It is good that Saffy is well used to terrible cold wet weather , getting lost , campsites being shut for the night , not sleeping etc ., or else she might of got upset and stopped giggling !
@stephenrowell9373, definitely! A tough spirit and a good sense of humor are essential for those unpredictable moments on the road. It’s all part of the adventure, right? 😄
Beacons? It is pronounced ban-aye bruch-ein-iog, with the ch making the same sound as in loch. We love the rain really .. it's what keeps it all so green here.
Saffy nothing stops you from having a great time you are a tough cookie . I seen lots of youtubers you find the sun in every weather your in . Other camping youtubers can learn alot from you Besafe Saffy !!!
Thank you for sharing this Saffy. Gives me a taste if what to expect when i go there in August. Haye on Wye is famous for its book festival. The saying is that the town has a book shop for every resident. I get the impression nothing stops you enjoying yourself.
What a beautiful ride!!! Either ride or leave in the garage. Screw the weather, can’t miss what you want to do in life because the weather does not wanna cooperate. Good rain gear and go!
So nice to see you back, love your attitude to adverse conditions and problems, maybe a B&B would be a good idea in future. Keep smiling that lovely smile.
Oh bless you! I know the feeling of not being on a road trip for a while! Brecon Beacons are stunning and I am currently planning a little solo trip there myself for next year. Brilliant video!
When you said about the wind, "whats the worst that can happen" I thought about Dorothy's house in wizard of OZ. Your tent & Saffy flying off in the wind. Glad your well and out and about.
Get a b&b next time. Speaking as a Welsh biker our roads are good but our weather is appalling. It's Hay on Wye by the way - the Wye rhymes with "Cry" which is what I'd be doing if I had to camp in that weather. Hope things pick up for you. North Wales was beautiful today. Massive turnout at Ponderosa (my local bike meet).
I learned many years ago to only buy waterproof boots. And not the the low ones but the higher, taller ones so rain does not run down and into them. I never find the any warmer in the summer than non-waterproof boot and they may only cost a tad more.
Hi Saffy, good to see your travel vlogs again. May I say with confidence from my own experience I have the answer to all your problems: 1, your propensity to ride in rain and thunderstorms, 2, your sore bum after a 100 miles or so, 3, your aching legs etc. The perfect answer? Move to the Costa Del Sol in Spain and by a BMW K75 bike. That has been my wonderful experience for the last 17 years. Spain is an absolute paradise for biking, with the added advantage of being in close proximity to other great locations (France, Spain and Morocco). And the bike? Just great for long distance cruising in comfort. The most comfortable seat I have ever come across on a bike, and a jewel of an engine that is virtually unburstable. Just got back from a 4 night trip to Merzouga in the Sahara desert in Morocco. Despite now being 36 years old, the bike never missed a beat. Fabulous.
Life was so much easier back in the seventies and eighties. Long gloves, Evald horsehide jacket and trousers (all of it always polished with plenty of leather grease) and a pair of lined wellies were all I needed back then. I never needed to dry anything. After days in the rain the ignition lock on my Moto Guzzi T3 850 gave up before my not "political correct" garments did. I had to change it to a Honda ignition lock. I'm sorry to see you are having those problems 😪 I'm glad to see how well you handle them 😊
I've just arrived back home after two solo days in south wales near Llandysul (and all the way back up the west coast and over the top on my way home!) One night in a tent, 14ish hours of riding, about 500 miles total. I also got rained on quite a lot but was still a great couple of days, amazing scenery and roads! Luckily no wind for me! I also had to put up my Lonerider ADV tent in the rain - You can put the outer shell on first, and clip the inner afterwards (keeping it dry). It's fidly and lots of crawling around, but it works! (You're in part my inspiration for my bike exploration so its great to come back home and see you having done something very similar quite recently! I decided to leave my camera's at home and just enjoy the weekend with my eyes and not worry about capturing too much stuff - I did capture a few photos though! Next time maybe!) Keep it up, you're amazing and certainly my inspiration to keep going! 🤩
Hi Saffy, great to see you back on the road again, Have you heard of the Three Second Tent...and no it's not a joke...it would make your life so much easier.
Im glad that Its not only me who gets setting tent up in the dark, rain and getting awful weather overnight on the first night in Wales 😆. In November I was there and managed to get to the campsite about 10 minutes prior to the management leaving for the night, and riding there at night was an experience, for sure! Speaking of bad weather- I can whole whole heartedly recomend getting a pair of waterproof socks. The riding boots, no matter wether they are marketed as waterproof or not, they tend to leak trough eventually in my experience, and the socks can keep your feet pretty dry.
Such a wonderfull video. As you also seem to pull out a weird satifaction steering a motorcycle through storm, rain and cold, you must have a screw loose. Apparently it´s treaded the same way as mine. Very happy to see you laugh away any discomfort! Cheers!
Brave woman Saffy, I love wales and recognise some of the roads you came down but the weather can be brutal, cant beat it in the sun though. Can i suggest Daytona roadstar boots expensive but dry feet, i ride profesionally in all weather, all year round and can recommend them. You wont have to dry them under the dryer.. Ive done that with my gloves many times :) RIde safe
Did my first “mini adventure” last year on these roads. Absolutely loved it. Thankfully I had some actual sun even in September! By the way, are your mirrors on the right way? Reason for it? Looks like left is on right and vice versa.
I am going to do the coast roads from chester and all around Wales finishing off back in Wolverhampton/Sedgley, i an retired so time means nothing, camping on the way around.
Why does it always rain on you...! It would be the most stunning trip elsewise, but you're not dampen, mostly blown dry. Oh to been in Sardinia again, you'd not brought that beautiful weather back. Stay safe. Cheers
You bike Ladies are amazing and so well organised. Many decades of bike rallies and camping under the belt. Us blokes equals tent sleeping bag roll mat beer or various alcoholic beverages and leather jacket as pillow . Sometimes only sleeping bag on bike in good weather , one of those old military type waterproof outer jobies with arms and hood which you can unravel and crash on embankments or many other places you shouldn't be having a kip. Wife passes her test then all of a sudden more stuff as two bikes can carry more, wake up in morning and cup of coffee or tea placed in hand and cooked food on the go.. There is a reason women are called our better half , what would we do without them.
Saffy Sprocket M.O. Leave for road trip behind schedule, Overextend oneself by trying to crunch too many miles. Get lost and cannot find campsite. Arrive exhausted, setup camp in dark and bad weather, get no real sleep, wake up groggy the next day. Rinse and repeat. If you're planning a ride on Wales or other locale with notoriously poor weather at least get a hotel or B&B so you can rest in comfort.
Don't take this the wrong way Saffy but should I bump into you on a campsite, country road, cafe, I will know I made some kind of mistake 🤣😂🤣 if it isn't bad luck you have none at all, how many mirrors did you break in the move 🌧⛈🌧🥶 Looking forward to the next instalment when the hurricane hits 🤣 PS love the night hat😘❤❤
Hi Saffy, Why do MotoVlogers visit the beautiful hills and valleys of Wales during the cold and rainy season? guess what kind of weather you are most likely to come across in April, try visiting mid May until September instead of booking a tkt abroad, there are so many places of interest open to the public from May to September across Wales, the scenic camp sites are amazing, Just remember, First Impressions Last Forever.
Another Saffy video - "I've got this new luggage that will be perfect for batteries and cables" This Saffy video - doesn't do that. Should we expect anything else? Not really. 😄

