- I've seen a few different places post about the new line of Fender MIM guitars and I can unironically say - "Fender listened!!!" 😂. My current editing rig is down, I did the best with what I had to get this one done

Yup, still love that orange Mustang! Would've preferred the black Jaguar in charcoal frost metallic, but adding a mint guard would bring it into the ballpark for me. Could be they're leaving that combination for an FSR order.
Also, love the fat 70s headstock, as was found on my beloved Squier Standard Series!
I love charcoal frost metallic, I wish it was on more guitars in general. I saw a Fano Oltre that was their "take" on the mustang that almost got me to bite but regular fender scale length and no vibrato.... :(
Loving the entire Vintera II line. This is a step in the right direction.
I agree, just need the QC and playability to be improved and they can then justify the pricing.
@@AudiomoMusicLet’s hope.
Well-done to Fender Mexico on the return of rosewood. Be interesting to see how these new models pan out.
Fender has a lot riding on basically everything they are selling right now, for their own sake they better be good
Yay on the Mustangs!!! Now I have decide what color to get. Drooling....
You have to decide??? Deb I thought this would be a no brainer for you
@AudiomoMusic Lol.... Blue is my favorite color, and I miss my original "burgandy" a lot. The orange is awesome too. Time to sell some stuff so I can get both. 😊
Yay for rosewood!!
It's awesome!
@@AudiomoMusic It sure is!
I love the Pau Ferro figuring on my P90 Mustang- looks gorgeous
But yeah rosewood belongs on the Vintera models 💯
A much needed step in the right direction - really enjoying most of these news wise and hoping the QC, build quality, service are better and that they actually have what they in them... but a big positive step so fingers crossed! nostalgia over the delonge strat now - loved mine back in the day haha
I had a chance to get one of the graffiti yellows early and passed because I've learned the hard way several times never chase the past - just keep going forward and appreciate the memories :)
@@AudiomoMusic exactly that! Loved the one I had, still a huge fan of Tom and how Blink inspired me in my very very early days but I’m not that player any more either and, while I’ll always carry every influence with me, it’s ok to just smile, hope others enjoy it but pass on it personally.
Glad I saved my money. Can't wait for new Vintera 2 series that VW Jaguar love the black inlay (i.m.p.) definitely getting it to match my squier Jazzmaster 70s vibe keep rocking man 😎🎸✌️
That's awesome man, hope they come soon I can't wait to see what people think of them
Cool info! I have the Tele Custom Vintera and love it. Always like to see what Fender is up to.
I love tele customs! you have great taste
Good day Jim. Thanks for the info.
Thanks Chris I'm happy you found it useful
Not gonna pay Japanese quality prices for these even though they look great.
Yep, I'm simply relaying some information - not a chance I'd pay for one of these over a Japanese guitars at the new pricing. It's a step in the right direction at least!
I think the burgundy mustang is pretty good cos you never find them anymore and the original ones from the 60’s are ridiculously priced because of Kurt Cobain. I was lucky enough to get a Japanese reissue from a few years back with the matching headstock but they’re so uncommon
Very, very early on this youtube channel years ago I had one of those burgandy with matching headstock japanese reissues I did a brief sound demo of, it sold within 15 minutes of being listed
I'll be pre-ordering the Burgundy Comp this week. Expensive for a MIM, but I don't mind to own it from brand new.
I've been waiting for Fender to release a 70s Strat in vintage white (at a lower price point, comparatively speaking) for a while now and was pleasantly surprised to see it included!
Nice taste, it's such an awesome look. I see older Japanese reissues of them from time to time online and get tempted but if in person it would be a bit harder if the guitar is great to play!
definitely getting a bass VI. I just bought a Squier one recently... and I was going to mod it... but I'm going to sell it and get this Vintera one now instead.
yes on the telecaster thinline whooohooo. i bought a 70s vintera with a pau ferro neck i like it allot. yeah i see youre point about they should have had rosewood in the first place to match to the vintage spec. the jaguar looks really good as well.
Thanks vince and yeah I'm excited to try these as they show up locally, I'll be sure to get my hands on as many as I can
Exciting and interesting that they're doing a Vintera II bass vi! What I'm most curious about is the difference in specs between this new one and the Squier CV bass vi. What will justify the cost (other than the headstock saying Fender)?
I've never played a bass vi in my life, I may actually be able to for once if these ship to the store here haha
@@AudiomoMusic I own the Squier bass vi and I've been thrilled with it.
Some of the Vintera models are already costlier than an entry level American made Fender. My two Teles are MIM, the two Squiers are made in Indonesia, and the MIJ Aerodyne Jazz bass was bought used and flawless.
I don't see a need for an American Fender in light of their current QC issues since laying off a lot of staff at Corona.
I prefer my Teles with a maple board, but by Gar a Jazzmaster needs a rosewood board LOL.
they really need to get it together and at the bare minimum make sure the right parts are going on the right guitars 100% of the time for their USA models... people thought the CBS era was bad but some of the stuff i've seen these days from corona makes me question if this may be worse all things considered.
That SM58 sounds great
Wasn't expecting this but I agree, 57 and a little compression - just works!
Some good moves. RW is well appreciated. Pricing though is a tough one. VERY soft used market, so you would have to REALLY like something to pay for the now bigger than ever gap to get new???
Me personally, no chance 😆 however I know many people prefer to buy new guitars for one reason or another and the price isn’t as important to them.
Supposedly in August, all fender guitars are going to get price increases.
Yeah I mentioned that was gonna happen in June, it's par for the course and it might not even be the last hike of the year.
