Congratulations, girl. I’m blown away by how hard you’ve worked and continue to. Your loved ones must be so proud!! I pray my loved one takes his recovery as seriously someday. ❤
I have about the same amount of clean and sober time. I wasn't paying attention to dates. I had only been taking a few drinks a year which is supposed to be impossible to an addict without becoming full blown. But I don't like alcohol. It makes me sick easily. I have not used any other drug since 1995. I was on benzos and got high off of them once. I mostly took them as prescribed. I got off benzos a few years ago. I don't think they were still helping. I understand what you're saying about your illness being the reason to why you're in recovery. I came in the program originally at age 17 and my bottom was the onset of schizo affected bi polar. I was confused in the program because I had not used as much or hit bottoms as low as others. But everyone was welcoming and not one ever told me to quit the medication. They'd all said I was definitely an addict. I haven't been to a meeting in years and I still want to use just about every day. I've become one of those persons for unknown or known reasons have an aversion to AA and NA. I do think being small town NA was better for my potential success than NA in a large area. I got close to people when I was going.
@@WWS322 wow our stories are so similar! That was absolutely my bottom too. I didn’t think it was low enough of a bottom cuz I didn’t lose everything, but someone pointed out to me that losing your mind is a pretty low bottom. Congrats on your clean time as well, you’ve certainly had quite the journey!
Congratulations 🎊 you continue to be such a positive inspiration to me and others. Your experience and knowledge continues to help so many. 👏👏👏