Only you could get the giggles when it's raining, soaked to the skin and pitch black, liking the ears on your headgear lol
Your laugh is infectious staffy 😂
I am sure its mostly being hit by a truck making you sore...but you are doing it!
You could be right .
Come to the “new” south Wales, in Australia!
You know what s depressing..watching this knowing i m working tomorrow with my Adventure bike in my back yard uuggggg

When did the GoPro manufacturers invent the self-cleaning rotating screen so as not to spoil such beautiful videos like this one in the rain?
Who is that on the thumbnail 🤩🤩🤩
all right folks. Who de f*ck is watching this video and not giving it a thumbs up? come on give me the names!

Your laugh in that situation probably is a cinematographic quote of Tom Hanks laughing attack in The Penny Grave, right? 😵💫 🤧

Im soaking wet hahaha u really got me laughing with ya aswell
😂😂😂😂 I aim to please
Would an air bnb be cheap and dry??
3:02 🤣
You really do put yourself through it don't you Saffy 🙁?
👋👋❤️🌹👍😎
Is it not tedious riding so slow everywhere?
Whatever speed you go at, you're still riding faster than the ones sat on the sofa :-)
WHY WHY WYE "Hay on Weir" ?????????
😂
Get some waterproof socks, no more wet feet.

I do question your life choices. Budget accommodation, budget food. You need to allow yourself some luxuries on these trips
Saffy is looking so hot in the thumbnail pic, it's fire 🔥🔥🔥😍🥰
Entertaining as always. You could have a great future as a government planner. I thought it was called brjnnshjh gghtrd now rather than Brecon Beacons

Lol Hay-on-Wye pronounced Why lol
Hi beautiful young lady you should get a pop-up tent it's quicker xx
but packs to usually a half metre diameter circle.
It's Wye , pronounced 'why'