What a fantastic video have a good weekend jlm
Same to you Amin thank you for always being so positive
Whats up with that 70s Deluxe Tele the rear pick up upside down?
Really good question, haven't the slightest idea.
Jim my friend I've splahed out and bought a burns guitar from guitar guitar the sound from there pickups is just like my mates jaguar but better have a look at them mine is the 24 and 3 quarter length it's based on a 62 jazz guitar a bargain take care mate
that's awesome alan, scale length is a fun thing to mess with. I really enjoy the shorter scale stuff great you got a new guitar that you like!
As you know I was a bass player in a punk band just played around the west Midlands but trying to learn guitar and I've a ibanez rg a harley benton 335 copy and a telecaster copy also a 1982 yamaha bb1200 bass but this burns is class mate I paid the same in 1982 as this guitar cost me insane really when you think about it
CompStang my beloved
I friggin love those things
Good morning my friend.
Hey Rich you fighting the good fight today in so cal?
Vintera 2? Hmmmm! Well over a grand for a MIM now is a bit crazy. I can get used Highway Ones and American Specials for that.
No Esquire. No fiesta red 60s Strat either. 70s Strats in 50s colours? Hmmmmm.
Gutted the mustangs will not have matching headstocks
50s Jazzmaster - yes! 70s Jazzmaster - not digging the necks. Mustangs - yes! Shame they've removed the sonic blue 50s strat but love the sonic blue on the 60s Tele. Do / will these include the 'modded' variants with the S1 switching?
That remains to be seen, modifieds weren't on the shop page but who knows - they could do it or just offer a differnet line altogether for that stuff
These are nice but pricey $1350 for the cheapest models and up to $1600 if is a direct price conversion. Really like that vintage blonde jag color but for me being canadian it way cheaper to get made in japan guitars.
I'd rather have the MIJ guitar too - so win win in my book that it'd be even less.
These are gunna devalue Vintera’s with PF boards, If anything be kinda unwanted. Also disappointing no Jag with RW.
I'm with you on the Jag man, but at least they offered a Jag. The American Vintage and Pro lines don't have em at all.
Hopefully they've gotten their crap together with the electronics. I have a Vintera Jazzmaster, it's an amazing guitar but the pickup selector sucks.
Yeah man, same issue with a Vintera Jag except with the sliders... thing never consistently worked.
Is it me or do the mustangs also have body contours?
Yep, accurate to the original competition mustangs of the late 60s early 70s
@@AudiomoMusic that's great news. The racing stripes some how don't make sense on the classic vibes because there is no body contour. Contoured body, rosewood board, hell of guitar man
These prices are outrageous.
They aren't the only ones, I'm seeing MIC Eastmans for 3 grand new. The entire industry is out of it's mind.
@@AudiomoMusic I totally agree man. It can’t just be inflation. Someone is making big out of this.
It's just not sustainable - for American Gibson and Fender you can kind of grin and bear it because they have the nostalgia card on a lot of people... but new mostly CNC made chinese guitars for 3 grand? Thank God I know about the small Japanese builders and if I really want another guitar I dont' have to deal with any of this.
Competition Mustangs rock.
i 100% support this
@@AudiomoMusic And now a '23 JDM White with Red Stripes Mustang is somehow headed my way. I could blame you for all the hints on how to shop Digimart ... but wanting this guitar is my fault :P
Wow, rosewood. But, not for Jags??
That's exactly what I thought, especially since there are no production Jaguars from Fender USA outside of the Johnny Marr that has a rosewood board surely the MIM line would??? Guess not...
@@AudiomoMusic oh well. I've got me a KC Jag from last year, and just grabbed a 2011 NOS Blacktop Jag, on which the silver has turned to gold, that was hanging in the shop in Bangkok for 12 years. I guess I don't need to spend any more. :-) But Fender has really been cruel to Jag lovers. BTW, I had a 2023 MIJ Jag in my hands for a few hours, but sent it back. It was absolutely stunning, but had a chunk of paint missing down to the wood near the neck pocket, and the neck was on to one side. I was heartbroken because I don't think there'll be any more, but didn't want to try to fix a brand new guitar.
That jaguar is...something. Looking for the right word. Ah, your shirt! NOPE.
That was the one that made me say... "what?"
@@AudiomoMusic Has a TVL copper jazzmaster vibe with that neck. I dislike that guitar as much as this jag. Glad I'm not in the market. And if I was ➡JP
Looks like they got the horrible shaped 70s Mustang upper horn! Oh no
It's too bad the Vintera II with the Competition Stripes will no doubt be EU only like they always seem to be.
I wouldn't be so sure about that one, time will tell
*Hey Fender* it is NOT a competition without the matching headstock. I dont know whos got the boner for not allowing them again on a Mustang that wouldve actually fit the bill, again. Fire that person, who ever is the product director. That was flat stupid. 50 bucks in paint means the difference in an almost guitar, and nailed it guitar.
Fender are really good at missing really important details.
@AudiomoMusic indeed, like issuing the first KC Mustang in the late 2000's, about 15yrs late for any real hype. I mean maybe that model did fine, but it was Reverb and influencers pushing it because they missed the decade it was relevant by good measure.
Those Jags look pretty awful. What a pity... a Lake Placid Blue with rosewood fingerboard would be much nicer.
Also I miss the 60s Lacquer series... a revival of this line would be killer.. same for the Road Worn Jaguars/Jazzmasters
I think basically anything with a rosewood board would have been better, especially considering how few jags are being made by FMIC brands in general with actual rosewood. I had one of those Fiesta Red 60s Jags, I'm kind of happy they aren't coming back because if they had the same specs, HSC, QC, and nitro they'd be 2 grand new even being MIM haha
