    Just ordered 2 of these for canoe trips. Really excited about the bigger hammock. I already have an ultralight backpack zip and an explorer deluxe. Now my whole family will have a hammock for camping.

      I too have hammocks for the whole family. So easy and quick to set up camp anywhere

    I just love mine.easy to set up and super comfortable. Large rain tarp makes the difference in sunny days or rainy days. Insects aren't a problem. live in northern Canada. The snake skin is awesome as well

      The tarp is a lifesaver. The smaller models make it difficult to have a dry place to store stuff or to hang out when it’s pouring

    Great video! Thank you. I have ordered one of these. The Hennessey website says two sets of snake skins are required, one for the hex tarp and another for the hammock. I noticed you have everything in one set of snake skins. Does it fit okay? Any idea why Hennessey would say two sets are required?

    Does it come with the carabiners

    • @Ocean4Life
      @Ocean4Life  3 роки тому

      No carabiners included … I’ve stopped using them, saves a tiny weight and space and still super easy

    No doubt a great product! But i never get used to the banana shape! Have you ever tried a Amok Draumr? Thank you for showing me some details i did not know. Cheers 🔥

    • @Ocean4Life
      @Ocean4Life  4 роки тому +1

      I've never tried Draumr, but it looks amazing!! I'm finding that the "banana-factor" is reduced greatly in the Safari since it's large enough to sleep diagonally. If being completely flat is a requirement then the Draumr, or even a tent, would probably be better. But I'm finding that more often than not hammock is the only option where I go, there is just not a nice flat area for a tent

      @tshansen 4 роки тому

      @@Ocean4Life we should arrange for you to try a draumr one day! 😉 when you get used to hammock camping i feel like you see better all the options for it! You kinda look for spots to camp in a different way with hammocks compared to tent!

      @@tshansen motorcycle vacationing this summer we ended up in an area with absolutely nowhere to camp. We were exhausted and ended up camping in a steep hill with lots of pine trees. If we were tenting the option would have been a hotel or cottage. With the hammock you just know there will be somewhere to set up camp.
      I don’t think I’ve even seen anyone use the Draumr other than on the net

    Have you had any problems with condensation between your sleeping pad and sleeping bag? I just tried my safari with my Seatosummit insulated ultralight pad and got alot of condensation.

    • @Ocean4Life
      @Ocean4Life  3 роки тому

      No condensation problems. If permitted I will tie the tarp a bit high to ensure there’s plenty of air between the tarp and the mosquito net. Maybe I wiggle around more during the night so condensation escapes?

      @@enterprise8979 never tried the blackbird. My buddy is around 188 / 100kgs. He slept well in the explorer, so safari would definitely be big enough
