1. Find your style (360 all the time, or slow motion for example)
2. Select your shots, think about how you want to shoot and utilize the footage first, and stay steady
3. Bridge the gap (what’s the story in your travel vlog?)
4. What will save you the most time: use a timer in editing your videos!

This was super motivating. I love capturing the small every day moments while I'm traveling. I think there's something really beautiful about it, and it makes me happy that I can share those moments through my footage with people, and maybe even inspire them to travel to a place so they can experience what I saw

I just quit my job as analyst at a bank. I spent the last 10 years there while making some extra money on the side as a local musician. Now I'm moving to Thailand in two months. I enjoy the beauty of any creative process; whether it's song writing, drawing, catching a good photo, or video editing. My goal is to make creativity my life. I hope that some day I can make a career out of putting together moments that can touch people's emotions.

I’m doing this to share the stories behind my images and build a community of like minded creatives. You need to make more videos man, I've learnt so much from you. I'm going on a trip soon and will apply the principles I have learnt from you and hopefully come up with something decent.
I honestly just want to capture time as it is. I love taking small video clips daily of just random stuff. Whether it's friends chatting on the couch, or just my empty apartment, things change so much and I would like to look back. Same with my travels, I want to remember everything and see and hear my friends and loved ones!

Dude, i really like how you talk all about these psychological stuff like being confident and relaxed rather than going pure technical. I think this is the first step to really get someone doing such a cool thing like video editing. Can't wait for my ski trip to France and capture some moments, tho i only have a gopro 6.
It's always interesting to have not only pictures from a trip, but something more. When you have tons of random videos, it's boring to watch them. But when you have 2-3 mins of a selected content - it brings you back to the trip and it's a really good memories. That's why I try to make such travel videos :)

I create travel videos as my own virtual diary. I have my written diary with my thoughts, feelings and memories while my travel videos help me really reply and relive those moments. The two combined will help me never forget how lucky I am
Motivation for me: beeing able to see all amazing memories of my trip in a short and simple way (rather than having a thousand photos on ly computer that I never check out)
I went to Cuba back in February, and I recorded hours worth of footage while I was there. I still haven't gotten around to editing a lot though because I feel so overwhelmed with how much footage I have. I'm going to try the "Use a timer" technique, and see if that helps me get through it. Wish me luck! -Michael

I love to do this because I want to inspire people to travel. Coz traveling is the best education you can get & It teaches you the way of life. Each place has a different culture and each person has a story to tell.

Hey, so I'm just on a trip and I need your help!
After making a few videos I have figured that my films need way more faces. But the problem is should I film myself or just random people around me? Both is not that great I think because if you have a lot of random people you can't really tell a story that's going to be Interessent the whole video but I also have no camera man to film me and the dudes I travel with are not that interested in film so any Tipps?

Thanks for the tips, it really helps. I just finished filming my very first travel video and I was very shy and awkward on the videos that I took shots of the surroundings more than myself. What makes me want to start making travel video is that I have always been not confident enough with myself on making decision in my life without doubting myself so I've decided to start pushing my limits these days to do something that I always thought about wanting to do but was too afraid to do , I hope in a few more videos coming up from my channel I can see myself growing better to be more confident with myself and not afraid of accepting challenges to improve myself .

A Go Pro is great for travel videos, it's small & portable, water proof, and good quality!!
I use a canon g7x!! Not waterproof but gives a ton of flexibility on the shots you want to get with the settings. And small and compact to carry around. Plus it has a viewfinder!
My motivation = partly mid-life crisis but mostly my passion for walking in London, and a desire to capture that, as you said in your previous video, with some form of purpose. I am a total noob but loving your advice and guidance.

DaVinci Resolve it’s really powerfull and there is a free version which has all the features you need unless you want to do really advanced stuff

I am an illustrator who had the chance to take two back-to-back trips. Not only did these trips helped me, but they also influenced my art. I want to be able to encourage other artists bogged down by everyday life to get out once in a while and enjoy their surroundings. There's just too little time in this world to look at the world with the same cloudy mindset.
Going cross country and heading to the Caribbean was the best refresher to date.
