On my first ever play through of Skyrim I wondered across Cisero transporting the Night Mother’s coffin and a wheel had broken on his little wagon beside a farm outside Whiterun. I still remember this random encounter years later because of how innocent, unique, and sinister it was. “Please won’t you help me?” Said the strange jester. “I’m just taking my mother to our new home. I'd love if in Tes:VI there was a quest where some dude tells you "Hey people have heard strange noices from here, it's most likely nothing." And instead of it being some massive hoard of enemies, it is just that. Nothing. You leave thinking, "oh whatever was in there is outside waiting for me." But no nothing. You think it'll come back sooner or later... but it doesn't... ...however sometimes it almost feels as if it did...
well i always went with the stormcloak.. it took me like 5 playthroughs of the intro till i realized the other door and that there is the imperial guy and that you could choose one of the sides by the doors you take.. pretty cool.. but now i don't really care so much anymore.. but there is this exploit in the keep.. when you go with the stormcloak you kill the 2 imperials and take the key from them before him.. then he stands at the door saying you found a key? but he is essential and never turns hostile so you can just not open the door, sneak and level up onehanded, sneak and destruction on him as you want.. sneak to 100 in like 5 minutes or so.. it's a bethesda game when you can leave the first dungeon having done not even the intro yet and be like level 50 or something.. xD
My first time playing I didn’t know I could follow the imperials. Took me 5 game plays to finally realize I could follow the imperials, but I only followed them 1.
This is one thing I found that was pretty interesting. From what I've seen on Google I'm the first to find it too. So, when you go to the Dawnstar museum where you start the quest to get Mehrunes Dagon's dagger, there will be what appears to be a torn up piece of paper. If you put about 40 points worth of magicka into it using sparks, flames, or frostbite, it will turn the piece of paper into a bucket. Yes, that's right, a bucket.
I vaguely remember there being a way of turning various items into I think a bucket? It was either an anti crash thing or a dev thing, I can't remember
I actually knew about the one where you stop the necromancers summoning potema. I did it in one of my first playthroughs and do it everytime now. By far the most fun way to clear that dungeon.
Fury & Frenzy are a great way to go as well. Just cast it at the necros up there and let them kill each other. The main ritualist isn't particularly strong and they'll rip her apart.
Here's a one that's not been mentioned yet: In one or two black books, there's a puzzle section where you take damage if you enter the shadows, and have to stay under these floating moving light sources in order to not die. But you don't _need_ to use those light sources; player-made light works just as well. The novice-level alteration spell Candlelight makes the whole section _laughably_ easy. Magelight works as well, and I haven't tested torches but I assume they're equally effective.
You can also tell Maven about Sibbi's little deal, she'll tell you it's fine and that she'll take care of the issue later... ...in a random encounter you'll come across letrush's dead body, with a dead bandit nearby that has a bounty on it from Maven
I’ve done countless playthroughs of Skyrim and I just recently learned you can disguise yourself as a thalmor using their armor if you are a high elf during the main story thalmor embassy stealth quest.
There are other methods involving becoming a vampire and getting certain perks. Bummer is the spell absorption tends to absorb your conjuration spells.
Yup. I seem to remember seeing another bandit journal talking about them at a third location, too. Those two bandits are about the most hardluck duo in the game. I wish Eisa was recruitable. For one, she's about the tallest character in the game next to Tsun.
@@samsonguy10k I think that other location is Lost Knife Hideout. I'm sure one of the journals in the Pale Lady quest mentions them originally being members of the Lost Knife bandit gang.
Did you know if kill harkon (I don’t know if this works with the Dawnguard) you can return to valerica you can tell her that you killed him and she will come back and she will replant some plants in the courtyard.
the game literally tells you to do that if you pay attention to the dialogue... I STG this is like Emrys paying you for completing quest objectives during a Forsworn Consiracy quest all over again... Just listen to the dialogue, or turn on subtitles and read as you skip it... FML...

