virgil listening to their great music. RIP
Agree entirely - this material needs to be released.
The piece they are listening to has the dreamiest, most sublime chord changes ever.
@@josephcambron7060 Like Debussy goes Jazz Fusion!
Virgil’s playing complimented Allan profoundly.
By far the best collab I've heard so far. Virgil made him sound modern.
Anyone else get teary eyed. For those of us touched by his music, seeing him is like he is an uncle. Such a blessing to hear his work.
I wish the whole music industry would honor him on a TV special. He humbles every guitarist on this planet.
Allan, we love and miss you.
I think about him every day! I’m 21 and I’ll probably take this music to my grave!
@@foobarbazquuxI’m 21 as well, and I completely agree!!! I listen to his music every single day, and he will always be my absolute favorite musician ever. I feel like once you get into his music and connect with it, it sticks with you forever.
What in the world Is that bass solo.....?!!!
it’s incredible! It’s got to be Jimmy Johnson Playing his series I
Alembic bass... Extraordinary Musician!!
I love Allan with all my heart but as a bass player I'd like to pay tribute to the great Jimmy Johnson as well - one of the most talented and underrated bassists out there...
Rodrigo Aravena Amen to that brother!
is this Jimmy on bass? Brilliant soloing here! Love JJ
@@byronhoagland7932
indeed. Mr Johnson himself...
Indeed and agreed, my friend! Jimmy J has been my #1 bass hero since I first had my mind blown listening to Metal Fatigue eons ago. Although I respectfully question your "underrated" claim, as "Flim" has played on literally thousands of recordings and I believe a VERY large number of respected artists have called upon his incredible bass services throughout the years.
These tunes absolutely should get released.
Agree. Lucky to get Earth from the campaign. The next one I believe is "Pirate of Fukouka" with even deeper Synthaxe drops. Heard it was not completed. Been great to master it through. They are some incredible works from Allan. Wow he was the Synthaxe master.
@@georgeacton7918 And there were a couple others: "Every Tenth Man", and "Insomniac" were two others that he was playing live before he passed that was going to be released on a record. Never was completed.
Does anyone know what piece is at 3:00?
not to forget to mention the extraordinary bass work of jimmy johnson....
♥️
is he playing ? i think it was Anthony Crawford
@@Diegindiegons No, it was Jimmy. I also thought it was Antony Crawford initially. 0:21 That is big fingerprint of Jimmy right there.
The world's foremost electric guitarist guitarist of our time in his cramped living/practice room/mixing studio, monitors on barstools and a couch full of guitars. My hero.
These two were meant for each other. Virgil is undoubtably a huge AH fan.
My word, Jimmy's run starting at 0:35 - that guy is off the charts!!! Would've LOVED to see Virgil and Flim play together with Allan, though I'm also incredibly grateful to have seen Chad, Skuli and Steve with AH many years ago. RIP dearest maestro, and thanks again for all that you've provided for us regular earthlings!
Jimmy plays regularly at the Baked Potato. If you can get out here just to see that it's worth it.
What amazes me is that Holdsworth could keep up Donati at his age,R.I.P. Allan Holdsworth.
Unbelievable polyrhythms from Virgil!
these two standing next to each other....man that's some musical genius combined in that room
I love the way Virgil is completely in awe of Allan!
The piece at the beginning is like flying, like feeling in love.
I honestly feel like Virgil is the Allan of drumming. I wish they could have done so much more together. A match made in outer space!
This stuff has got to see the light of day. It would be a fitting epitaph to the great man
Humble Genius. All the musicians that played with him were incredible. You had to be.
It tears me up knowing he was working on a new album before he passed, as well as the tales from the vault project becoming not existent due to pledgemusic being liquidated. We need this music!
Such a sweet bass solo
Progmanmike That's Jimmy Johnson, who was apparently just having been set fire to. ;-)
Progmanmike Flim
Genius bass playing. He never ceases to amaze me!
R.I.P. the tune in this video is absolutely astonishing, magnificent chord progression... what a beautiful harmony! Thanks for all, Allan.
Saw the Allan Holdsworth Band a few nights ago (with Virgil on drums), after listening to Allan's works for about 40 yrs now, to finally see him live, well...I think it was the highlight of my life!!! I plan to support this Pledge Music Campaign and it will be an honor to do so, Sir Allan, thank you for your incredible contribution to jazz and music, best wishes to you, your music is so moving....words cannot express!!!
Allan Holsworth e Virgil Donati ... due MOSTRI !!!! Immensi ...
