    While I won’t be buying one, I’m happy to see Fender do a re-issue of these and agree that the yellow version is the most desirable. I built my own Delonge with Squire parts and I just like the look of a maple neck on these more than the darker rosewood. The neck plate on these re-issues are pretty sweet looking, though

      U know what I hate more? 21 frets and 9.5 fret radius necks. MODERNIZE 22 FRETS AND 12 FRET RADIUS. why is that so hard to do!

    I have a 2001 Fender American strat in hot rod red with maple neck... I got it new in 2001 and have converted it into a Tom DeLonge strat over the years. It has a single invader pickup with a push/pull for coil splitting. The hardware is all black with fender black locking tuners. It is an absolute beast of an instrument, and can hold its own in just about any genres.

    “My dad raised me on classic rock” . . . . and proceeds to list all the 90’s punk rock bands. 🤣🤣🤣 I guess we will now start hearing AFI, Blink, etc. on the Golden Oldies station. I feel super old at age 42 altering hearing this line. 😭😭😭

    Looking at the listing for it, it's cool that it's rosewood rather than pau ferro, and it's a slab board too.

    I wonder what this reissue will do to the values of the original ones? I’ve felt like they have gotten way out of hand.

    Today, I'm comparing this new lasagna to my old lasagna. I've changed out the noodles on the lasagna for tires, the sauce and meat and cheese for various pieces of metal, so now it's a Pontiac Bonneville. But anyway, let's compare it to my new lasagna.

    When using a camera footage stabilizer effect in video editing, change the effect percentage to 2-10% so your footage doesn’t warp as much. 3:23 your footage will look a lot better. Less is more with editing effects! Great video🎉

    Nice guitar, put a Duncan Invader in an old MIJ Strat 15 years ago, they sound great clean, but that's another story. Honestly though, $1300 for a MIM one pickup guitar? The executives at Fender must be getting real good weed in Cali!!!!

    I like the review of the reissue, but is comparing it to a heavily modded Squier one from the early 2000s a realistic comparison?

    • @JeremySheppard
      @JeremySheppard  Рік тому +1

      No. Not at all. But I prefaced it by saying that. I included it hoping it would add validity to the review since I love this guitar and have owned it for 20 years.

    LOL Bro, yer old Squier sounds better... I know it's the pickup, but it's just hilarious. I got the Epi Delonge, I love that. At first I was hyped, and would want the yellow one too, but I can't get over the overpriced cash grab move from Fender. I also got 13 other guitars/basses lol. I might just wait out on a used one for $800 in a few months. Great Video.

    • @JeremySheppard
      @JeremySheppard  Рік тому

      No, it's for the clocks. 😂. Seriously though, I own that it's an entirely different guitar.
      The new TD as it sits is absurd and is hard to use with most amps. Unless you have a high powered amp that can keep it clean it will always be overdriven. It needs a more sensible pickup.
      The antiquity humbucker is perfect, imo for bringing it into reality, then, paired with a treble bleed it is usable at all volumes.