I don’t know if you’ve covered this but in a random world encounter, where a thief comes up to you and asks for your stuff, you can respond with “I thought a nightingale would be treated with more respect” or something of that nature if wielding the nightingale blade. This was shown in Verdict of Odin’s January 2019 Load Order video. (Although he does have the nightingale forever mod, I think that’s what it’s called, so that could be the reason for this)
I think you already mentioned it... But... If not... Did you know, that there is a Black Sacrament Ritual in the Basement of the House owned by the Black-Briar in the Town of Rifton... Behind a Master Locked door...
A thing to note about the Spell Absorbtion strategy, is that if you are a vampire, and have necromage perk, all you need for 100% is the Atronach Stone blessing and the Atronach perk. BOOM! You are a completely fire immune vampire, in possibly a full set of Daedric armor. Down side to this is that you cannot use summon spells, because the absorbtion also absorbs those.
Not sure if you covered this yet But I just realized something When you have finished up the dark brotherhood Questline And have the sanctuary all nice fully equipped in dawnstar There is the torture chamber When you talk to the people there, or, more efficiently, use some means to drop their hp but NOT kill them, they ALL tell you about some hidden treasure, every one a different one
Did you know on the mission that you have to frame brand shei if you kill the guard when he is getting took to jail brand shei and the guard disappears(i was hidden btw).
You can meet Cicero before the dark brotherhood quest line and help him fix a wheel for carrying the night mother. Just tried to kill him. He's essential...
the one thing i notice you didn't cover over the 18 parts. if you meet up with a courier who says he is busy and has no time to talk and kill him, you find he carries interesting letters pointing to treasures or misc quests
I hate couriers. My assassin is always just finished killing any potential witnesses to his existence when an immortal courier shows up to give me an inheritance for the person I am disposing of in the river.

7:00 I actually learned about this one a few days back when I was taking pot shots because I was bored and ended up killing the leader after I realized the arrow actually reached him, and then I accidentally rolled off the ledge and killed myself making the whole thing pointless.
You can also tell Maven about the plot to steal Frost. Not only does it stop her from sending bandits and such later, she actually tells you to go ahead, and that she'll deal with the idiot who's buying Frost once he has to horse. I've done that several times now, and it's always funny.
In regards to the quest Promises To Keep, you can also tell Maven about what you’re doing after talking with Sibbi. She’ll then tell you to go along with Louis for now and she’ll deal with him later. And then a random encounter will become available with a hired thug attacking Louis saying “Maven says “hello”.” I know this because I done it and seen the encounter.
I was gonna say... I am playing for the first time, I have no affiliations yet other than being thane in multiple holds & the Arch Mage of the college. I went to Maven & she told me to go through with the plan. I now have Frost & I see Louis every time I am at Whiterun Stables, just standing there.
I'm not sure about whether you have covered this before or not, or if anyone has commented this, but if you pickpocket Falk Firebeard before doing the second part of "The man who cried wolf," you can find the letter he sends to you via courier in his pocket, directed for you, whether you have started the mission, or did not. He is just carrying a letter addressed to your character about it from "world spawn" until he sends it to you via courier.
Idk how you still kept finding new stuff on this game. It baffles me that 7 years on you still bring up stuff I didn't know, even though I put many hours into the game myself. Congratulations and I wish you continued success, your videos are great. Cheers!
One time during the seige on whiterun, one of my two kids (the girl) went missing after the battle. I didn't see her for weeks of real life play, but the boy was still there. I assumed it was a feature your kids could die in the seige Then one day, she shows back up and acts like nothing happened. "Young lady, you have been gone for over a year. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?"
I was playing Rune Factory 4 the other day and I spoke to a random soldier who said "dungeon crawling? I'd love to go but I took an arrow to the knee a couple years ago so..." I thought this was a clever reference on the developer's part and made me chuckle. Maybe you could use this at some point Nate. I hope this might help you. Stay cool.
I just had a funny encounter/glitch while playing. I didn’t return the Helm of Winterhold to Jarl Korir before I finished the Civil war quest fighting for the imperials and the quest is still there, but he’s be driven out and you can’t give him the helm anymore. He’s living in Windhelm and you have to break into the home to see him. I love watching your videos because I get to still see new dialogue and then sometimes have clues on new ways to play!
I started a new character a couple weeks ago, and thought it would be funny to try to sling fireballs at the Potema summoning ritual from the entrance he shows in the video, and I actually managed to wipe out 80% of the enemies on the map without any of them being able to reach me. Needless to say, I had the quest completed long before I even reached the top of the ritual tower.
He might also be the warrior entombed at Hamvir's Rest, as you can find the headless horseman going there. He might also be multiple characters, all those who lost their head during glorious battle in Skyrim. Different ones each night.
Yeah I've seen him 3 times. Each in a different playthrough. Once I saw him on my way to Ivarstead. Another time I saw him on my way out of Falkreath to do something. Most recently, I saw him on my way to Rorikstead.
He's the spirit of the guy buried at Hamvir's Rest. He always goes back there, and is essentially leading you to that spot. If you meet him just before dawn and give chase until the sun rises he'll disappear lamenting the early end of the game/chase. At Hamvir's Rest there's always an enchanted helmet waiting, which suggests that it belonged to the Headless Horseman.