Sir Allan Holdsworth, a musical legend. I wish i would grow old to be like you sir. Hat's off, may your album be succesful.
+yusazua ....the master !
Two guys at the very top of their game. RIP ALLAN.
Please release some of this music...
Can't even begin to understand these rhythms. So beautiful. How on earth did he manage to compose stuff as complex as this?
Allan's contribution to music is amazing. Virgil in another side continues Allan's legacy as a drummer. And btw, one of those guitars must be in a Louvre museum. RIP Allan ❤️❤️❤️. 🙏
Allan I love you sooo much !!! you make me free my mind !! w with your beautiful amazing music !!!
+luz galatea ....right words ! - thx
Another example of extraordinary alien music technology and genious! This music that the three of them played his almost beyond comprehension and it’s concepts. It’s very unfortunate that the airwaves don’t have enough sense to present this to the public in a bigger way, but that’s the way goes. But I do have to say there are a few of us out there that can truly appreciate the level of musicianship that these three have achieved. Much much respect first of all to Allan Holdsworth, Then his extraordinary rhythm section, Jimmy Johnson on bass and Virgil Donati on drums.
This is just beautiful - really hope these recordings will see the light of day and be released soon. What a legacy AH has left us. Also great to see the Synth Axe setting there - one of the most misunderstood musical instruments imho - Allan mastered it perfectly. Such a genius musician/composer.
Loving that this is Allan's living room hehe. I notice the blanket on the chair..he obviously sleeps in there as well. Immersed in music!
this is sick
I just became 50x more excited about this album!
Simply out of this world. It's like two alien beings communicating with each other!
Dag gone it, I am teary up.... to see Al with Donati hanging.... We still miss you , Allan... should I say Uncle Allan
Love this session. Have "Earth", stellar track from the Tales from the Vault Hoping the other one "Pirates of Fakouka " gets mastered for completion. Been a fan of Allan since the late 70s. His great music will live for centuries to come. RIP Meastro. Your music is amazing, genius, and brilliant.
Awesome! Guitar and Drum ROYALTY!
Amazing synths
Allans work and the added works of others on it has always been the pinnacle of what great music really is. Thank you so much for sharing your genuineness. Your music is the soundtrack to my life in many levels. We will always support you Allan.
thanks for a glimpse behind the curtain of oz
I got the zip file with the MP3s after participating to the pledge, downloaded it right after the release, and I still get shocked at how much information and awe I get from the song. When I think of these three guys playing together, I picture something like this in my head: other musicians, even the best ones, are moving music forward, like if they traveled a thousand miles to get where they are now, but this trio sounds like they have traveled 100 thousand miles. Like, I listen to other projects where musicians push boundaries a lot, like Planet X, and I find them amazing, and I understand them. But man, listening to the tune released for Tales, I haven't yet understood it all. I get shivers from it - especially Jimmy's (my favorite bass player) solo over Allan's fantastic harmony -, and my reaction is still "what? How?", I get dizzy while enjoying the tune.
My favorite trio, without a shadow of a doubt. Allan, dude, we (musicians around the world) miss you so much. But thanks for leaving such a fantastic legacy for all of us - but please be patient, we still need a few more decades to at least decently comprehend all you created. You were way ahead of your time.
I forgot all about this, I switched operating systems and combed through my emails. Now I can't download again.
@@mattf9076 that sucks, man... Maybe try reaching Virgil's team and get them again?
What is the album called or track name? I want to see if there are any seeders. I will seed it myself if I find it.
@@Channel10334 i believe it's called "Earth", but I didn't download it via torrent, I participated on the pledge and got access to the recording (with a few different versions of it iirc)
This Heaven💜🎵💥🙏💥🎵💜
RIP
Manca tantissimo Allan, ma soprattutto mancano musicisti come lui.. ❤️
Hi everyone the two tracks on this video are The Pirate of Fukuoka and Earth. Earth will most likely be the one Allan releases first through Pledge Music.
It will only be available through Pledge along with special recording and session notes and other comments by Allan.
The track is composed by Virgil Donati.

Team AH
John McCracken Music Group What happened to this material? The link says "page not found"
Hi, is there a way to download "The pirate of Fukuoka" track ? It's not in the Pledge Album. Thank you.
He never finished the work on it.
@@aliensporebomb Well, that's not a problem.
Also, this new music has Virgil Donati (Drums), Jimmy Johnson (Bass) and a guest appearance by the late piano wizard Austin Peralta who died way too young.

