Have Jarrod on again! He has the absolute best commentary!!! Jolly good and lots of chuckles plus excellent explanation. His approach is not arrogant, and extremely helpful with direction!
Well, I did it! Couldn't emulate your carving to a 'T', but I did use thicker bass wood. Loved this tutorial! Got me wanting to do more flat plane carving. Many many thanks!
Awesome job!!! I understand about going overboard sometimes. I like the cutting sensation of the knife going through the wood, so sometimes I take too much wood off😅.
Jarrod. Just rewatched this vid and it it got me wondering if you strop this kind of knife with a bit of a convexity so as to get smoother dipped rounded cuts? Rather than a dead flat apex which can tare and drag the wood as you hollow cuts out. ATB. Pete.

That was by far my favorite show to date 😊
Thanks
I loved this. I’ll be watching this again with a block of wood in my hand. Great job and thanks guys.

This was excellent!😀
Super cool stuff! This will expand how I do my flatplane carvings for sure.
Thanks guys.

Be cool if you had a couple carvers do a speed carving and painting head to head contest
They do that live at some of the carving shows. I know Charlotte does one and they are doing one in Colorado Springs this year in September.
Your work is fabulous. I would love to make a purchase but cannot find you in Etsy anymore. Does anyone have a recommendation?
awesome
Is that great list of classes and websites mentioned in the beginning listed on the web somewhere?
You can find most of it at www.woodcarvingacademy.com under the workshops tab.
can I ask what size wood did you start with?
You can find Jarrod's pattern in the Community section of our UA-cam channel.
What type of WOOD???