Not sure if you have already said this, but during Thieves guilds special mission in Windhelm, (where you take care of rival guild), you can burn their banner which causes Delvin to say something like this "it was a nice touch to burn their banner, that will teach them not to mess with us."
A unique glitch with the spell absorb is you can accidentally absorb one of the apprentice’s spells at the college of winterhold. Therein makinging her quest incompletable. Watch out for that. You cannot make her a follower if this happens. She’s the Dunmer apprentice.
There is something else too- if you bring about what's going on with the horse to maven directly, she'll tell you go through with it and (that no matter what you decide) once you are done, she'll find a way to settle the score with louis.
He repeats a lot and pads videos with overlong intros. You can just fast forward through the first 45 sec in everry vid and about 2 min on a repeated fact. Makes it watchable.
Also with that last quest if you're in the thieves guild you can also go to Maven and tell her about the plan to steal Frost. She reveals that she and Louie have a past together and she'll give you the go ahead to continue with the plan, saying she will be watching what happens.
Maven also has unique dialogue for promises to keep If you have started promises to keep and have talked to sibbi In the thieves guild quest where you meet with maven to put honningbrew Meadery out of business she says something along the lines of “Go ahead, is like yo see how far he gets with this little scheme ”
@@shazzeler_hamlet it's a great game imo. I played it in 2018 so I'm not blinded by nostalgia. At first I got a little overwhelmed by it because of how different it was but I grew to love it. You can make graphics a little better with graphic extender mod. You should also download the code patch and patch all the bugs and all. The combat system isn't like skyrim or oblivion where every strike hits so you have to be careful at character creation. After talking to Sibi in the jail, you can go to Maven and tell her about the stealing of Frost. She will then give you permission to proceed as planned and sort it out later with Louis.
In the quest to steal Frost (the horse) you can also report the matter to Maven herself. I forgot what exactly she says but I think she thanks you for telling her the plan.

Yeah, part of the story is that the pass used to cross the Jerall Mountains was blocked off by an avalanche, preventing actual trained Legion cohorts from entering Skyrim. Tullius has been fighting with green local recruits, essentially farm boys. It's suggested by the game in a note that once the snows clear, which canonically will happen after the events of Skyrim, that Ulfric is completely boned.
I think the Empire is a lot like the Roman Empire in real life, the Empire has become so big that their troops have become spread thin. They only sent one legion to deal with the Stormcloak menace because they felt that would be enough to deal with the threat and didn't want to leave other parts of the Empire unprotected. Killing the Emperor however would cause the entirety of the Imperial forces to move on Skyrim. The avalanche is of small significance because they could send troops by sea if they really wanted to. Solitude is a coastal city afterall.
The absorb spells perk can also absorb your own spells. The amount of times I've been close to death and try to summon a daedra and i absorb my own spell

