One of my go to roads when ive got a couple of hours. Some lovely roads around there. Where you turned off onto the B4407, if you had stayed straight on, that is an equally awesome road that leads onto another equally awesome road
My best biking memory, is travelling the B4407 when an Osprey came from nowhere, and flew just a couple of feet from my bars at head height for a good mile or so
Stunning road - one of my favourites! 6:24 - Nope that is not Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) - that would probably be one of the hills of the Denbigh Moors, outside Snowdonia (Eryri) :)
The B4574 leading on to cycle rte 81 Is better I'd say personally but depends on the type of bike....so many good roads around mid to north Wales...Great video.
Ffestiniog to Bewts-y Coed has to be one of the best riding roads in North Wales, more specifically about four to five bonkers corners towards the end of the run. Very wide road so loads of space to let the bike run wide as you fire it out of the corner still leaned right over, flick the bike over into the next apex and repeat.
The road you turned off (B4391) is a personal favourite. The A483 from Newtown to Crossgates is a spectacular biking road, with a decent cafe and a filling station at Crossgates.
A483 a menace for speed cameras and a bit boring , so many much nicer roads in areas , I live in this area & know the roads better than most , we out everyday riding . Llanberis pass a great road .. 👍
@@AndyOwen-b3t Llanberis pass (top to bottom)then over the Electric Mountain and along the Ogwen Valley then past Mount Tryfan at the head of the valley and to Capel Curig is the most amazing loop - then do it the other way, both ways are absolutely fantastic.
Did the road both ways at the weekend. It is indeed a good ride, with good clean tarmac. I continued cross the A5 heading to Denbigh, another great road a little less challenging.
It's not Snowdon, Snowdon was behind your left shoulder about 20 miles away (you cant see it from where you were). Don't go telling many people about this road now, it's one of my favourites because it's generally quiet 😉
As a Welsh biker resident in North Wales..If you think that's a good road you want to try the A4059 turn off from the A4070 ..that's the best bit of road in Wales 🏴🏍
Technically you were outside of the national park at the beginning of your video but further along the B4407 at the turning for Penmachno you were inside it. Anyone visiting please watch out for sheep as they do roam free and often lie on the roads over the moors hence the cattle grids.. and hitting one at 80 would be quite messy.
Then onto Festiniog and then down into Betws and upto the Llanberis pass (top to bottom)then over the Electric Mountain and along the Ogwen Valley then past Mount Tryfan at the head of the valley and to Capel Curig is the most amazing loop....wow - what aride.
I laughed when you were saying how clear it is. The sheep own that road. 😂😂😂 The other comments are correct. Yr Wyddfa isn’t what you were looking at. But hey! It’s a great view. Did you do the ride up from Penmachno to the well ?
Typical Biker! "Can do Will do over the reasonable speed limits", definitely not a Royal Enfield rider? needs a bigger powered bike, to vroom all over! (see I will do over 80?) ok hardly any oncoming cars BUT. Nice vid though, empty roads good, not the A470, nice one.
What a spectacular view. Maybe... One day... I'll see it for myself.

That's for next time then

Nice ride over the A5 to that area. Also the road out of Ffestiniog over the tops is a great scenic ride. So many to choose from in snowdonia
Not been down there for ages, it is a cracking road! Thanks :)

We did that route too, I haven't downloaded the footage yet.

Fantastic road, been along it more times than I care to think of. The B4407 is the Best kept secret around.
If you think the 4407 is good try the 4391 - Llangynog to Bala as main, Arenig to Ffestiniog for pudding.
@@joemerican5781 done the 4391, I only live 20 mins from Wales, so I go there a lot.
Thanks for taking us with you on this ride, lovely fair play buddy

The road you started on b4391? Happens to be one of my faves.

You should try the B4406 which is just off that road to the left. It’s the same sort of road but with much better scenery.
soon to have a speed cameras on it then!
Most likely. Although I guess so long as it's an accident free road it'd be hard for them to justify ugly yellow cameras in a national park.
It won’t get fixed cameras and they’re usually tied up sorting out the numpties on the main roads ( we lost 89 bikers here last year )
B4391 for me, all day long. 👍

yeah the sheep got us just before the cyclist LOL

I like a road that tests the suspension 🙂
Why is it not 20mph - then you will have time to savor it! 😊
Oh man the 20s coming through Harlech were an absolute pain
FOOL !! you may wish to edit this vid - 5:38 shows you to be doing 90mph, which is a serious nick for this road
So what
Sorry buddy,
It might be your best road.
But I and a lot of others know quite a few better rides in Wales, it comes from living there.
7:10: "no danger of anyone pulling out..." mate - THAT is niaive in the extreme.............
There are some real negative comments on here ffs
A friend told me the best road in Wales was the road out ! 😁
77 mph on a 60 or 50 mph road ???!
Dont watch you hissy

I thought the 'best' road in Wales was the one marked 'Exit' (no rain this way)? LOL
😅😅😅
Shouldn’t you have put the slower rider in front as they can try and keep up with you and get themselves into trouble??
On a normal group ride, yeah the slowest rider goes in position 2, but in this case she was in position 3 of 4, we agreed the order for us beforehand.
Do you dislike cyclists and the national speed limit is 60 mph.
Yes, can't stand the sanctimonious twats.
And the national speed limit is whatever I can get away with 😂
No I hate inconsiderate cyclists and the speed limit is there tobe broken In my opinion where it’s safe
Why are they a "bloody cyclist"?
😅it's just a phrase, he was there at the same time as the bloody sheep😅
Because they are a bloody nuisance.

@raymondo162 Good word "prig".

The road surface on this B road is better than any A, B road or pavement in Cardiff City centre "pothole" capital of Wales.....
