I always say structure is a gal’s best friend! I’m slim, but love wearing at least one structured item in my outfit, often a blazer. I have unlined linen ones for summer, too, not just wool ones. I also like the “lady jacket/cardigan”. l love wearing soft fabrics, but wearing all soft, loose items, knits, etc., doesn’t have enough sharpness, so I add those angles and straight lines with structured pieces, I don’t want to look like a marshmallow! I’m petite and love looking a bit taller, so I wear comfy, 2-inch, block heels a lot.
While it's not something I would do on a daily basis, it always astounds me how adding that 3rd layer can really style an outfit. (I do not work; I mostly stay at home, keep the house clean and do projects, and run errands. On the weekend we usually go out to our boat/boat dock for the weekend. I'm in Texas, and it gets HOT, so I usually wear shorts and tank tops or a shapeless casual sleeveless dress over my swimsuit. So my daily looks different.) I would absolutely add that 3rd layer for going out or other events.
Love the pale pink jacket on you
Thank you ☺️
I’ve already commented on your last look on Instagram Diana. I absolutely love it. The shape wear shows how much easier it can be to wear items that are unloved just by having the correct underwear. Great collaboration. Xx
So glad to hear it! Thank you for your feedback ☺️💙
Last style is nice. Blazer and leatherpants.
Great recommendations Diana. Ty!
Glad it was useful for you 😀
I love your channel ♥️
Useful advice👍
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
I’m so tired of telling women they need to look as tall and slim as possible to look their best.
@a: I hear you but I relate to the opposite, as was always taller and slimmer than most my age (and still am at age 76) however in discussions of fashion, my figure type is often referred to that of a mannequin by others and some going so far to say, I/we are not real people regardless that I/we still have challenges to look our best.
As I said its about enhancing the silhouette not looking skinny for those who are interested. If not, there are plenty of other videos on my channel about other ways to look your best 😀
Thank you for adding the models in this video. Nice to see different outfits on various model sizes.
You’re amazing! Thank you for throughly explaining and also mentioning other body figures and shapes… you’re awesome.
Thanks for being elegant and helpful.
Thank you for these words! So glad to hear my work is highly appreciated🙌☺️
Diana, You are the most stylish and informative lady when it comes to fashion( in my opinion) Thank you for all your great tips. ❤
Thank you so much!, Rosita! You’re always so supportive 💙
THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT TIPS!!!!
BEST WISHES!!!!
Thanks so much for adding a curvy model! So thoughtful! Read my mind!
pretty good video! I picked up a lot of tips; thank you!
Glad to hear it!
Love, love your blue top with white pants. Where did you get the blue top?
I would love to see you provide fashion advice to people who live in hot climates. Most of the year we can barely keep a t-shirt on, let alone a blazer, cardigan, or sweater.
I agree! a lightweight jacket works for me most of the year....on those rare years, about every 4-5 years, when we have snow measured in feet, not inches, I drag out the old cashmere coats, and pray the moths were deterred by the long gone moth balls!
Layering seems to be a major solution.
Not necessarily the only one but definitely very effective
My thoughts exactly!
Wonderful tips, particularly relating to undergarments how they can improve one's look.
Glad Ito hear !
Thank you, Diana 🙏🙏❤ you are God sent
Please do a video on how to style basics so they can look interesting without layering (it is very hot in Texas)🌺🌺🌺
I live in a VERY HOT state in the US. Is there a way to do this without all the layers? It's often 105 degrees in summer here.
I wear the second look at lot for work and would like to know what color shoes would you pair with the navy crop jacket and white slacks/shirt when not wearing the trainer? Nude pumps don’t seem to make sense. Would I go with black heels, red or another color?
Good one! Packed with so many useful tips and it really helped to see the styles on a curvier model too 👍
Love your style so much Diana… please do more (and less of the shorts 😅) where is your chunky cream jumper/sweater from?
Your best outfit in this video is the one you are wearing while you are speaking between the outfits you explain. The blue top is so cute! where is it from? Thanks 😊
I love your advice and I don’t want to be vulgar but I don’t know how one can visit the bathroom when your shapewear goes over your shoulders and you’re wearing a fitted dress. Do you have to remove your dress and then your shapewear?
There’s a gusset you can easily open and close, so no worries at all 👌
@@dianagoss thank you, that’s important information!
Thank you your advice and suggestions. I hope you don’t mind me making an observation.
With the black blazer/white trouser outfit there was also a difference in the way it was presented. The black jacket was worn without the sleeves pushed up, your arms were straight by your sides and with you standing full on to the camera without posing or tucking one hand into a pocket to break up the line. It would help if the before and after pictures could be presented in the same manner for a proper comparison.🙂
I find it impossible to not look fat and sloppy in loose pants. Straight legs are easier to style. I haven't bought into the lost body styling.
No way could I wear full-body shapewear, I’m allergic to the plastics used for these and would overheat instantly, too. I wear only silk underwear, socks and slips included. So long as no contrasting colors, seams or edges show, I don’t worry about my body’s softness and curves showing. Men don’t wear girdles to hold in their tummies, why should we?
Not sure anymore. Is it “trying” to be stylish or “being” stylish.
Bla bla bla, sorry for everybody but i really live in other planet.Be happy everybody ❤
So tired of trench coats. Qutfits need to stand on their own. Americans don't walk like Europeans. Summer clothes are in the stores.
Not everything in life is about Americans.
@@lilithowlAs an American I agree with you! ❤
The waistcoat is a great alternative to trench coat.