I'd love if in Tes:VI there was a quest where some dude tells you "Hey people have heard strange noices from here, it's most likely nothing."
And instead of it being some massive hoard of enemies, it is just that. Nothing.
You leave thinking, "oh whatever was in there is outside waiting for me."
But no nothing. You think it'll come back sooner or later... but it doesn't...
...however sometimes it almost feels as if it did...
Honestly, nothing is the scariest thing there is.
Just to emphasize the tenseness, have a rock/pebble drop or the sound of it and what might be footsteps. But nothing is to be found.
I want to meet you in real life and shake your hand
Genius
Have reports still coming about it be a random occurrence, importantly not from the same person. You can keep checking, still not finding anything.
Or it's just some lycan that just snores loudly. You can't kill him or anything. He just apologizes and says he'll find a new cave
For my first couple of playthroughs of Skyrim I didn't know I could escape Helgen with the Stormcloaks......I feel like such a fool now.
I was always wondering why I couldnt help the stormcloak in my later playthroughs until my 6th
well i always went with the stormcloak.. it took me like 5 playthroughs of the intro till i realized the other door and that there is the imperial guy and that you could choose one of the sides by the doors you take.. pretty cool..
but now i don't really care so much anymore.. but there is this exploit in the keep.. when you go with the stormcloak you kill the 2 imperials and take the key from them before him.. then he stands at the door saying you found a key? but he is essential and never turns hostile so you can just not open the door, sneak and level up onehanded, sneak and destruction on him as you want.. sneak to 100 in like 5 minutes or so.. it's a bethesda game when you can leave the first dungeon having done not even the intro yet and be like level 50 or something.. xD
Don’t worry neither did I
SAME
My first time playing I didn’t know I could follow the imperials.
There's no way to pick it up at all, though?
I've known about this there are a few videos of it that have been out for years weird you couldn't find anything!
Gets staggered, and is about to die

I'm still waiting for the day you'll say Skyrim is a "flabbergastingly sized game"
Yes
Skyrim has large tracts of land.
Skyrim is not light on landmass
The total square footage of the land known as Skyrim is in no way minuscule.
Hello brother
Here's a one that's not been mentioned yet: In one or two black books, there's a puzzle section where you take damage if you enter the shadows, and have to stay under these floating moving light sources in order to not die. But you don't _need_ to use those light sources; player-made light works just as well. The novice-level alteration spell Candlelight makes the whole section _laughably_ easy. Magelight works as well, and I haven't tested torches but I assume they're equally effective.
Torches work, I've used them before.
how is that a secret.....?
A lantern from the wearable lantern mod works well. I like having both hands free for spell casting
Really? I guess it's a Test to see find your smart enough to figure it out
Laughably easy, unless you're past a certain level, in which case there's a final Lurker Sentinel (or something similar) that is massively strong
5:49 So basically... We have to roleplay as Miraak in order to be immune to all magic attacks.
No, you simply need to wear his armor

2024 and still playing Skyrim so I still enjoy these videos

But I just realized something
When you have finished up the dark brotherhood Questline
And have the sanctuary all nice fully equipped in dawnstar
There is the torture chamber
When you talk to the people there, or, more efficiently, use some means to drop their hp but NOT kill them, they ALL tell you about some hidden treasure, every one a different one

I am truly amazed that Nate has so many of these videos. Skyrim is insane with quests and easter eggs.
You can also tell Maven about the plot to steal Frost. Not only does it stop her from sending bandits and such later, she actually tells you to go ahead, and that she'll deal with the idiot who's buying Frost once he has to horse. I've done that several times now, and it's always funny.
“Maven says hello”

Has any one been across a headless horse man ghost
Killer Whale yeah, there is a theory that he is Ragnar the Red
He might also be the warrior entombed at Hamvir's Rest, as you can find the headless horseman going there. He might also be multiple characters, all those who lost their head during glorious battle in Skyrim. Different ones each night.
Creased Horizon I've heard that it's definitely not Ragnar the Red
Has the "poultrymancer" been covered yet? Cause I just ran into him and it was the weirdest thing I've seen

Also, he can't afford an all-out war with the Empire, so, the rebellion it's going to fail anyway, HAIL THE EMPIRE
