Hi Tony - I always appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos and thanks for your comment. Best wishes with teaching during your new school year! Mike
Great video highlighting your motive power. Very nice job on the weathering for each locomotive. The video also showcases your fantastic layout. Thanks for posting. -Tom
Amazing looking trains, great weathering. I would like to have seen more of each consist, most stopped before the rolling stick entered the frame. Very entertaining though. Thanks. 😉
What a treat! Your videos always give me my Rock Island fix. All of the consists look great and are weathered just right. I don't model R.I. but the yellow and red paint scheme is my all-time favorite. It's because of this I currently have 3 or 4 units to run on my layout just because.
I'm glad that I was able to provide you with your "Rock Island fix". I, too, really like the yellow and red scheme ......... very eye-catching. Thank you for watching and for your comments. Mike
Yes sir, Vincent ....... I really like the SP and Cotton Belt. It was common to see SP locomotives on Rock Island freight trains in the late 60's and 70's. Thank you for watching! Mike
In the land of oz I think you are the wizard I really love the layout mate .no matter what u run on it it really is true the locos are the actors on your stage . Any chance of some steam ??? One day
Mike,, nice as always! I noticed the Milwaukee power, is that new? Still waiting for the Soo to show up……. I running ops on my layout this weekend after the temple train show,, I hope mr Murphy and his bunch of gremlins stay away! Later
Hi Wyatt - Good to hear from you. I acquired the Milwaukee power a few months ago. Good luck with your ops session and thanks for watching the video. Mike
Hi Mike, Love your videos. Are those C-430 Centuries some of the ones that were ordered but never delivered? They look good in that scheme! :-) Best, Andy K
Hi Andy - Yes, it is alleged that the Rock Island placed an order for 10 of the C430 locomotives but the order was never fulfilled. I appreciate your comments! FYI, here is a link to a video I made of the C430s operating on my layout: ua-cam.com/video/3xvAusiAnyU/v-deo.html Thanks for watching. Mike
From: SouKan Angling i love seeing the different locomotives and the weathering that you have done to them. It's interesting to see how the engines become stained by the elements. Especially this time of year when the grasshoppers, spiders and cicadas create a black smear on the pilot sheets, snow plows and safety appliances. railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=318598
SouKan Angling: For some reason your comment did not show up on this thread; therefore, I copied/pasted your comment as noted above. I appreciate your comments and I really like the photo you attached of E6 628 at Amarillo, TX. You're right, the front of locomotives take a pretty good splattering from all the insects and elements. Thank you for watching! Mike
The train you showed in 3:36 looks very futuristic and streamlined!
You have quite the collection of motive power. Sure brings back memories of watching the RI leave or come into Des Moines.
Thanks for watching the video and I appreciate your comments. Mike
Hello Mike! Very enjoyable to watching and gets me fired up to work on some projects on my own layout this fall. Thanks so much for sharing! Tony