Is this material ever gonna be released? As well as all of his new album?
what the f***?! is this released anywhere??
Amazing stuff, thanks for posting this!!
Allan & Virgil...I had wanted this since many years ago..Thank you so so much!!!
Allan Holsworth um Alien, Saudade desse Fera Angelical
Ver este video es como ver a dos titanes abriendo las puertas del Valhalla... INCREIBLES. VIVIREIS POR SIEMPRE!
A match made in heaven
rip allan, you were astonishing and you are missed dearly!
Nice to see he's still got a couple of MasterTracks Pro workstations in the rotation ;) Legendo
I'm so glad Dream Theater didn't pick Donati as their new drummer. Don't get me wrong, I still love DT, but having Virgil there would be like having a beautiful bird in a small cage, you just don't do that.
Oveja Negra Precisely
Everything happens for a reason, right? Donate in DT means he wouldn’t have been available to Allan Holdsworth
Ahahaha
Yeah!!!!!👾
They might have come up with some decent music for a change with Virgil’s input. Between the terrible vocals and Mangini’s soulless drumming, they’ve gone downhill fast.
Yesterday a friend called me to tell me about Allan's passing, very sad, I couldn't believe it.
magistral
cheers master holdsworth!
love the couch for guitars
this makes me wish so much for new fully fledged album from Allan...
This is just …. amazing😢
I sure hope we get to hear the rest of the music Allan was making for his next album
Incredible music. Such a normal bloke but so out of this world.
Wow - I'm so happy.
This is fantastic...
Jimmy Johnson playing as well?
I will do a lot to get this record, and tell everyone about it till they have enough.
I saw Allan holdsworth in Melbourne.
I would love to see the entire video of Virgil playing Earth.
AH was a no bullshit kind of guy. Loved music. Period. RIP Mr. H.
Simply incredible!
Playing Great as Always Virgil.
Freakin' Awesome. Thanks much for posting this.
Thanks for sharing! Very inspirational.
hearing some prime blushdas there, mr. donati
Damn. Magical!
Can't wait!
My regrets in life continue to grow and not seeing Allan play live especially with Virgil is another sad one. Hopefully In This Life (pun intended) I will get to see Virgil play live.
Amazing!
Everyone thinks that 4/14/15 is the date of the recording, but this is actually a reference to the time signature that they were working on that crosses over into the 5th dimension.

Definitely Holdsworth must be one of the aliens rescued from the Roswell crash...
I've always said that Allan its an alien haha
star people...., that's the way to go..., takes one to know one, Allan, a precious genius musician soul, yes.
out of this world, but we also love dropping by once and a while, to check in on the progress of the Light here :)
Love & Light to Allan and all of You and all of this.... thank you for posting... and this pledge project is A+ great
Allan Holdsworth and Shawn Lane too!

High Art
ALLAN HOLDSWORTH !
INSANE
Yeah!!
Virgil is an epic monster to pros. To the rest of us he lives on Mars
Before Allan no one played guitar anything like this or played such chordal sequences. Every advanced electric guitarist owes him something without even realising. The man who changed guitar as much as hendrix. Took it much farther in fact.
I saw him with nucleus in 1979 in Southampton UK.
Then saw his band IOU in a london pub in 1980 before his IOU album was recorded.
It was clear Allan was a genius the like of which had never been seen before & would never be seen again.
Not merely merely very very good, there's lots of those around.
He was instead very very unique & special.
Yet the pub was barely full & he couldn't get a record deal 🤔
Hence the band name.
Seemed like an injustice & difficult to comprehend.
Wish I'd had some spare money to try & help him to get a record deal. Seriously I would if I'd had some.
Alien drummer meets alien guitarist.. Clearly they communicate through the mothership which is how they find each other to make records..
I'm hearing tunes that are not 'Earth' and not on what was issued in the Pledge Music releases. Were these tracks lost?
Hi, is there any chance to hear the track "pirate of Fukuoka" one day ? It seemed to be one very interesting track of the album. Thanks
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if he would have liked the new Strandberg guitars??
Amazing music, did these tracks ever get released, anyone know ?
he actually stopped time to hit the not at 5:10 wow never seen that before
What happened to this music? It was never released as far as I know, anyone have a clue???
Too all the Waves GTR 'haters', look to the right of the screen at 0:14. Allan Holdsworth... ALLAN HOLDSWORTH (!!) has the Waves GTR up...
Did this music make it to a CD that I can purchase somewhere? Rest in peace, Mr. Holdsworth.
💚
Beautiful music, is the album available or never released?
