If you do it the long method/ traditional way, the collagen from boiling the broth together with meat/bone in long period of time (my aunt adds duck meat on the broth and chicken feet/ pork skin or more collagen/ jello texture after cooling) will produce the gelatin soup❤
Te recomiendo hacer el caldo casero con muchos huesos y cartilagos de pollo, la gelatinizacion se va a producir sola debido al colágeno y tendrá un sabor más que impresionante!

They look delicious..While not exactly the same thing & Uses no gelatin,, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dim Sum (Translates to "Touch The Heart) Which are/can be made with a combination of meats/veggies,, Like Chicken,, Pork,, Beef,, Seafood,, Etc..I make my dipping sauce with a combination of both Minced Garlic & Ginger,, Some Soy,, Teriyaki,, Hosin sauces & A small dash of Oyster sauce.. Sometimes when i'm wanting a bit of spice,, I will add some General Tso's or Sweet Thai Chili sauces to it...This sauce is great on many other dishes including Egg Rolls,, Crab Rangoon,, Etc...TRUST ME when I say that,, This sauce is a one way ticket to Yummsville!! 👀👅❤
ohh, i really love soup dumplings and am thinking of making my own. you mentioned the pork ones were juicier, and I couldn't help but notice you didn't add any liquid seasoning to your filling. I know the soup is already liquid, but we usually add soy sauce, shaoxing wine, sesame oil, etc to dumpling filling so that the meat doesn't dry out. it helps to have some liquid directly incorporated into the meat like that. also, if you add cabbage or any other vegetable that has high water content, you should leech out the water first by salting it and letting it sit, or else the water will dilute the flavor while cooking. anyway, good job with the dumplings, keep up the good work!!
It was only one batch with a certain expiration date. One of the employees at the factory dropped a lid from a marker somewhere during the making process and people complained about hard plastic in them. It was isolated.

Next time, try reducing the existing broth to concentrate the amount of collagen within. This will act as a natural gelatin and increase the amount of flavour in your soup. A bit more time consuming but definitely worth it ❤️❤️
Probably won't work well with typical broth, especially the store-bought kind. You'd need way too much. See, in the traditional recipe, they use pork bone stock and there's plenty of collagen.
That looks so freaking good!! If you have the time, if you make chicken broth and leave the bones in the broth overnight, it will naturally become gelatinous
Try using cottage cheese (paneer) as a substitute for meat sometimes, its delicious. I use it as a meat substitute in a lot of meals on days i dont eat meat
