I had to stop and go listen to “Ultimate T-Rex Violence” because just your description and the title alone I knew it would be awesome. And it was. Good list, some stuff I haven’t listened to yet that I definitely will have to check out.
@@theheavymetaljournal I started by adding all of them to my Apple Music to systematically work through them. So far I've enjoyed Kardashev's Liminal Rite (unaware of them), Tersivel's To The Orphic Void (somewhat familiar with the band but not this release) and The Devil's Of Loundon's Escaping Eternity (was unfamiliar with the band). Thanks again for this deep dive of 2022. I've got some listening to do🤟😀
I've definitely been slacking on albums this year. Last year I heard an absurd amount, but for some reason less albums clicked with me this time around. I'll probably do a top 10 death metal albums for 2022 at some point.
Been distracted by the war in Ukraine for the most part of the year - couldn't really follow the scene that closely - it's amazing how many GREAT albums I've missed this year and how closely my taste in music overlaps yours. You're a legend, bringing this treasure to my ears (and it isn't top 30 yet)!. Greetings from Poland
When I stumbled on this video I thought I recognised the person... Followed your writings on Twitter for a little while now. This list was interesting as quite a few obscure releases shown, Tersivel was completely new to me and it's fantastic so you've done me a solid there already. Korn was my gateway band when I was a kid but now I just can't listen to their new music. Still great to see live though. 🤘
WTF??? Girl, these are TOP obscure albums!!! The bands have a total of 200-2000 listeners per month on Spotify on planet Earth and rightly so!!! Several tenants live in a single block in some neighborhood...👎👎👎👎👎
This is the most ridiculous comment. You make absolutely no sense. I listen to every Thrash Metal album you can possibly find and lots of it 90% of people who listen to Thrash Metal don't even know because they listen to overrated poser bands. I bet this woman listens to better music than whatever you are complaining about.
I like this tbh. I'm not much different. I have a style of metal I really like a lot, (dissonant/avant garde metal) and heard most of the more well known ones, so kept searching and found several lesser known bands that were really solid. Always good to see lesser known bands get a bit of exposure.
I'm glad you broke it down in chunks. Most people blow through the higher ups on the list instead of getting into them

I love your list so far, I'm a sucker for great metal art as well. 😀🤘
Thanks for this! This is a great way to discover albums that flew under my radar! 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Which albums did you pick up? I have a new video going up tomorrow with a few more recommendations from the recent new releases 😁

Great start! Bang on about the Burned in Effigy album; love it.

Love Kardashev! Cellar of ghosts is my favorite song. they are in fact telling a story, they explain it more on their channel.
Tersivel - To The Orphic Void is on repeat!!!! thanks for the find!!
No problem! I'm glad you found something new!
Stormruler is really outstanding. Looking forward to the rest of your list.

Lots of fuel for doing chores this weekend
Feel free to binge watch, I don't mind 😂
I have same problem. I can relate
Great video really interesting. I have a question, your coffee cup started full and ended empty but you didn't drink any of it. Are you a witch?

Revocation's new album is there best album 😃😃

I'm not sure what your point is here?
